Absolute pure joy. Forget the talent, skill, timing and all of that, just watch how much fun she is having. I wish I could be that happy doing anything. Rock the freak on, young lady. The world can be yours.
That's what struck me, too. Not just her fantastic technique, but the huge grin that swept over her face more than once during the performance. Tiny girl livin' large.
I've watched this vid many times and I'm amazed each time I watch it. I love the way she bobs her head and grooves. She hasn't memorized anything, she just feels it and "gets it". Its like she heard that riff a thousand times while she was in the womb.
Her smile at the end is like “look daddy, a funny kitty” not “look UA-cam, I’m playing like Bonham and I’m not even ten years old...” My god. What a talent...
Peter T Funny you should say that. If you watch the video where Robert Plant reacts to this same video, he says exactly the same thing ("I know where she can get a job! But she'll have to bring her teachers and parents with her...") He also says Bonzo would have loved this.
I can't get enough of this girls talent..triplets on bass drum using single pedal, the way she moves around like Keith Moon, holding her left arm up high while playing triplets a total Bonham move, yhea I'm sure others do it too but she's playing along with Zep. Then when she starts jamming after the song ends just the beat and timing, and sticking her tounge out while doing double pedal roll!?!?😲😃. Classic drum face. This child is a prodigy and I know she was not forced into it cause she is having way to much fun. To think she has only been on this planet for 8 years and plays at that level just blows me away.
"Dad. I want to learn how to play the drums" Sure Honey how do you want to play? "Like John Bonham" Jesus, could she have chosen a harder drummer to emulate, this young lady is going to be EPIC!!!!
This highlights how original a drummer John Bonham was, and that his bass drum foot was really that fast! Not a double bass. And thanks for the split shot of her foot, too. Great job!
garathome I wasn't sure. But she is using the double bass kick, right? Sometimes it looks like she's only using one foot for the (16th, 32nd? note) bass fills? Like Bonzo?
Christopher, after another view, she didn't engage the 2nd bass pedal until the song was over. I don't think they had this mechanism in Bonzo's day! So yes, she has those fast foot chops all right.
18 dislikes. My God, is there ANYTHING on this earth that somebody won't hate on!??? Forget the stellar talent- I'd give her a LIKE just for that precious giggle at the end. ❤

I've been playing and teaching drums for 39 years. In New York, In America. Learned this song and record in 1982 even when I didn't have the technique yet when I was 16. She's great!! Her timing is very, very good. Solid. Her stick technique is already wonderful. But playing those doubles on the bass drum while barely reaching the pedal is extraordinary at 8! 😲.
This is amazing. In all my years of drumming I can't even come near to the groove that this 8-year-old has, even less manage to hammer out a classic Led Zep tune. I'm selling my drum kit and moving to Mars. Good-bye.
This makes me happy beyond words, a little 8 year old Asian Girl bashing out Led Zeppelin on the drums ,her little smile and grin while she's rockin out is a treat money cant buy, What an Angel and incredible talent..Rock N Roll isnt dead lol.

That's a bit much, no? It's INCREDIBLY impressive for her age of course. It's great! But... Best cover of this song on UA-cam? I'd say you're being a bit silly (or you're not a drummer or not paying close attention to the details in her playing)...

Absolutely amazing!!! The most impressive thing I've ever watched. Thank you for this joy I'm feeling. She was not even thinking about it, just enjoying as childish game. Genius.
I've watched this awesome kid 3-4 times in a row, thinking, "Is this for real?" One I watched just her feet. Ok, just WOW! The last is I didn't take my eyes off her face. For the entire 2:57, I can tell the love she has after every beat is more than the last one. My favorite at the end was that pure unbiased giggle. My concern for the future of rock is no longer a concern! /m\ Pure joy!
Words can't express how much fun I'm having watching this. The sheer joy and enthusiasm emanating from this girl is breathtaking... Thank you Bill Burr for sending me here:-)
I know the feeling Marvin Bordelon, but even worse when wondering why I ever picked up the sticks 30 plus years ago!! I bow to her amazing talent and joy!!
Dear cute little girl. I hope someday the universe will be kind enough to bless us & see you play the drums with your own band. Keep doing what you love & keep smiling. 😁

I hope your parents are very, very proud of the drumming monster they created :) You blow away most of the pros I've seen in my life (drummers who get payed to play, in other words), and I'm one of them...I bow to you with the utmost respect and adoration...you should get payed for your talent, and I hope you keep playing!

It's the joy on her face that really makes this special - she knows how good she is!
Ounce of gold $1300, McDonald's cheeseburger $1.79, room at holiday inn $189. yoyokas joy to all of us priceless!!! You can't slap the smile 😊 off my face 😂
Best part about this. She just looks...so damn happy while playing. That kind of energy is infectious.
This girl kicks ass.
Agreed. Watching her get a laugh out of playing gives me a huge grin. It's contagious!
I love how much she is enjoying it. Incredible!
I'm a drummer myself. The look of joy on the face of this beautiful little gem is PRICELESS!!!

She's massively talented and incredibly adorable. She draws us in with her sheer joy and happiness ...she's the best!
It’s not just the incredible ability it’s the joy she puts into it ,
Words can't express how much fun I'm having watching this. The sheer joy and enthusiasm emanating from this girl is breathtaking... Thank you Bill Burr for sending me here:-)
And then that giggle at the end. I am smitten! Such a talented adorable one!

Just when you think you're talented. An 8 yr old channels John Bonham.
Right? Man, she's awesome!
And she makes it look easy.
I know the feeling Marvin Bordelon, but even worse when wondering why I ever picked up the sticks 30 plus years ago!! I bow to her amazing talent and joy!!
little known secret - wear a polka dot sock.
She was 7. How much worse can a guy feel?
Perhaps one of the hardest songs to plays the drums to. She did it wish ease. Thanks for the smile.
If you use a single kick
Which this absolute fucking madlad actually went and did
The look on her face as she rides that hi-hat during the choruses is priceless.
I cannot stop watching this. The joy on this kids' face is EXACTLY what music is all about.
Mind blown. Just about as rock n roll as it can get
Dear cute little girl. I hope someday the universe will be kind enough to bless us & see you play the drums with your own band. Keep doing what you love & keep smiling. 😁
And her foot can barely reach the drum pedal!
John would be very amused and proud of her as well!!
She has to stand up a little bit to pull off the hits. So amazing, i have a feeling she will be one to keep an eye on!
Shades of Short Round in the second Indiana Jones movie, except he had a block!
Simply amazing - this song has dogged me for over 30 years and she nails those bass drum triplets - so cool!
*Breaks my drum sticks in half and tosses them into the fireplace
*
But seriously, this warms my heart and gives me hope for the future of our youth. And she looks just like my daughter did at that age..
ROCK ON, YOYOKA!!
i'm not sure what is more awesome: the high level of skill she has to play such a complex piece of drumming or the sheer joy in which she plays it. unbelievable. that kick drum work is insane.
That kick! Quadruplets? Quintuplets? Mad skills, kid.
Incredible deserves to be Rock Star
Paging Jimmy. Your drummer is here.
Mak No no no Jimmy is dangerous...
She even had the feel...her expressions were priceless! Wonderful to watch.....wonder how good she'll be when she grows. I am totally impressed.
Oh SH**!...that's all i could think of when I first saw this. Excellent. I hope your parents are very, very proud of the drumming monster they created :) You blow away most of the pros I've seen in my life (drummers who get payed to play, in other words), and I'm one of them...I bow to you with the utmost respect and adoration...you should get payed for your talent, and I hope you keep playing!
Brionius5, I’m also a payed musician (bass) for over 25 years and I completely agree with you, she’s clearly gifted, then the giggle at the end, killer. Check her out doing stray cats “rock this town”
I don't know how many times I have watched this, but the joy throughout, and the smile, laughter and the wave at the end, always make my day.
I share your sentiments exactly.
