    You all know that I love eShakti and have worn and promoted this brand for about a decade now, but if you've shopped with eShakti in the past 6 months or so, you've probably had some frustrating experiences.
    In this video I talk about my recent bad experiences and share some information I've learned from the company. I hope this information will give you what you need to know before you decided to shop with eShakti and what to expect from them right now.

    UPDATE - I placed and order with them on 6/28/23, I received an email the next day with a question about my measurements (just to clarify them, as I somehow had a different number on one of the items) and my order was delivered on 7/20/23. So just about a 3 week turnover, which is pretty good. I also received an email from them apologizing for the later delivery (it was noted on the website that I should have it earlier) and they gave me a $25 credit for the delay. So it seems that at least they are getting better with their communication and their production time is also getting better. So good news.

      They are still horrible. I ordered 2 months ago and have not received my order ( I can share my order no). All requests to get a refund have been declined and they still don't know when the items will ship. can you please advice on how I can get a refund? I have been patient.

      To anyone reading this DO NOT believe this woman. She’s one of their paid ambassadors and gets free items, so her glowing reviews are contingent on the free items. This is how Eshakti have operated for years. They gain notoriety from online content creators and selective customers, who give glowing reviews on all platforms. It’s a grift. I’ve been a customer of Eshakti for 10 years, back then you’d get your items within weeks, and there was a staff member to answer calls and emails. Now Eshakti operates just as one would assume a company from India would operate.

      @@Ooolya You are absolutely ridiculous. You've commented on my Facebook post and now here. What is your problem? I am a content creator, yes, but I am ABSOLUTELY no paid ambassador for them. I was a customer of eShakti's for years and shared their items with my followers because I loved their garments. I made this video (which is clearly not a glowing review) to update people of the issues I was seeing. My followers and subscribers trust me and it was important to me to be as clear and transparent about the brands that I support and promote.
      I truly don't know what your issue is, and it's clear that you have NO idea how content creation or social media influencing works. Take your strange accusations and kick rocks.

    I am glad to have viewed this and noting this is 11 mos ago. This issue continues.😢I Am a multi-year customer for myself and another family member. I placed an order on 3/20/2024 for an event in 7/2024. I was a bit bothered by the length of time this appeared to be taking. Earlier this month (May), another friend said they hadn’t received an order placed either in January or February w/no response to outreach. I looked at my order which still showed as in Creation. As of 5/20/2024, no movement. I started bombarding through phone, the website, and CEO on LinkedIn and today the BBB w/a complaint then belatedly noticed my order is in cutting and stitching. Here’s hoping I’ll receive by the middle of June.

    Thank you for sharing and being so transparent. I started buying from eshakti based on your videos and have loved every piece I've bought from them! This is definitely discouraging to hear, and I hope, like you said, that they get things sorted soon and start to communicate better in the meantime. I want to feel confident buying from them in the future because it has been a wonderful company to buy from over the years!

    Hello, I’m glad to heard someone tell something about what is going on with this company. I was very happy because I was found a company to make my dresses to go to the church, very modest, so I can made the change to made them modest to go go to the church, but I start to experience the same thing. My last order I made it on January 24 2024 and is April 26 and no received yet. My order was 2 dresses supposedly one is done and the other one is in the 2nd step of the production. I feel so bad , because I really like the company, but I done with then.

    After watching all of your past Eshakti videos,I took the plunge and ordered 3 dresses using my actual measurements. Ordered on May 3rd, received about 2 weeks later. Very satisfied with the dresses and their fit. I currently have 3 more in my cart. I had a great experience,hopefully I can have the same if I order again. Thanks for all your information.

    Same! I own about 80 eshakti dresses and the last 6 did not fit even though I provided measurements and paid for custom. I had to return for the first time in years. 😢 I LOVE them and what they offer us bigger gals. I’m just giving them a break and will try again later. Lol.

    Oh my gosh, I went down this same Eshakti rabbit hole a few months ago. I had placed an order for two holiday dresses on black Friday, which arrived (totally ill -fitting) between Christmas and New years. They approved my return right away, and then went completely radio silent on the remakes, despite my constant attempts to contact them. I can't remember exactly when they finally got the remakes to me, but I want to say it was late Feb/early March?
    That said, I've since placed three orders for more standard cotton dresses. The first one arrived about a month after ordering, and the three dresses were some of the best fitting ones I've ever ordered from them. I placed another order May 12, which has not yet shipped, and a third order May 26th, which surprisingly shipped today.
    I'm still promoting them, but with caveats. I've been warning people to allow at least a month or so to get their orders, and suggesting that they do the simpler cotton dresses really well, but can get really hung up on the more complicated ones.
    Also, the fact that the affiliate program link is still there bothers me every time I see it. I did eventually get my funds that were owed, I think by contacting them via linked in, but I've told them countless times that they need to remove the link, and yet... They definitely need help.

    Thank you for making this video. I was considering ordering from them but am hesitant. Their clothes are beautiful and I don’t mind waiting for a custom made item. I stopped shopping Torrid’s vintage styles last year when shipping was taking 3 weeks and customer service never replied to my inquiries causing me to miss their 30 day exchange window by a day. It’s truly disappointing that people who create stylish fashion for my size don’t appear to be concerned about their customers. It’s great to hear from others that are experiencing the same thing. Hopefully those businesses are reading this blog and these comments and will make an effort to change.

    I am also a long time customer but my last two orders were customized completely wrong and took a long time to arrive, then the remakes took 6 weeks to get back to me as well.
    I love eshakti for their trousers as I am very tall but I am currently in a wait and see mode as their customer. I really hope they can get whatever issues they are having rectified as I have always enjoyed their clothing.

    Back in May, customer service did answer my call and I was told that there was a lot of fabric that was damaged so they were backlogged. Like you, I let them know that they needed to let me know what was going on because being ignored is much worse than knowing I'd have to wait due to damaged fabric. They apologized and I received my order pretty quickly after that. Like you, I've ordered since with no issues. I still love this company.

    This video is very helpful! The last 2 orders have taken about 4 weeks to get to me. The customer service has been hit and miss. There is a defect in my new dress and I could not get a hold of them. I am going to take it locally to repair and just spend the money. I will still order from them but do it 2 months in advance for anything important.

      Update… I placed a new order on the 5th and the order hasn’t progressed 8 business days later. I’m sticking to the 2 month rule as they are really slow now.

    It's super disappointing. The customer service has really gone down. I still love the clothes, but I noticed anything with embroidery on it definitely takes even longer to ship. I am definitely looking for other custom clothing makers. It's really hard to find though.

      Yes, I had noticed that embroidery does take a bit longer, but I kind of expected that I guess. If you find another custom clothing maker, please let me know.

    Yes same problem. I am tall 5’ 10” so I like the customization. Recently thier production time is VERY lengthy. I still order from them from time to time cuz they have some cute stuff. Don’t be in a hurry if you order from them.

    My last order from eshakti was January. It took a month for my 180$ order to arrive. Crooked seams, badly made, sad clothes arrived. I immediately returned them. I finally, after dozens of phone calls, emails, etc. Received my refund of 150$, with no apology or reason for me to ever order from them again.
    5 months to issue a return, less shipping, is awful. Buyer beware. Eshakti is over.

    So glad you made this video. It's been a while since I put an order in but I know the last one I ordered did take a lot longer than expected. Which was wierd after there recent deal with trying to say they could get your garment to you in 7 days... its like that put them going in the opposite direction. But I love so many of the dresses I've gotten from them and you are the one who introduced me to them. So I hope they can figure their business out because I would love to continue to send customers their way. Or at least I'll be warning them about delivery time issues when I do refer them.

    Thank you so much for sharing this information with us. I've ordered from them in the past, but it has been a while and I was JUST looking at some blouses. I'll definitely have to wait and see how things develop with their communication and keep in mind that there will be delays if I do decide to order. I'm sorry this has happened, it's definitely a bummer when a brand you enjoy falls off the wagon.

    I placed an order with them earlier this year and both dresses were just what I wanted, though I do remember it taking a little longer than I expected to get them (I'll admit I wasn't really keeping close track of the delivery date). I have a few items in my cart now, and once I make up my mind what I really want, I will still place an order since I can accept a six week wait - I just wish eShakti said that up front and that you didn't have to end up sort of managing their relationship with their customers by setting the right expectations!

    It’s crazy because just last year, I think, Torrid had the same issue. Orders were backing up because they were switching to a new system. I started to get annoyed because my orders were coming in multiple packages, arriving to me at different times and also take weeks to MONTHS in some cases to get to me. Just when I’d made up my mind that I was done buying from them, I got an email from the company apologizing and explaining the situation. So I stuck with it, probably four-ish months later it was back to normal. Also they had a message perms-pinned to the top of there website about the new system and delays in shipping till the problem was resolved. All of this, is what kept me from leaving Torrid forever and going elsewhere. My last order with eshakti took two months to get to me. One dress sat in the cutting phase for two weeks before it finally moved to sewing. I hope they get it sorted out soon because I’ve only ordered twice and I love their clothes.

    Thank you for making this video and trying to figure out what's been going on. They are still having these issues. I've been shopping with them for about 10 years and love the customization and quality. But my last two orders took three months to reach me! When I pressed them for information, someone eventually told me they had issues with the fabric and had to send it back and wait for better fabric. But for multiple items with different fabrics? I don't believe that. After finally receiving my two orders, I decided to place two more orders at the beginning of May. I placed the orders planning ahead for fall. I'm still waiting. Someone finally emailed me back today and gave me the same spiel about the fabric being damaged. They said it would take another 4-5 weeks, which would make the total wait time about three months. I would not order anything from them if you need it within three months. You think they would have things sorted out by now, but I guess not.

      I'm sorry to hear this. I've been hearing from many others that this "fabric issue" has been their excuse for quite some time now. I was really hoping they would have cleaned up their act by now, but clearly they are still at it.

      Who did you email?! I CANNOT get anyone to respond to me about the dress I ordered in January or earlier. I can’t remember at this point. I call and have to leave a message. No one calls me. It’s too late to go to my bank to get the money back. 😢

      ​@@TheGlambassador If you go to the eshakti subreddit, there's a post quoting an alleged former employee saying that the company owes their vendors and employees 5 million dollars and the CEO has been in hiding for over 10 months. Looks like eshakti is done for good unfortunately.

    Thank you for this video. I have been contemplating purchasing from eShakti. I had purchased clothing from them before and was very disappointed in the quality of material and construction. I was hoping things had changed. Hearing that this company has no problem taking your money but doesn't feel the need to make sure your purchase arrives when promised or communicate to you in any fashion makes purchasing from this company a hard no. That YOU have had these experiences and are a very loyal customer makes it an even harder no. The concept of affordable bespoke clothes is tempting but not if I'm going to be treated this way.

    I stopped ordering , the thing that bummed me out the most was the loss of the true fabric customization, I had my favorite few dresses that fit me best and fit my vintage style, and could pick the fabric I like, I would order 30 -50 dresses a year, I have also noticed the lack of great cotton prints, living in Florida, I need cotton lol. I have really missed the Eshakti of years past

    Thank you so much for this video. I have experienced the same issue and they were super nice when they finally responded and I received my items 2 months later(lol!). I have gotten another dress at no cost when the one I ordered was no longer available. I don't believe they are a scam at all. I have a lot of their dresses, their dresses has helped me as a plus size woman wanting to look beautiful and decent. I am pausing on shopping/ordering from them until this is worked out(I am hoping it gets resolved) I would hate for them to go under as well.

    I lucked out: recent custom order to Canada in less than 2 weeks. good quality. A previous order from last year was really messed up; had a remake for a mistake they made but then took forever to get to me. Too bad this is happening. I don't plan to get anything else for awhile (not needed).

    June 2024 order here, ETA was July 9. July 18 zero progress. I have been ordering for 5 years, planned big order months and months, had no idea because the website runs as usual. I don't want to cancel because there is no alternative to eshakti right now. Zero response on the phone or email, not even generic email. 😢😢😢😢 Heartbreaking 😢😢 If I would have known I would have ordered ALL I want back in 2022, stashing for years to come.

    The issue continues and the timeline has gotten worse. An acquaintance of mine ordered in December 2023 and received her order this month (May 2024). Quality was great though. I ordered in February 2024, still waiting.

    This was a bummer video. I discovered your channel not all that long ago and binged the eshakti videos then placed an order last month. I'm patient so I will just assume I won't get it til July but unless communication improves I will not order again. I also had to pay customization fees even though I'm within my first 3 orders and they never responded to my email about that. 😢

      Oh I didn’t realize that was what they offered. Did you have to add a code to get the customization fees removed. I’d not heard of that before. I’m sorry they didn’t remove the charges. I hope your items arrive soon for you though and that you like them.

      @@TheGlambassador it's right at the top of their website that you get the fit guarantee and free customization on your first 3 orders. I'll probnaly email again bc this order had 5 dresses.

    It's so sad to see what's happened with eShakti! I have masses of outfits from them but in the past year it's been a disaster. When I do get a response (if any) it takes weeks and is always a canned answer that they have issues with fabric and to give them time. Well it's 7 months since I placed my last order of 3 dresses. I have had the fabric excuse 3 times. They then cancelled the order 3 months ago without any communication and I still haven't had a refund. What's more I paid via Paypal and have made a resolution request which still hasn't been addressed. It's heartbreaking to see the company go this way. My advice - don't order from them.

    I had a similar situation as you encountered, no package after the expected arrival or tracking provided. I emailed without success but somehow got through to someone on the phone. They told me that near the end of 2022 they received their fabrics which were either damaged or somehow unusable which resulted in the delay.
    I did eventually receive my shipment and all was as nice as ever.
    I haven't purchased anything recently not because of the earlier shipping issues but because I see fewer dresses that appeal to me recently.

    Just made my first order with the company. I hadn’t sought out any reviews before I did so, just went off of a relative’s recommendation. Even so the order was only for one dress.
    Seems like there are very few companies or people who have suffered since the pandemic. If their work force is in India, I can imagine the stress they’re under. So many people died with Covid and I’m sure the country has taken a hit in the moral department. I think most counties have.
    It’s disappointing to have a great shop go down hill.

    I'm an eshakti addict and make frequent orders, but I've noticed increased production time. It's okay with me, but they ought to do away with the estimated production time of they can't meet it. The thing that annoys me, though, is the return process. Evert single item I've returned was not refunded unless I emailed them inquiring where the refund was. Even two months after returning something, they still never processed my return unless I email them first. I'm not sure star the deal with that is, whether they're just really slow or they don't refund unless you prompt them?

    This is STILL going on. I found this video while trying to figure out if there were problems with the company because it's been 3 months since i placed my order. I didn't even order a custom dress... They replied to one email a month ago saying they are having production issues, but no other updates. This whole thing is crazy.

    I am kicking myself for not putting more research in this company. In early March I made an order for two dresses. 1 for an event in April and one as an office dress. 7 emails, 4 web site “help” messages 3 phone calls that lead to a voice mail box and 2.5 months later I don’t have my dresses. I got the canned response saying there was “quality control” with the fabrics. Which doesn’t make sense because why would you host a dress available to make an order if you don’t have fabric in stalk to make the dress? I know the pandemic threw all companies into a loop for productions, but this is just dishonest marketing. Why have so many dresses available, when you don’t have the fabric for it?
    There are no disclaimers on their website stating that there orders are still being hindered by the pandemic. I am wondering if this company changed owners who are running it into the ground.a shame.

    My order was 3 weeks late. I returned the item 2 months ago and still have not received my refund. It's been the worst experience I've had with online shopping.

    They literally stole 150.00 from me. Not returning calls, never sent merchandise, promised refund in an email....this started in February 2024, have not received my money yet it's June 7th

    Thanks for putting out this video. I have a wedding to go to in December and was (am?) planning to get a dress from them. Being short and plus sized makes it a challenge to find something that fits let alone something that I actually like. If I do order from them, I am going to do it sooner rather than later, but I think that I will have a plan B. Again, thanks for all the info.

      I think you have plenty of time. I was actually just about to post an update in the comments. So I think you should be ok if you order soon just to make sure that its fits perfectly for you and you have time to find something else just in case.

    FWIW I've ordered 4 dresses from the company in the past few months (split over 3 orders) and have not experienced problems. I seem to remember they arrived a bit later than expected but not late enough to worry me. I did not contact the company during that time.

    I ordered from them in late November. I'd been a long time if infrequent customer and I loved them. I honestly have no issue waiting six weeks or more for custom clothing if told up front about it. It's 5 weeks passed my expected delivery date now. It sounds like the only thing that's changed since your experience is the canned answer. Now the excuse is poor fabric quality. I've made many attempts to try to salvage the experience. I've called a number of times, never getting through to anyone but voicemail. Left messages, emailed. received no response besides the original, one time canned answer. It's incredibly disappointing. I've got weird proportions that make custom dresses the best option for me and eshakti once could not be beat for customization and options. I'm sad to see that go. I almost wish mine was a unique experience because then I could at least hope for better in the future but I've come across nothing but bad recent reviews. It's a shame.

    I know this video is from 5 months ago, but I'm currently dealing with my own eShakti nightmare 🤦🏻‍♀️. I think from now on I'll stick with making my own clothes, unfortunately because i used to love them!

    Ugh. I’m in the same boat as those who commented. I placed orders for dresses to wear events (with plenty of time) in Dec and then Feb and didn’t revive them. 😠 One is still outstanding. I CANNOT get anyone to respond to me. It’s been 6-7 months so I can’t get the money back via a charge back. Plus, I have $60 ish credit from a dress I returned. 😖 I’m at a loss and angry. I’ve ordered from them for 6 years or so.

    Ordered 2 dresses on November 10th. I had to call a month after I ordered them because Eshakti had done absolutely nothing to even start making them. After I called (the lady on the line marked them as "urgent"), one of them went through the process and is now in the "packing and shipping" stage. I've called twice this week about the other one-which they still haven't even started making (both times I was not able to get through to an assistant), and nothing has been done (despite me leaving messages). It's been 6 weeks since I ordered these dresses, yet nothing has showed up. Very frustrated with them. Absolutely crap service. Will probably be 2.5 months between ordering and receiving that second dress...if they ever pick up the phone.

    I placed an order in Feb which was supposed to be delivered March 5. Tried to call twice but only voicemail which wasn’t returned, and 2 emails with no response. Currently I am filing a complaint with PayPal.

    I never ordered from then since i couldn't figure out if they used sweatshop labor or not. Now I'm really not going to.

      They absolutely do not use sweatshop labor. They imply only women and pay them quite well. There have been news articles written about them and how well they treat their workers, so at least in that there's nothing to worry about.

    I’ve noticed the fit isn’t as great as it used to be and some of the quality has not been the same. Not for every piece, just some.
    I’m still waiting for a dress I ordered 8 weeks ago.
    I’m hoping they’re just going through a rough patch and can return to their regular business practices!🤞

      I’ve heard of some fit issues with a few people, I myself haven’t had issues with that, but it’s so frustrating to get an item that doesn’t fit and then have to wait so long to get it fixed. So sorry.

    Has anyone heard anything lately? I have been buying from them for years but recently cancelled an order that was 2 months late and not progressing on the production line. I now have 1 that is about 6 weeks late and wondering if I need to cancel it.

      From what I'm hearing from others, they are still up to their shenanigans. I thought they were working things out last year and had gotten a little better on their timelines, but I keep hearing stories and it's just not good. I'm sorry.

    Eshakti placed first order and it took a long time like 6 weeks to arrive. I ordered 3 items and 1 was missing. Contacted eshakti and am requesting refund for missing item. I am disappointed because I waited so long and then my favorite item was missing. Not sure if I’ll reorder again. The quality of my 2 dresses was very good. Customized sizing was perfect. True to picture. And response seems to be slow from company. On a scale of 1 to 10 - delivery is a 2 but the quality of item received a 10- but missing item and communication a 2.😢

    Its a year after this post and I am seeing the same things PLUS there is no ability to check out of over a week. have been trying to place an order and I keep getting a message saying they are having technical issues. I am thinking they have to be closing. No one is answering calls, emails, social media and its a year after this post. I would love to know if anyone has an update.

      If you go to the eshakti subreddit, there's a post quoting an alleged former employee saying that the company owes their vendors and employees 5 million dollars and the CEO has been in hiding for over 10 months. Looks like eshakti is done for good unfortunately.

    I have to say that I have great difficulties getting my order that I had to involve my payment company in it. My goods were supposed to be delivered between 20th April and 5th May 2023, yes I get them customise, but there were no embroidery on them, when I had not heard from they by 10th May, I contacted customer services end of a long store got an email today from my payment company telling me that they will refund me my payment. I am not happy I wanted the goods not the money. Really disappointed as I think their made to Measure goods were outstanding and very reasonable? By the way I am in the UK and they ship here, although ever think is in USD all contacts are from India.

      Interesting, is there a specific UK site that you use? Because their shipping policies say this:
      Where we deliver
      We ship only to physical shipping addresses within the contiguous United States. We don’t ship to P.O. boxes, APO / FPO addresses

    So do you think allowing for 3 weeks for production and delivery is enough nowadays? Or should I budget for 4 or 5 weeks? I’m thinking of ordering a dress for an event.

      If you read the pinned comment, I just ordered from them again recently and I got my order in just just over 3 weeks time. But just to be safe I’d order ASAP and then possibly have a back up in case things go awry.

    I was just about to order a dress for my niece’s wedding mid July. Do I Dare?! Also, I live in Canada, do they no longer ship to Canada?

      With the wedding being mid-July I don't know if I'd take my chances unless I had a backup dress. Their website says they only ship within the US, but I've heard from other Canadiens that they'd ordered and received. So honestly, I don't know.

      @@jamiemccallum6493 maybe just try a dress that you love that isn’t for the wedding, that way you can try it out and see how you like it, without the pressure. Either way, I hope you have a wonderful time at the wedding. I’m sure you’ll love lovely in whatever you choose.
