I started Intermittent fasting on September 1 2023...Starting with 12:12 for 2 weeks..then continued 14:10 till now ..( december 11 2023 ) Day 1 : 93.95 kg Now after 3 months : 88.95 ...Lost 5 kg only with a IF ...no walk , no diet , Only cutted down coffee/tea/milk Going to include 10k daily and avoid junk foods , will update after 2 months 😊 Next update on : 26.2.2024 Today ( 28.2.24) checked my weight , it is 86.50 ...Lost 2.45 kg only in 2 months , bcoz followed only IF , walked 5k steps thrice a week , eating junk foods ( can't able to avoid completely ) ...This time have to follow seriously 😒 Totally lost 7.45 kg in 6 months 💪 Next update will be April 1st ( Target is 84 kg )

எல்லாவிதமான சாப்பாடு ம் சாப்பிடலாம் 6 மணிக்கு பிறகு வேண்டாம் அடுத்த நாள் காலை 8 மணி முதல் உணவு சாப்பிட ஆரம்பிக்கலாம். முதலில் ரொம்ப கஷ்டம் பிறகு பழகி விடும். ஆனால் உடனே உடல் எடை குறையாது 2 மாதம் கழித்து பாருங்கள் கண்டிப்பாக பலன் கிடைக்கும். ஞாயிறு கிழமை மட்டும் நான் எனக்கு பிடித்த உணவாக இருந்தால் இரவு 8 மணிக்கு சாப்பிடுவேன்.

My last meal everyday is 6.00 pm and first meal is at 10.00 am ,starting with a tea, 12.00 noon lunch and finishing my dinner at 6.00 pm. I feel very light ,started loosing weight. @@shantinatarajan114 just do 16:8 intermittent fasting. Avoid oily foods and sugar. Try to be in calorie deficit. Without any exercise you will start to loose 500gms a week and easily you can loose 2kgs in a month.

I started following your channel by around 2nd week of May 2022 and apparently started with 12 hours of fasting ever since and I was ~83/84 kg's back then. And with practice, now I am almost doing 18 to 19 hours of fasting per day and my present empty stomach ( unladen ) weight in the morning(today) was 77.0 kg's. And Except for twice or thrice, I didn't even go for walking in this last 2 months :) This really works Magical. Now I am telling everyone that I know to try this method as well. Thanks a lot Dr.Pal :) PS: The only flip-side of this whole process is that my Hip size reduced from 36+ to 34+ and Now I need to go for one more set of new dresses that fits my latest measurements. :D

@@daredevl6657 breakfast and lunch alone. I start my first bite around 8.30 AM and lunch by around 12. A final coffee by 3.30 at the max. So approximately 16 to 18 hours of fasting on a daily basis. I keep cheating every 2 or 3 days once. But even during those cheat meals, a minimum of 12 to 13 hours fasting is taken care of religiously. So The weight is just being maintained plus or minus 0.5 to 1 kg in this 72 to 73ish range. I keep 74 as the USL and 71ish as the LSL. And when it comes to the craving for food, That is exactly the reason why I keep cheating every two or three days once :)

Very informative sir. I am following intermittent fasting for past 5 months. I lost 12 kg. Now my BMI is normal. I have also cut down refined sugar, oil, maida by 90%. Low salt as well. Having only two meals a day aft 14 hr fast and aft 8 hrs. Nothing i have except water in between. No longer i have cravings or hunger pangs. Tummy have lost its sensitivity to feel overwhelmed with high calorie diet. I play 1 to 1.5 hours a day. I am 39 yrs old.
Doctor I started intermittent fasting by cutting off tea coffee from 4th April, eating time between 9am to 8 pm.. having light food at night show significant change in weight.. in 50 days my weight reduced 3.5 kgs..had overcome bloating problem, gas trouble, stress ..stomach circumference reduced by 3 inch. . I have already followed this and got a very good result . As he said initially it was very tough . I started directly with 8hours eating window .. so it was tough for me at the beginning. But later body adjusted in such a way that I can survive with 6 hours window. Please try and get good result .
Beautifully articulated doctor! I have lost 14 kgs over 2 years but i was still struggling to fit into a proper diet routine to maintain my weight in a healthy way. Thank you so much for this video. It is very helpful to make people understand that going very harsh on food habits is not a good way to lose weight especially while you are starting it. The first step would be to give your body the time to digest that there is going to be a pattern change! I have seen a lot of my friends suddenly going from 5 meals a day to 2 meals a day and struggle neither come back to the old routine nor continue with 2 meals a day for a long time. Wondering if yo-yo dieting and inconsistencies have made me insulin- resistant as the scale is not budging 🤔 Was following 8 to 9 hour window for long time ( 12 noon to 8 or 9 pm). After learning about circadian rhythm from your videos, trying to finish earlier, so recently started on 6 hour window 12 to 5 or 6 pm. Been good so far 🤞. Haven't been regular with logging my food, restatred again since this week. Let's see. Due to.the nature of my job and the place where I live (quite cold compared to the tropical Indian climate), I am not able to shift my window to an earlier start and finish. Evening-la pasi kolludhu. Also, struggling to fit TRF at social gatherings. Haven't been brave enough to venture into carrying tiffin box like you suggested - freinds get offended. And not eating while hosting parties is another headache as guests take offence with that too. @@shantinatarajan114 just do 16:8 intermittent fasting. Avoid oily foods and sugar. Try to be in calorie deficit. Without any exercise you will start to loose 500gms a week and easily you can loose 2kgs in a month.

I started following your channel by around 2nd week of May 2022 and apparently started with 12 hours of fasting ever since and I was ~83/84 kg's back then. And with practice, now I am almost doing 18 to 19 hours of fasting per day and my present empty stomach ( unladen ) weight in the morning(today) was 77.0 kg's. And Except for twice or thrice, I didn't even go for walking in this last 2 months :) This really works Magical. Now I am telling everyone that I know to try this method as well. Thanks a lot Dr.Pal :)
PS: The only flip-side of this whole process is that my Hip size reduced from 36+ to 34+ and Now I need to go for one more set of new dresses that fits my latest measurements. :D

@@daredevl6657 breakfast and lunch alone. I start my first bite around 8.30 AM and lunch by around 12. A final coffee by 3.30 at the max. So approximately 16 to 18 hours of fasting on a daily basis.
I keep cheating every 2 or 3 days once. But even during those cheat meals, a minimum of 12 to 13 hours fasting is taken care of religiously. So The weight is just being maintained plus or minus 0.5 to 1 kg in this 72 to 73ish range. I keep 74 as the USL and 71ish as the LSL.
And when it comes to the craving for food, That is exactly the reason why I keep cheating every two or three days once :)

Very informative sir. I am following intermittent fasting for past 5 months. I lost 12 kg. Now my BMI is normal. I have also cut down refined sugar, oil, maida by 90%. Low salt as well. Having only two meals a day aft 14 hr fast and aft 8 hrs. Nothing i have except water in between. No longer i have cravings or hunger pangs. Tummy have lost its sensitivity to feel overwhelmed with high calorie diet. I play 1 to 1.5 hours a day. I am 39 yrs old.

It is very helpful to make people understand that going very harsh on food habits is not a good way to lose weight especially while you are starting it. The first step would be to give your body the time to digest that there is going to be a pattern change! I have seen a lot of my friends suddenly going from 5 meals a day to 2 meals a day and struggle neither come back to the old routine nor continue with 2 meals a day for a long time. 'Syrup'pu....🤣🤣 Thank you Dr for a consolidated video on TRF. My situation is this: I've been following TRF since 2020 but haven't been consistent. Wondering if yo-yo dieting and inconsistencies have made me insulin- resistant as the scale is not budging 🤔 Was following 8 to 9 hour window for long time ( 12 noon to 8 or 9 pm). After learning about circadian rhythm from your videos, trying to finish earlier, so recently started on 6 hour window 12 to 5 or 6 pm. Been good so far 🤞. Haven't been regular with logging my food, restatred again since this week. Let's see. Due to.the nature of my job and the place where I live (quite cold compared to the tropical Indian climate), I am not able to shift my window to an earlier start and finish. Evening-la pasi kolludhu.
Also, struggling to fit TRF at social gatherings. Haven't been brave enough to venture into carrying tiffin box like you suggested - freinds get offended. And not eating while hosting parties is another headache as guests take offence with that too. Thaanga mudiyalai Dr....😭
On a.serious note, will be more consistent henceforth with eating window and logging food 💪💪

@@mananthakrishnan thank you so much for the detailed reply 🙏🙏. Yes, am using myfitnesspal but haven't been logging regularly. Aim is to log food daily so I can know the exact calories as well as macronutrient quantities like you mentioned. Will plan to increase my protein and fibre intake like you suggested, thank you 😊
I'm fasting 16 hours a day for the last 1 month with out any food restrictions. But from now I go for some healthy meals and enjoy my fasting through out the day with out any stress as in the beginning. Your explanation was so nice❤. Thank you doc for your joyful explanation.
