    I maintain a twist-out for weeks by using this "scrunchie" method. I usually can do the "scrunchie" method for three days in a row before having to re-twist! (Perfect for my lazy days!) Also, it helps to elongate the hair!
    Hope it Helps!

    I know this is an older video but I just wanted to thank you!! After months of struggling with how to maintain my twist outs without having to re twist my hair every night, I finally got it! I will be 12 months natural this Saturday, March 7th and im super excited that I am finally getting this natural thing down. I watch all your videos all the time, but I guess the other day it clicked! I'm currently on 3rd day hair and I'm loving it! Thank you so much! You are truly my hair inspiration!

    I was just about to give up on going natural until I found your videos. They gave me hope. I tried your homemade hot oil treatment and aloe vera juice and the twist-out (which I have never done before)! But this morning I wake up and my hair has never felt so soft and manageable. Thank you so much for the videos and sharing your recipes. I have a new found strength to go all the way with my natural look.

    Naptural85 is the reason I went natural because she made it so easy and fun. One year after my big chop, and I love my hair...Preshrink and all.(smile) I have fine, and for now thin hair but my little girl hair is thick and strong like Naptural85 and she is enjoying just being herself with it. Because this hair journey is something that I share with my daughter it helps bring us even closer. Thank you Naptural85.
    Forever Grateful,

    It has been a year since I tried this method. When I tried this method, I became very frustrated, and my hair did not turn out right. Recently I decided to try this method again and my hair turned out so much better! It's not perfect, but in the future I will become better at it! I am definitely doing this method again. I get more definition, and it's way better than doing two strand twists.

    Hi! I'm 15 and I decided to go natural, I've been natural for 3 months now and I'm not very good at doing my hair to be honest but I really want to be natural and stay that way! Any advice for a teenage beginner?

    • @Carpathianpixie
      @Carpathianpixie 10 років тому +7

      Congrats! Dont worry, I've been natural for over 3 years now and im still not good at doing my hair, lol. I stick to wash and gos, they're easy and and way faster but when I was transitioning braid-outs were my best friend. I used to do about 10-12 cornrows on my head at night and then when i woke up in the morning my hair would be good to go. Now, granted it took about an hour to braid my hair up but all i had to do was tie it up at night and it could last me a few days until i had to do it again. Just make sure to properly moisturize it the first time and it'll stay soft and moist.
      P.S. sorry for the long response

      @sincerelyaninsomniac...4314 10 років тому

    • @yellowshelbs0318
      @yellowshelbs0318 10 років тому +2

      ive been natural my 22 years of life and started doing my own hair in high school. the best advice i have is find products(shampoo and conditioner) that work for your hair and for styles trial and error works best. as for moisture always apply your oils last because any other moisture like water will evaporate by itself but oil on top the oil seals in the water. coconut and almond oil are my favorites. very moisturizing without getting to greasy

    • @TheCocoonline
      @TheCocoonline 10 років тому +2

      check out honestly erica's channel for washing tips, keep your hair stretched, use a leave in conditioner to maintain moisture, and learn how to do two strand twists. avoid using a comb to reduce breakage--finger detangle instead. good luck!

    This is a great method. I was hesitant to try it for a while because I thought it would take longer than my normal twist outs, but I was able to do it in the shower right after washing my hair, let it dry for the day, and the next day I had an amazing twist out. The only downside is that the twists can't be worn as a style and the twist out doesn't last longer than 3 days. I'll try using gel to see if I can get the style to hold longer.

I am now 14 and my hair has gotten really long, I will be starting high school soon, and I really wanted to wear my natural hair, and you videos give the best ideas. Thanks! (:

    THANK YOU!!! I'm trying to find a great way to twist while transitioning and regaining my natural curl. I love this; really nice.

    I have been using your techniques since I went natural in January 2012 I have found that the products work great for my hair but I have a drier texture more like 4c so sometimes I have to try to achieve the styles a different way...but you Nd one other natural hair page has kept me from going back to the creamy crack or cutting it off and starting over thank you very much for your channel you've helped in more ways than u know

    Watched your video a few times (like 8 times) and just tried your bantu knotting. Can't wait to see if I did it right :)

    Tried twistout this weekend, it worked! I had a time gathering sections, but if I keep doing it, it will become easier. My hair is shorter and I used two scrunchies. Sprayed my hair with aloe Vera and used my Shea blend and my detangler brush.
    The next day just it did look just as good, sprayed lightly w/jojobo, grapeseed & rosemary water and finger styled in place. Thanks, looks better than the simple twist method!

    Your hair appears to be very similar to mine. I have viewed many of your hair vids and I think that your methods will work well for me. Thank you so much!!!

    You're brilliant! I've been growing y natural hair underneath braids for almost a year now so I'm just starting to learn how to play with it and all of my twist outs so far have failed because I can never separate the curls without destroying them. lolz now I don't have to worry about that! I'm definitely gonna give your method a try.
