I am an Alcorn SOD Alumni and I will say this....Garrett does a good job showcasing both bands unlike some other SWAC school I know that I will not mention. He is a Jag so if he is closer to them it might be for a reason, but this brother showcases all bands and I applaud him for that. Great job man!

Yes sir. the best video i saw of this battle was from the stands on Alcorn's side right there in the thick of it and trust me when i say, The Power coming from SU was unreal. What made it more intense was they were across the field but sounded just like this, like they were right in front of your face. And the cherry on top of it all was actually hearing the Alcorn fans talking and gashing.. All of the "Good Gods" and Omg's made it all the better. This is probably why i personally consider 2014 to be what i call SU's Allstar year. They didn't sound like they had not 1 crab in the band. and it was crazy seeing how smaller they were that year, Especially compared to JSU and hearing the equivalent power coming from them.

I love this video, but you have to see "Jay B" zero quarter and 5th quarter of this game to hear the comments of the Alcorn folks. Gotta give a shout out to real band heads that tell the truth, Alcorn has a strong band but those folks will acknowledge that SU is on another level.

SU tubas are the most improved section over the last few years. Since they got the gold infused instruments, they sound so much better and have gotten much cleaner! Huge difference than from say '06. Alcorn's definitely improved a ton as well. They sound really good compared to recent years. I'm really excited about the Boombox though!

They both sound good. SU is a beast. But the camera is always closer to them. Ik this page is for SU but it for be more fair for people watching the video if the camera was at equal lengths from both bands.

Alcorn Alumni here, Alcorn has come a long way through, man I have to say at 4:52 Southern was very strong the transitioning was crazy, also check out those cymbals in sync nearly perfect.

dude, there is no Doubt Alcorn sound good.. Great even, But it is evident by seeing them compared to Southern as far as sound and quality, Southern is on a whole other level. You almost can't even compare the 2. From Power, quality Song arrangements. Southern is more of an Elite Aristocratic Band whereas Alcorn is more of a Blue collar band Just being honest, and i went to neither schools btw.
I agree with u bud, Alcorn definitely not playing this season but the Human Jukebox handling up on the business as usual.

SU all day on this one the tuba for southern go hard I played for Randolph J Johnson at DSU in the mid 90's we were close to this full sound every southern band director arranges like Doc that key of F ain't know joke but you gotta be blowing for it sound right and the S is the best hands down
