I listen with headphones sometimes without watching the video. What you said is so true. You would never believe who’s hitting them drums like they owe her something!
Talking about elevating the piece from the original. It’s nothing short of amazing that a 9 year old can conjure such groove, feel and composition. I think you’re our 21st century ‘Mozart’. Kudos.
Just wondering why no one is REACTING to this cover? Do the REACTORS find this cover too easy, or...? I'm not a drummer, but too me, this is enormous energy, happiness, a lot of drive and SKILL Though not having drummers skills, but having been in bands, I find this young girls skills exceptional for her age, or actually also disregarding her age, and I find myself listening to this particular "drive" almost every day. So, I guess, something must be right... ...or maybe I'm completely barking up the wrong... yeah, you know... drumskin...
Yeah all the things drummers I've played with have whined about she runs right thru. I don't get it . I'm 51 started drumming in 3rd grade, guitar as a teen, never came close to this at her age. I didn't even know who peter Gabriel was.
@Forrest Hunter sorry I wasn't clear. I didn't know who he was when I was 9 yrs old. Of course I know of him now. My musical reference was pretty childish at 9, especially compared to this young lady"s .
@Forrest Hunter yeah I think she's awesome. I suppose I'd heard pretty much the same this vs you had, but my attention span was equivalent to a saltine, the first love I formed on my own musically was probably the stones, then I acquired bad taste for a decade or so, coming back to Zeppelin, he Stones, Zz top etc...
@Forrest Hunter ha thinking about it, I remembered a long forgotten memory. When I was about 4, 5 yrs. Old, each night after a bath, I'd go into my room, get my " invisible" guitar , stand on the ottoman , buck-naked and sing " On the cover of the Rolling Stone" to whoever was there, to great applause. Lol wow, what a crazy memory.
Listen to the original and then listen to what Yoyoka does. She adds so much to the drum performance over the original; Gabriel should hire her and do a remake. :)
When Robert Plant saw her play a Led Zeppelin song he said "I know where she can get a job, but she will have to bring her teacher or parents". I would be in heaven just in her back up band
God dam your so right, i just listened to the orginal and then her version again and to be honest she makes the original sound dull. Yoyoka makes it rock and that drum kit STEAM😁

And good Lord does she ever bring it. Bring more!!!
Yoyoka seems to meld into the kit. She also develops effortless power (or so it appears) from a relaxed grip and use of a slinging action in her drumming style. Just awesome 😎
You have made me fall in love with Led Zepplins music all over again. You actually make their songs BETTER with your drum covers. Why? Because you channel the passion of the original artists and put it on full display for all to enjoy. You are awesome never stop loving what you do!
Title should be “Yoyoka, with PG on vocals.” A master class in how to turn a catchy pop tune into a monster anthem. Unreal. What a gift to the world this talent is.
I'm just glad I'm aware of her now, so in a few years when someone comes to me and says "Hey I just found the best drummer ever" I'll be able to say nonchalantly "Who, Yoyoka? I been a fan of hers for years bro".
When I was her age I was listening to this, dreaming of being in the band and being a rock star someday far into my future, while she's well on her way and more! Get it Yoyoka! The World is yours!

Gotta give her the credit she deserves for not relying purely on all the natural talent she was blessed with, but putting in the time and dedication it takes to reach the level of skill she has gotten to.
I listen with headphones sometimes without watching the video. What you said is so true. You would never believe who’s hitting them drums like they owe her something!
Vejo seus vídeos todos os dias 🤗🇯🇵🥁😉
For some crazy reason I keep coming back to this after 5 years. When I need a good feeling here it is.
I keep coming back every day!
Never ceases to put a smile on my face
Very talented. For me the best part is the epic joy that's evident when she plays. She loves it and that's magical.
Talking about elevating the piece from the original. It’s nothing short of amazing that a 9 year old can conjure such groove, feel and composition. I think you’re our 21st century ‘Mozart’. Kudos.
Yhaaaaaa for Yoyoka. Her bass pedal triplets are killer... then goes to double pedal... mind blown.
Just wondering why no one is REACTING to this cover?
Do the REACTORS find this cover too easy, or...?
I'm not a drummer, but too me, this is enormous energy, happiness, a lot of drive and SKILL
Though not having drummers skills, but having been in bands, I find this young girls skills
exceptional for her age, or actually also disregarding her age, and I find myself listening to
this particular "drive" almost every day.
So, I guess, something must be right...
...or maybe I'm completely barking up the wrong... yeah, you know... drumskin...
Okey, seemed to have missed this one...
ua-cam.com/video/p-r2fnd2-p8/v-deo.html
...that apparently was posted a day or two before...?
It's quite remarkable just how much better this sounds compared to the original, which seems flat and lifeless in comparison. Great job Yoyoka!
Officially now my favorite version of this song!!!!! WOW!!!!!
Oh that beat taking me back to clubbing in the 80's. Rock little Angel.
I have been a musician on my life.. play the rock bands country bands for 45 years.
You're one of the greatest little drummers I've ever seen..😎🇺🇸😘
@Forrest Hunter yep.. the Tubes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iggy, they all came AFTER me..lol
Listen to the original and then listen to what Yoyoka does. She adds so much to the drum performance over the original; Gabriel should hire her and do a remake. :)
just did that, mind blowing what she brings to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also contrasted the two. Not even the same ball park... hell, it ain't even the same sport ( Pulp reference)
Gosh! Ur totally right! Even the remastered version of this grove pales in comparison to the cover by YoyoKa.. 😍
She should have 5 million views on this tune
This video might be my favorite yet I keep loving each video of Yoyoka's.
Don't you just super love this girl!!! She brings SO MUCH HAPPINESS!!! 🧕
purple dinosaur socks I love it!!!
Best drummer in the world.
Lars Ulrich: I'm Metallica's drummer.
Yoyoka: Hold my juice box.
Lars... lol overrated pos! lol A total tool.
@@dutchdude1972 It's not about what I've done, it's about what he says and does that makes him a tool. Besides, I'm not the narcissist he is.
Also there are much better, humble percussionist out there of which, I'd rather listen to.
@@dutchdude1972 greatest metal band in the world is iron maiden hands down! Metallica only wishes they could be like iron maiden.
@@OldGrumpyDude Nicko McBrain is one of the humblest drummers you could ever meet. He will talk to you like he's known you his whole life. I've had the pleasure to meet him 5 times and talk to him. He's really the greatest and funniest people you could ever meet.
I’m a lifelong Metallica fan!! I think even Lars would have to give this girl his seat!! Sorry Lars but it’s true!! This young lady here can play anything perfectly!!! And with this song she did it better!! Way better!!
If we didn't already have the word genius we would have to invent it to describe Yoyoka...and the most delightful genius to boot. Absolutely astounding is the only way to describe her.
I just went over and listened to the original. I think I prefer her drumming to the original recording. Yoyoka is just incredible at holding down a grove. It’s one thing that separates her from other young drummers. It’s not about the flash, it’s about making people want to move.
OMG! I simply can't believe this! What an amazing young lady! She gives a very busy version here, but she never falls off the beat! Watch her kick drum work!
Not only are you a fantastic drummer, you also have great taste in music!
She also has great taste in socks
Fantastic Yoyoka!
This is my favorite cover she does. She is owning that drum set! Total command.
What do you say when you've seen a masterpiece? Bravo? Bellissimo? Give me a few more years and perhaps the words will come. Fantastic? Spellbinding? Who knows. All I know is that if someone had told me that a day would come in my life where I would enjoy watching drum covers as much as I enjoy Yoyoka's I would have smiled and said bring it! And good Lord does she ever bring it. Bring more!!!
Such raw, unadulterated passion for the music. You don’t learn that... it’s ingrained in your soul.
I looked in the dictionary for the definition of "pure joy" - it just said ... "YOYOKA!"
Conservatively speaking I have watched this over 50 times. It's my go to song when I need a jam. Watching you drum this makes me smile. Stay cool!
I cannot watch this kid without smiling from ear to ear
Title should be “Yoyoka, with PG on vocals.”
A master class in how to turn a catchy pop tune into a monster anthem. Unreal. What a gift to the world this talent is.
How have I missed this one, I love Peter Gabriel. This young Maestro does the Maestro Gabriel proud!!
She made the song more exhuberant, what a lil genius
I'm just glad I'm aware of her now, so in a few years when someone comes to me and says "Hey I just found the best drummer ever" I'll be able to say nonchalantly "Who, Yoyoka? I been a fan of hers for years bro".
When I was her age I was listening to this, dreaming of being in the band and being a rock star someday far into my future, while she's well on her way and more! Get it Yoyoka! The World is yours!
If you want to know what playing in the pocket looks like she is your girl. Truly amazing I have never seen anyone quite like her. Bravo 👏 👏 keep up the brilliance. 😀
Great punch on bass, natural sound on snare drum, extremely confident on her right hand...close your eyes and it will seem you are listening to a professional drummer, not a 9 years old girl...!
I do not have to close my eyes for that :-)
she moves like an athlete, a black belt drummer for sure
Not only do I wholeheartedly enjoy Yoyoka’s playing, I love how much SHE enjoys it. This girl grooves! 🥁💕
You're adorable Yoyoka and a very gifted, gifted young artist. God Bless you sweetheart.
She's playing this with the energy of the live version & crushing it.
