Love this video. So you need the $5 store subscription to be able to send physical coupons in your packages? I love that idea but how do you make it and set it up?
Thanks for watching! Yea, you’ll need a store subscription to be able to make a coupon code for them to use, and then you put a physical paper in the package with that code on it :)
You could also just add a self made random piece of paper coupon and tell people when they should write you and show this coupon (with an specific unique identifier), then they get a discount. More work but works without shop.

I have a premium store subscription that cost 59.99 per month. I get $12.50 worth of free shipping supplies per month($50/quarter). The best benefit is the discounted fees. I save enough to pay for the store subscription. I always have a coupon running so I get that red word SAVE next to my listing. I "feel" I sell alot and get sales where others do not when we have identical items.

Thanks! The local, mom and pop thrift stores may be good. We’ve looked at some and they just don’t have the turnover and the amount we want. Plus some of them are more crazy with pricing that Goodwill! Lol
Great video and tips. How does your flat rate shipping work as far as prices and weights. I have been thinking of switching over but not sure what to charge for shipping. I sell a variety of clothing and shoes so weights would be different. Do you know if there is a video on flat rate shipping? Thanks!
We tested out different weights and package sizes. We found that anything between 1-2 pounds in a 10x10x2 or smaller cost the same. Because we sell a lot of the same stuff, they generally all weigh the same and are the same size. Anything that’s smaller or bigger than the average weight will manually type in. :)

How do you know how much to list your jeans for? I know you can look at the sold section and base your price off that but I was wondering if you do anything else because the sold comp is all over the place. I’ve been buying more jeans lately just from watching your videos and I’m having a hard time selling them but maybe I’ve got them listed too high.
I will sort from high to low for the sold comps and pick a middle ground price point. Hope this helps!

Do you send store coupons to followers and past customers? We do and have not had much success with that. We also send coupons out with each package. We do have great luck with our 10% off coupon - which is posted for all to see.
Yea I send coupons to anyone and everyone. I was reminded by Technsports the other day that even if they don’t use that specific code, they could have still visited your store and placed an offer on an item. ebay won’t record that sale as one that came from a coupon code. So it may seem like it’s not working, but it really doesn’t hurt to send them out because you never know!
Do you mean offering USPS flat rate options for shipping? Or something else? Is that what eBay is wanting sellers to do?
I mean flat rate shipping vs calculated shipping :) I should specify that next time!
What is the difference between a markdown and a coupon? Is the coupon for all items and the promo markdown for items you choose? Haven’t figured out why i would want to do either yet
Markdown sales discount items and coupons can being applied to all your items or specific items if you’d like. These are tools to help sell items faster unless you’re selling just bangers. If your store is full of bangers, then they’ll sell themselves quick enough :)

How much time do you spend loading 50 listings?
I list 30/day and if I have no distractions, I can get them listed in an hour or less 👍

That’s a good idea! They’ll need to be made on Canva or any other design program but I can make a video going into detail with it!

You’ll find promotions under the marketing tab. From there, you’ll see a coupon option under “create promotion”. I’d be happy to make a video about it too! Just wanted to give you that information sooner than later

That’s great you’re aware and being intentional! I try to push people to go for gold with $20+ profit, but I even average out to $15 profit. Just make sure the sell thru is there too 👍

It appears eBay has now made it so buyers can leave negatives even on returned items. They can upload any photos they want too. This is causing trouble for us with scammers abusing it.
Interesting, I’ll have to read up on that! Adding photos to reviews has been circling around for a bit, but I’m just now starting to see the photos be posted. I think they’re still experimenting with it. I don’t know how they’ll moderate the photos 🤔
