Havana Marley Twists Tutorial using the Natural Looking Invisible Roots Method (better sound)

- This tutorial for installing thick and chunky Havana / Marley Twists is done doing the invisible roots method. I chose to do the invisible roots method for more natural looking twists. You cannot see where the hair is attached because it is twisted with your own hair covering it!

I used 4 full packs of the Amour New Malibu Kinky from my local beauty supply store for about $20. Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisturizer and Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel.
It took me almost 4 hours to twist and I kept them in for almost 4 weeks.

this is really nice and you're beautiful
Thank you!
You the most perfect complexion.
Kimberly Jackson Thanks!
I love this method! Looks really natural and beautiful. It's great that there's ni braiding involved. Nothing like doing it yourself
Thx for blessing me with this tutorial! I JUST started braiding my own natural hair this year and trying twists is my next adventure...peace!
You look gorgeous I would like to try this style, it looks very easy to maintain, do you think this style could last for 2 months. I don't like bothering my hair to often and looking for a low maintenance style that can last for at least 2 months.
Depends on your hair texture and lifestyle
You look just like Uzo Aduba
elle est plus belle que Uzo.
i didnt mean that comment as an insult i think Uzo Abuda is beautiful i hope thats not the way she took it
I have watched many videos on how to achieve this style and your video is the first one that I was able to understand! It just clicked for me! Thank you!
Thanks for posting. I've been wanting to try these on my own hair for a while, and now with your tutorial I feel confident that I can get the hang of it!!
You have helped me out a lot. I keep sharing this video left & right. Very detailed. I'm a hands on person & I keep it locked on here.

I just finished doing my hair and i love it!! thanks for posting this tutorial!
Hands down the BEST tutorial on how to do these!
It's a great style for the summer!
this is the most natural looking install technique I've seen. Thanks for the info!
You're welcome! I started in the back because I knew it would be the hardest and by the time I got to the front it was a lot easier because of the practice. You can stretch your hair in twists or braids before installing them.
These are gorgeous! And they look so natural. I think I just found my next protective style.
Simply Wonderful. You did a Great tutorial. This is making me wants Havana Marley twists already.
You're welcome! Glad you found it helpful
Thanks! Look forward to hearing from you
You have done the best and simplest tutorial that I've seen for these twist. I like that you shared what products you used and how many packages of hair you used. Your twist look so clean and uniformed. Beautiful job.
yeesss!!! I literally just took my kinky twists out and washed with terresentials and was thinking about changing my style up!!! so glad i found this vid, cause I can't WAIT to try it.
I will be doing my hair this weekend!! Thanks for the invisible part lesson!!!
You're welcome!
you and a few other videos was awesome!! did mines today, took me 3 1/2 hours, my hair looks amazing Thank you so much!
WOW!! Who'd-a-thunk invisible roots would be so simple??! Excellent looking twists, and excellent tutorial. I've gotta try this soon. Thanks for posting!
Thanks! Its listed in the description box. Ive never tried puffy twists but I'm guessing it should be similar
Loved the video. Explained very well. The twists look great. Very natural
this is beautiful. and believe me i don't comment often (once in a while for that awe-inspiring video) i love how natural it looks. definitely getting this for school
Your hair looks great! I love how natural they look! You are very talented and did a lovely job!
You did a wonderful job!
I love the twist that start as a twist......
Blessings!
I watched this video over and over because these are super cute. While attempting this method I got confused with the counter vs clockwise twisting. She actually twisted the hair in the same direction. This gives her a really good base in which the braids won't be too too tight and not too loose. OK back 2 practicing because these are must have and must do! Great job!
You can email me at donedo@umich.edu for more information.
great tutorial!!! super cute style!!! thanks for including how many twists you ended up with as well - I may just give this a try...
you can email me at donedo@umich.edu for inquiries

Thanks! Yes, it's noted in the annotations
LOVE this! Im only upset that Im just finding it, looks so natural, definitely my new go-to do !
Beautiful hair!! Excellent tutorial.
Best vid on here for this!!!! Great job.. clear delivery
Yes, it held up well. I just put it in a high bun but I do think how well they hold up is also dependent on how long your hair is and your hair texture.
Thanks so much your hair looks great! I use to do my own braids but stopped. This style cost $180.00 when I get it down every three months. Thanks to you think I will save my money and do it myself. I have subscribed to your page if I lived in your city you would be my stylist.
This is gorgeous. I've been wanting to try to do this myself for so long. You made it look simple. Fingers crossed that mine will look as beautiful as yours.
Thanks! I gently co-washed it once, but my hair is about armpit length so I didn't have to worry about them slipping out.
This is a great tutorial! I looked at some other ones using the same technique but yours has been the best explained thus far. Had to stop when I ran out of hair (5 hours in). I bought 4 packs like you did, but I knew I was going to run out after the 2nd pack. I think it's not necessary to use 2 whole pieces - 1 1/2 max works for me. My twists are GINORMOUS so I'm going to take some down & split them into smaller pieces. I'll probably end up using 5 packs total. Otherwise, I love this style!
Yes and thanks!
Thanks! It just takes some practice!
I like how you went right in explaining how to do the twist ... I will be going to the hair shop tomorrow!
Thanks!
love how they came out curlfren...im gonna try this weekend on my daughters hair.
Can't believe it only took 4 hours! Great Job, love it!!

Style is cuter than everyone else's. Love this!
I used straight parts and made boxes for my twists but some people prefer no parts. And yes, I put the moisturizer and gel in my hair before twisting.
Your tutorials are amazing
