Custom Vs Pre-built Gaming Pc - Gamertech.org
Todays video is all about Gamertech.org based here in the UK - They sent me a pre-built system and a build kit to test out the experience and compare and contrast between building it yourself or them building it for you!
After lots of conversations and the two systems being delivered. I can tell you I was really satisfied with the performance, aesthetics and the delivery service.
Gamertech.org offer everything from a bespoke build service and consultation to simply a online seller of pc parts and accessories.
The site allows you to customise your own build and they have a huge range of selection starting from £300 - £10,000 dependent on need and budget - I love they are based in UK and easily contactable and the three years warranty is great!!
Website - gamertech.org
Are you building, upgrading or looking to get into PC gaming then reach out and see what they can for you.. UK ONLY at the minute but they are working on international orders - coming soon.
Benefits of Pre-built system:
1: Once delivered all you need to do is power it on.
2: You may not have the experience to build it yourself.
3: You may not have the time and want someone to do it for you.
4. You may like gaming but NOT interested in building your own system.
5: All in warranty.
6: Windows / Drivers and all software needed is installed.
Cons of Pre-built system:
1: You dont always have a huge selection of parts to choose.
2: You have to pay their price - Instead you can normally shop around for individual parts at lower prices.
3: A lot of the parts are OEM and cheaper quality
4: Tend to Pay more due to convenience.
5: you miss out on the learning experience.

Hmmm i might have to try these coz i wear earbuds all day and I hate how much wax it creates in my ears. Doesnt have to be the BEST sound but concerned about battery and how much people can hear them near to you
Is this board good for Ryzen 7 5800x
Thank you Gareth, I think you were very fair! Just to clarify for those watching - no money changed hands and the PCs I sent to Gareth have been returned - so all the thought's and opinions in this video are definitely his own! I didn't even see the video until it was up on youtube. That being said, I'm absolutely thrilled that you found our business and products to be so positive! As a fairly new business, it's really a big deal for us to receive such positive feedback. Thanks again! Tarl
Thanks Tarl really appreciate the opportunity 🙏 👍
how do i get thermal paste
Order it from amazon mate 👍
will this run fortnite or cod on 180 fps with a rx600 Or do i something different then rx600
No mate this is a budget build aimed at 1080p gaming - this will get around 100fps at 1080p dependent on on game settings.
❤ your videos man keep up the great work.
Thank you 😊 🙏
110 pounds isn't unreasonable but I'd rather have a go myself
Me too mate I think the satisfaction you get and the experience you gain is worth the time required 😉- thanks for watching 👍
Definitely agree! That's why we have our build kits, you can buy all the components in a single transaction and it should be no more expensive than doing that from Amazon or other retailer 😀
Hi im wondering if this motherboard supports windows 11 pro 64bit and will go well with a rx 6600 and a ryzen 5 5600?
Perfect part choice mate and will work great 👍
My favorite case
One of mine too 👍
Do you build pcs for people?
Yeah around 80% of the builds are for people watching or people who have reached out to me mate 👍 appreciate you watching 👀
Nice video!! Do you still recommend them after this years? I am thinking of buying them for 150€ the 15 panels or 120 the 9 panels.
Mate I love them even 3 years later - still working perfect without issue - they are expensive tho which makes me sad as I would like 3 times as many.
A big thanks to Tarl over at Gamertech.org for sending these systems out! Anyone in UK looking to buy a new system or upgrade? DEAL ALERT both of these PC's have just been discounted to £1,359 Link - gamertech.org/shop/tech-check-gaming-pc
Is this build any good for 1440p? Thanks
Will it play 1440p absolutely but it will need to reduce in game settings for best results mate. For really optimised games it will be fine but things like cyberpunk/ Alan wake 2 and games that require lots of vram it would be beat at 1080p
Are all the fans 120mm or 140mm
120mm mate in this build 👌
I love this case but I hate it because No RGB
Buy the RGb version mate 👍
Hi! I recently bought this case along with the Corsair H150i Elite LCD AIO cooler, paired with an Intel i9 13900. I primarily use it for running machine learning models. Do you think I’ll need additional fans? I don’t have a GPU installed. Thanks for the video! You’ve got a new subscriber :D
The case has plenty of ventilation tbh mate and the cooler set as exhaust at top should be fine - as no gpu installed. Thank you for the support 🙏
Hi, when you re installed the OS did you have any issue with the light system not working or not being seen by the machine at all? I recently got hold of one of these machines but for some reason the control centre did not play ball. Perhaps it could be to do with using windows 11 and that isn't supported ? but any information would be handy! Thanks
Hi mate once I did the fresh install I had no issues with the lighting- I did have to activate in the software though as it was turned off! Personally there is very little support for these older systems but it was rather nostalgic to have one again
how much does everything cost in total?
It was £2,500 ish just depends when you buy
can we just use a single cable connecting all the fans(lets say 10 fans) and just daisy-chain and then to the controller? plus on the h150i hub, is the usb connector necessary as if we already connect to the motherboard usb from the controller?
Hi mate max fans you should really daisy chain is 7 on one channel going to the input on the icue hub if not there will be an error warning. Yes you will need to connect hub via USB to motherboard. I hope I understood you
@ understood, so basically both the h150i hub and also controller to the mobo? To be clear im am planning to upgrade my lian li pc011 dynamic with 6xQX120s (bottom and side) and also H150i on top
@nazimiskandarshamaruddin1713 yes mate that's correct 👍 you will love them
Thanks for this video sir! I think this will be a good MB for the Lian Li A3 case.
Yeah it's a matx case so will work great 👍
what are the components in this build?
7800x3d 4070ti super Montech King 95 pro case 2.5tb nvme storage 850wt atx 3.0 psu 32gb 6000mhz c30 ram
Could it work with a rx 7700 xt?
Absolutely mate 👍
Im using this with a 7800xt asrock gpu and a 5700x is this okay?
Nice build choices 👌
@@TechCheckUK does it work stable if i game on this for hours @ 1440p resolution? im a noob in the computer world. sorry
@dewthegreat9270 it would be perfectly fine I've used 20 plus times and no issues mate
36:33 MY HEART.
Yeah he was the same 😃 appreciate you watching as these are my favourite types of builds.
hi mate, i have this cooler but i cant get the lcd display to turn on. new build. the fans turn on and it goes into bios fine, but then temps start to rise so doesnt seem to be cooling. any ideas what I've done wrong?
Have you connected the 2 pin cable from icue box to the cpu header on mobo? And have you connected the usbc from radiator to usb2 header on mobo? I hope you get it fixed mate 👍
@@TechCheckUK I fixed it about 5 mins after posting my comment haha. I was missing one of the cables that plug into the USB header on the motherboard. Working great now. Would've been lost without your vid so thanks.
@@wickkk no worries mate glad u sorted it
Hey what config do the fans come in? Push or pull?
@@chickenwith-nunchucks push mate
@ thank u
No worries 👍
Got my pre-built PC with i9-14900KF and 4090 a few days ago, and it has this Corsair iCUE LINK H150i RGB White. I gotta say I'm so in love with it all <3333. It looks heavenly <3. Also, I gotta get the LCD thingy...becuz mine is only the plastic one 😂
Congrats mate 👏 nothing like a new pc thanks 4 watching 👀 👍
❤️❤️❤️
Cheers 🍻
Nice review. I recommend considering the E7 Pro over the E7 if you are going with a 60cm deep worktop. The E7 frame has legs in the middle, that means the central bar will be less than 30cm from the edge. I’m 178cm tall and my knees end up below this chunky bar, close enough to touch it now and then. The E7 Pro, on the other hand, doesn’t run the bar at the center. I haven’t yet checked if the problem goes away but it should help to fix it. Obviously a deeper worktop would help. Having little space I had to get the 120cm wide, which is only available as 60cm deep.
Appreciate it thanks and great sharing your thoughts 🙏 👍
Thanks for your help. Thumbs up ! I just put a fat stack of cash down on a very similar build. Same msi psu, H9Flow case, cooler, and 4080super. But with a 14700kf. And i went with an all black stealthly ninja build for my room. All White is beautiful.. but cost a little more, and all of that eye candy would make my roommates start asking about it when my door is open.. especially if I had your circus flashing lights going on LOL😂 I have a pad lock on my door still though. 😮 I really do appreciate your candid yet professional step by step approach. Thanks 🎉
Thanks mate - nice build and good luck on your build 👍 thanks ls 4 watching 👀 👍
just gotta say, ive watched this video 10 or so times in the past month while all my parts came for a 9800x3d, h9 flow, icue link build, and just completed it yesterday! thank you for the guide o7
@BobThePineapple glad it helped mate and thanks 4 watching I appreciate it 👍 ps nice CPU!!
I got one of these for £20 from an office which was shutting down. Mine seems to be 28" screen from corner to corner. It does the job.
Nice and glad your happy with it and for £20 it's a bargain on the year 😀
How long do Aio coolers last for and are they prone to leaking? I'm stuck in the middle and can't decide on aio or be a fan boy as fans are more likely to last longer and easier to replace if they go wrong..
I've had some AIO last 5 years with no issues and I've had tower coolers last around the same I tend to upgrade after 3 years as sockets and cpu upgrades etc
Does the steel does the steel management tray come as standard or do you have to purchase it separately please ?
It was included as part of the purchase when I did the order - maybe different as it was promotion they were running - personally I'd wait till black Friday see what offers they have
@@TechCheckUKok thanks
@carlotai4635 no worries 👍
I Just bought this im living in the netherlands do i get 2 amp powerbank ?
Ive Only used the power brick supplied with the ARGB strip mate sorry
getting this, a 4070super slim, and a ryzen 7 7800 x3d !
Nice build mate 👌
I have a question @TechCheckUK, does all the pieces and the big iron thing to stick on the ryzen goes with the cooler?
Yes mate that's the cpu cooler and all comes as one 👍
Not that i needed to watch this but thanks anyway.
well i appreciate it
13:41 Wait, don't you have to use thermal paste? Or is it not needed on the CORSAIR iCUE H150i?
It already has thermal paste pre applied mate - I normally like to clean and add my own buy this looked ok 👍
Hi great video. I am looking forward to use this cooler for my pc. But do i have to plug in the 3 pin rgb cables or does it work without too? I use a B450 Tomahawk max and there are no no 5V 3 pin rgb slots, only 12V 4 pin slots Thanks
You can either not connect and they should just be rainbow default or you can buy a 5v argb hub with a controller
Hi could i use the case you used on the £600 build for this build your doing here also how do you install the tp link? Great video btw
Yeah absolutely mate no issues at all with other case. TP link just slots into an available pcie slot below graphics card
@TechCheckUK cheers buddy I'm.not technical at all I'm trying to build my son a good pc for Christmas rather than get ripped off on eBay etc bit I'm failing terribly 🤣
@VeiledBookie easiest way just obtain a motherboard with built in WiFi- I would ensure I got a b550 though as the wifi would be wifi5e or wifi6 that way and then you don't need an additional wifi card
@@TechCheckUK thank you I've ordered most of the parts I'm struggling woth the gpu I've found one on Ebay it's a msi geforce gtx 1650 venture xs 4gb will that work.with this build alongside the ryzen 5500 sorry for all the questions mate I really am
@@VeiledBookie no probs 1650 will work fine - ut very old now I would go for a rtx3060 or rx6600 or worst case gtx1060 6gb
Would you pick these up? Thanks to Lytmi for sending out!
No. I have a pair of galaxy buds and a pair of creative labs buds both are miles above the Lytmi buds but i do get that they cost more. They do the same things but better volume and the are both in ear so no over ear battery also better sound. They do look ok if your looking for budget buds.
I agree and this is what I also said in the review - appreciate you watching 👀
It is a pity that the case doesn't come with white connection in it.
Yeah that's one thing that annoys me - the 6500x does this and looks really nice 👌 I appreciate you watching and taking time to comment 😀
my h150i fans are not turning on but the AIO is, what should i do?
Have you got too many connected to the same input on the hub? Have you connected icue box with pcie power? Also ensure you have downloaded tge latest icue drivers mate 👍
I know nothing about computers how could i make that build into a gaming computer for fortnite
This would be perfect for fortnite exactly as it I'd at 1080p
Hi, much thanks for the video! I’m planning to build a pc with r5 5600 and rtx 4060, would you recommend this board? Are the temperatures good in comparison with other boards (like gigabyte, asrock)?
100% recommended its a great board - temps are great without issue as I have used in 20+ builds especially with 5600x
@ Thank you!
@erasik01 no problem mate 👌
hows your life going so far? enjoying every bit of it?
Really good can't complain thanks 4 asking
@@TechCheckUK i thought you had atleast 1 million subs lol. Keep grinding. I had a really important question. Do you still have the same feelings enthusiasm for pcs? Like you built alot of systems, does it get boring and not worthit? like theres nothing new you can do.
@behzadqazzafi3412 I wish lol - built 100s of pcs and I love it as I do it to help people and the local community - essentially it's the same thing over and over but with tech always changing and new parts and styles and budgets there is always something that keeps it fresh.
Finally got round to watching your new video, loved it! Your selection of components is spot on and I really like how instructional and educational you are! Thumbs up!
