She made me realized I was using too much product which could lead to irritation and more hyperpigmentation.

I’m definitely adding silk sheets and pillow cases along with a humidifier. I would like to see a video regarding darkness and dryness under the eyes due to allergies/sinuses and irritation from rubbing. Thank you so much for sharing. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
She the truth! I went to Florida from California just to see her. It’s been 2 weeks and my skin is so clear already!!! I’m gonna post a video soon Thank you Dr Alexis!
Not buying unnecessary products. During lockdown I realise how much make-up and skincare products I had. My goal is to use all I have before purchasing anything new.
Just all around the absolute best channel on UA-cam! Educational, entertaining, and accurate. I’m so grateful that you’re willing to share all the things in your big brain to help us with or skin! Amazing!
We absolutely love you Dr Alexis. Thanks for all your great tips side not you Mom and daughter are BEAUTIFUL just like you it runs in the FAMILY ❤️❤️❤️
Thank's Dr. Stephens these are really Good tip's..And your Mother is Absolutely gorgeous and your bedroom is Goals it's beautiful it looks so Cozy and Relaxing.
WOW 🤩 you, your mom & your daughter are all GORGEOUS These tips are so useful & practical The only thing I’m struggling with is tretinoin.. I’ll use it & then my face is all irritated for the next 3-4 days So it feels like I’m harming my skin more than anything (it’s 0.01% not even the base 0.025% that’s considered less intense 😭)
Buffer it with moisturizer. Cleanse, moisturize, wait 15-30 minutes, then apply the Tretinoin. Apply a moisturizer afterwards, too, if needed. Also cut back on other actives ( vitamin C, chemical exfoliants, etc) until your skin becomes more acclimated to it. I’ve been using tret off and on for 20 years, and I still don’t use it every night. Good luck, and hope that helps a little!
So informative 👏 and timely! I'm definitely going to be diligent in checking expiration dates and note the product shelf life once opened. I shared this content with my daughter who enjoys collecting copious amounts of cosmetics and skincare products! Hehe 😉
I appreciate you for all these tips. Since last year I’ve been doing good with not over buying products. And since 2022 has started I’ve been reapplying sunscreen and each time I do I feel proud of myself lol
Thanks for the pillow case tip. I usually change mine at least once a week, but I'll pay more attention to flipping it throughout that week. You're the best, and I totally want to party with your mom. She looks like fun. Have a great 2022.
This was a great video! I recently started using the Pique green tea packets so that will be a habit I will continue in 2022. For video requests, I’m going to Ghana in March and would love to see strategies on managing my skincare routine in a hot humid climate.
Hello Dr. Stephens, Thank you for all of your information! I wanted to know if you had a video on what exactly a basic skin care routine should look like. As in cleanser, toner, moisturizer, exfoliator etc and why we include each step. It hit me when you said a 12-20 step routine isn’t needed (which hands down cause I was never gonna keep up with all that😂😂😂) . Thank you for your time and effort, you’ve got all of us out here killing it 💪🏾🥂💁🏾♀️
Thank you for these tips. Targeting to make a habit of washing my hands before I wash my face, sleeping with the humidifier on and reapplying my sunscreen.
Wonderful video! ❤️👏🏻 It seems like these things are not often thought/talked about as much, since it’s easy to just get caught up in the buzziest new product. But these simple tips are so effective and make such an impact in overall skin health. The expiration date realization I had recently really made me kick myself for all the overbuying and over-testing of new products. I have so many that are no longer effective, thus have been wasted. Hate that. It helped to change the way I viewed buying skincare... focusing on buying what you need (which also means becoming more ingredient-smart), when you need it, can be more helpful for both skin and wallet, and of course much less wasteful.
Love seeing your beautiful family! Thank you for the reminders and good habits to follow. I’m relieved to see that I’m doing most of this. Definitely need to stay on top of cleaning beauty tools!
Ive been writing the dates on my products for years. It really helps in knowing if the product is worth the cost-per-use. Im going to start using a silk pillow case again. Not sure why I stopped in the first place. Might dust off my old humidifier too. Thanks for the tips!
Listen these 22 Tiny Habits to Improve your Skin in 2022 is everything...GOOOO Dr. Stephens 🙂....thats my doctor and she knows what she is talking about
No. 8!!!!!! All those steps /routine. My skin always gets more irritated doing all that much. Just wash, cleanse and hydrate and the skin is calm. So many products. Not necessarily useful🤦🏾♀️. I guess every skin differ No. 17. I will donate all! Thanks for the tip.
love this video! I'm proud to say that I've been doing most of these habits in the past several months. and I'm just starting to be more diligent in washing my make-up tool (even though I only have 1 tool haha). thank you for the reminder, Dr. Stephens. btw what a lovely family :)
Awesome I have been using hot water for showers and cold water for face thinking it will be helpful but it’s just trying out my skin or clogging my pores.
Happy New Year! ✨Needed this video! I often forget about the life span of the product after I open it, and only look at the expiration so this was a great reminder!
I am horrible at drinking my water, mainly because I hate using the bathroom so frequently. But the water habit is definitely what Im going to try. Love this video! Thanks for the great tips… and I see my girl Jess Sims on your peloton. She’s amazing, one of my favorites. Im a total fitness junkie.
I need your help if you don't mind. I fell off my fitness journey horribly. What can do to rebuild strength and get the definition back in my thighs and arms? I like the leg press machine and would like to get that Thang sitting as well.
Thanks Dr. Alexis. Your videos always help me. . . These tips are so important. (Loved the clip of you getting your beauty rest. Looked like your scarf or bonnet was missing. Lol) Sending you love ❤
