You can still do a lot besides support with those and some of those excel better at non support than most of the non support plays
It's difficult seeing Myelin so disenchanted. It was hard to see it happen to Watts a while back.
Honestly, he might just be tired. Has a kid. Game content release times is early morning for him. In some of his vids he comments it’s early AM.
I think the red darkness subclass is coming post final shape. Too many hints in game about it. The red cylinders in veil containnent where we fight calus. Osiris has the 6 canisters in his neomuna setup with the various energies and one is empty canister.
They made a point of saying the campaign is distraction free which was a pain point with strand in a lightfall. So i think we maybe get it after the campaign
Imagine if once the raid is beat by the world first team it unlocks the darkness subclass for everyone as a complete surprise. That would help seal the expansion closing as a win and really knock the ball out of the park
you guys should watch the showcase a few more times before forming your suggestions, as this podcast shows you guys dont remember shit from it and making incorrect assumptions of it.
They are more clownish then anything . Their lack of intelligence or nuisance for this game is astounding considering how long they have played. Unfortunately with the lack of solid Destiny discussion podcast this is what we have

Calling it here. First raid team weakens or exposes the Witness. Then it opens a public event where everyone goes ham on the Witness. Billion/Trillion plus health bar so that servers can update with the health much like the Almighty movement was.
That’s a very interesting concept. Would like to see something like that but not sure if they can pull that off!

One thing to remember with the whole darkness is memory and the light is physical, is that Bungie said that the pale heart is a place where light and dark come together so that is why I think you see pieces of both.
There's an exclamation point above your head when you need heals, I throw healing nades all the time in low mans when I see that.
What if the "new subclass" which was leaked is in fact real, BUT, it ends up becoming a final surprise reward AFTER the Final Shape concludes and The Witness has been eliminated?
Maybe this "new subclass" ends up a Darkness focused subclass which will bring a Light and Darkness balance for our Guardians?
We will have 3 subclasses for the light and 3 subclasses for Darkness.
Perhaps this "balance" ties into the things we do in each of the 3 individual Episodes.

I've seen so many people not understand this, but she said "raids are where you defeat the bad guy" as in a raid is where you defeat the campaign villain so we have to defeat the Witness in the raid. She was not saying there were multiple raids

Dante Alighieri- The Divine Comedy, epic poem about the visitation of Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise? Vergil and his epic poem the Iliad ? True these authors are inspirations for the DMC (mostly in name) characters Dante and Vergil, but presuming any inspiration for the Final Shape is taken from the aforementioned, I imagine it would be more along the lines of the literary works rather than that awesome character-action game by Capcom.
I was expecting a third darkness subclass just cause it's "the end", like "might as well complete the set" type of thing. I wish they had more time to implement it, it would be cool for a 6 man raid to have one of each subclass.
I think it's very specifically the PINNACLE grind that is boring or any sort of problem in D2. And the increase between seasons too I guess... The xpac launch grind to cap and then one 'powerful' grind a year is kinda fun IMO.
In many forms of media that explore the afterlife the person who is dead often doesn't remember dying and the afterlife they are in has resemblance to the life they lived. Especially with calling cayde a virgil i fully expect him to be dead and bound to the traveler, not a memory, which gives them some drama to work with in the writing of cayde realizing He's dead. The zone being linear i wonder if it has "gates" like the gates of hell, but function like the infinite forest with a tile set of the major areas we have been to in the past.
Red Death's shield regeneration was changed from instantly refilling to refilling in segments after the nerf to Hungering Blade made Red Death pointless.
Crota wasn't easy since it was so difficult to get to power. Even a power level below was punishing. Add to that, the lag switch he employed and the fact that most of the player base couldn't even complete the bridge encounter even after they were up to level (as evidenced by Age of Triumph and 2 manning it while the others in fireteam after fireteam would perish endlessly).
56:41 I think the episodes will deal with how the events of TFS affected the rest of the system. If the campaign is solely within the pale heart then we don’t know how it’s affecting the outside world.
Regarding Cayde; how about it’s actually the Witness who’s brought him back, together with every other ex-lightbearer creature stored as a memory/blueprint in the pale heart? Seeing as its gripe with the Traveller is how it’s fed up with the concept of perpetual rebirth and the chaos it leads to. That would also include members of its own civilization, since they were lightbearers.
When your team mate's shields are broken they get a symbol above their head. Plain as day.
Literally an Exclamation mark replaces their Gaurdian Rank when they take damage. Pretty easy to tell when Fireteam is taking damage imo.
Taniks of the Travelers mind as a raid boss confirmed
zavalla is more duty than justice. he would be a hive god of order. he would see the conquest as his duty to bring peace to the universe by right of combat.
Ikora is probably just a straight god of combat/war and would rival xivu. based on her absurd power and lore of ruthlessness. and she would carry that prowess in combat with her to battle.
i find cayde hard to gauge in this context. narratively he would be closer to eris ig.. but if we could do any real concept cayde is basically the heart of the vanguard leadership and therefore represents hope. so he could be a hive god of hope. his quips in battle empowering and rallying his brood in battle, whilst simultaneously striking fear in to their enemies. for the would cower in just how casually he walks a battlefield and revels in the chaos enough to joke about it with friend and foe alike.. truly a frightening experience in a real life scenario set in destiny's universe.
because most of of the ppl we are acquainted with have areas of grey in their history an destiny's universe is downright scary to live in, you could spin many of them like cayde. but there arent as many that have straight aggressive or combative concepts the could represent. at leaast not as much as to say they would aptly embody that concept to the existent of being able to exist and be recognized in hive pantheon alongside oryx xivu sav and eris.
like eris has been so ridiculously instrumental in the dismantling of the hive. the culmination into a hive god of vengeance is just beautiful. so much so that to basically have her assume the roll of equivalence to the 2/3s of a panetheon she has helped befall , .... i think there are only like 4 or 5 other stories as narratively intriguing as this..

the light and the dark in general and paracausality nd such.
and then id say stuff with the vex.
and like to stand on the same ground as these things in a universe as intricately detailed as destiny is quite impressive.
Resolution for Xivu will come after TFS in the Episode "Heresy". Throughout her voice lines in Ghosts of the Deep, Xivu talks about how us not taking up the mantle of the Taken King is heresy to the Sword Logic

Episodes will be final shape epilogue and bridge to new story arc.

Final Shape "raid" could be a very light on mechanics lenghty six man mission with full matchmaking. It probably goes against the grain of whatever day one competing raids teams want, but it'd be a huge W for solo players that simply can't or won't engage with a standard raid.
LFG coming in Season 23 so very unlikely they'll enable Matchmaking for a Raid.
I would absolutely love it if lego and bungie released a destiny series

Pretty sure we're not getting another expansion for at least 2 years abd that episodes will carry the game so that expansions have more time to be polished and overdeliver

I’d love to get to play the new season, but I forgot part of the reason I stopped playing D2 was bc it wouldn’t let me play. I get contacting D2 servers relentlessly despite having high speed internet (450). It’s gone on for years and has only gotten worse. Couldn’t even clear out my vault yesterday without being completely dropped multiple times.
Games working fine for me. Maybe Starfield will tickle your fancy?

heres my Theory about cayde. I 100% believe that the traveler knew it was going to lose. It knew that it was fighting a losing battle and no matter what it did it was never going to stop the witness. The traveler goes "I have to stop this cycle this never ending cycle of chase and run. I must face the darkness" thus relates to facing the darkness or its "Mistake" or "Creation". So the traveler takes a page out of savathun's book shoots the light beam into the witness creating the giant tower that points into the portal we see in Root of nightmares. Then the Traveler goes and looks for the Cayde's spirit or memories. It chooses cayde as a figure or a speaker of the traveler. Bungie describes cayde as a "Virgil". Virgil in the bible in Dante's divine comedy Virgil was a character who guided him through hell and purgatory. Now theres a lot of interpretations of virgil depending on how you view it but i think they were baseing him off Dante's work. Cayde is not going to leave the traveler its not gonna happen. It feels very cheap for bungie to bring him back to the D2 tower and it kills his final stand in forsaken. Remember star wars the rise of skywalker. Palpatine coming back ruins Anakin's sacrifice and Redemption. I think cayde will be our figure for the traveler or our new "Speaker of the traveler" and in the final shape we will finally be able to connect ourselves with the traveler. After a decade of silence the traveler will now finally talk through cayde.
Here's my issue with the episodes going forward. I don't personally care about the hive or the scorn anymore.
I want new stories with new races and enemies to face. We've been fighting the same enemies for 10 years now. How many splinter factions can we deal with of the fallen? It's time to move past these things and get new blood into this series.
