- I finally got to Build a PC in the Corsair 5000D with a AMD Ryzen 9 5900x + RTX 3080TI
So this weeks build was amazing, Ray drove all the way from London to allow me to build this monster of a gaming pc.
The Corsair 5000d airflow case was truly amazing to build in and it really complimented the ryzen 9 5900x & rtx 3080ti really well, it has 7tb of ultra fast nvme & ssd storage and some ultra low latency gskill ram being beautifully cooled by the nzxt z73. Not forgetting the 13 sl120 lian li fans also installed. The Aorus master motherboard holds the build together really well and the lian li strimmer cables make it pop with rgb.

Got the 5000x rather than d airflow. U
1st thing I did was remove the shroud...that was a bit of a pain, but started build after that...used 9 ql120 fans with a commander pro. Couldn't have push pull on top aio as glass on top and didn't put rear fan as 6 intake, 3 exhaust on aio on top, plenty of positive pressure so could feel the air being pushed out the back anyway. Put the aio pump hoses at the back of the case rather than front so they didn't obstruct the view of fans and ram sticks...looks great and temps good..any way of putting the 2 triple fans around aio on a splitter so being controlled in 1 slots, so rear fan can use slot 4 of controller(ie front 3 slot 1, side 3 slot 2, aio push pull on splitter slot 3 and rear slot 4...if I'm making sense)....sl fans do look good. One of the best parts is you can detach the cable cabinet door so you have more room for playing with the cables ect, such a great case, great video also

Great video, Nice build! I got my 5000D delivered yesterday so moved everything over. Going with 10 Fans at mo (none on top side of case above AIO), so im ok with RGB for all using 2 Corsair hubs. Shame your video wasn't out sooner, I also ended up finding Provoked Ps video to help get the inside cover out!

Amazing video, ordered my 5000d airflow yesterday but with another mobo, cpu and ram. Going to be a pleasure building in this case and this video helped me out a lot since this will be my first self-built pc :)

A little question, I wont be buying any extra fans right now, maybe in a month or teo, but I bought a 360mm aio cooler for my 12700k so there shouldn’t be any heat issues?
A 360mm aio will cool your 12700k just fine mate 👍 u need to ensure you have sufficient airflow from your intake fans tho mate to allow it to work correctly and effectively

Lian li has argb cable kit. There’s a splitter for rgb and a pwm splitter that would allow you to have all the uni fans plugged into one hub

Why did u put 6 fins on the radiator? Wasn’t enough 3 fans?
The customer decided he wanted push pull on the rad to keep temps as low as possible But 3 would have been fine 🙂

Thanks for the video. Could you just do a pull fan config with the top mounted radiator in this case?
The majority of builds with this case on UA-cam seem to do a push config. Is that because it's more efficient than a pull config or because people like to see the RGB beneath the radiator?
Hi mate yeah u could but push Is better as more airflow and also allows u to see the rgb also. Thanks 4 the question

Does the non airflow version have good airflow still?
I find that in both the airflow and non airflow versions there are no problem at all plus the X version looks better in my opinion- good luck on the build its a great case 👍

@@TechCheckUK Non airflow, because it looks more sleek, and does the icue 5000x case glass front panel fit on the 5000d if it does ill buy the glass front panel from corshair and ill put it on my 5000d.
did you have any issues with the clearance between the 24 pin GPU connector and the tempered glass?

Hi mate - you can't do 2 x 3080ti, 1- no sli connectors on 3080ti 2- not enough room as most 3080ti cards are 2.4 slot cards. Hope that helps. Thanks 4 watching I appreciate your support 🙏

Can the front plate from a regular 5000D be put on the 5000D airflow and vice versa? Thanks.
Yea it can e changed the only issue is you would have to have both cases as in EU I don't believe u can order those parts individually like you can is the USA mate from the parts store.

Would you rather this case over the Lian li o11 dynamic ?
Two very different cases mate - lian li is wider statement peice but the 5000 is taller both take a ton of fans tho - personally I prefer the o11
Why did u remove the hdd cage
Hi mate - no use for the hdd cage as not 3.5inch drives and allowed lots more room for cable extensions. Regards and thanks for watching 👀

Yeah u can just slide the drive to the other side giving you additional room mate - just undo thumbscrews and reposition
the psu 850w is enough, no need to have a 1000w with that config.. i have the same ^^
Who said u needed 1000w? I have a 3090 and 5950x on a 850wt. Its a customers build and they wanted a 1000wt as he felt that offered the best solution for him. Regards
Future NVIDIA GPUs are going to require higher watt draws. 1000W is going to last quite a while.

@@tomygun196 yeap but who needs the future nvidia graphics ? There is no studio who used 3080 + card and they cant follow the upgrade every 6 months.. if you upgrade every year you are just a ship who believe in agressive marketing
