But as we all got older, I settled down and had a family. He has been divorced multiple times and never seems to be able to keep close friends or relationships. Eventually people see it’s all one-sided with him. My daughter is almost 3 and he’s never even shown interest in being an uncle to her. It’s like he competes with a toddler for attention. Just all really sad.

People need to understand if someone doesn’t respond after you text them multiple times they’re not interested. I remember I had this guy spamming me constantly and then the last message was asking me if he was too ugly, after that I had enough and blocked him. This blew me away. The reason being ‘cause I can see way too much of myself in him. He’s a lot worse, especially with just how long he goes on without any prompting or positive reinforcement, making it seem like he isn’t nervously trying to work his way up to any real point like I would, and instead just making the whole “beating around the bush” thing his entire shtick. There’s no higher objective beyond simply continuing to talk. The fact that I kept seeing words, phrases and speech patterns that I often use was the worst part. It was like looking at a caricature of my own issues, exaggerated for dramatic effect.

As someone with ADHD, I can recognize his "stream of consciousness". That's exactly what he's doing. I also go on tangents with branches of loosely-related ideas, and mist people with ADHD do. Granted most of us have FAR more self-awareness and get carried away in a conversation of interest with someone we know, not a hostage. None of it makes any sense. At no point does he even try to make an attempt to ask her out on a date. lmaooo i know a guy who's exactly like this (well "know") he was a classmate from *kindergarten* and he messaged me over 10 years later pretending like we're acquaintanced or something; he does the monologuing thing the guy in the video does, and from what i can see on his close friends instagram stories, he likes to flex the fact that he has "conversations" with the opposite sex by posting screenshots of his messages with them. probably without their consent and without them even seeing the story, because those "conversations" look awkward af; hes just yapping on his own, hyping himself up and spamming a bunch of nonsense, and the receivers of those messages usually seem extremely weirded out, but the guy probably never cared or was never aware.

I honestly used to say that shit to women myself when I was younger.
