the smartphone needs to continue nearby the weatherlink? or after estabilshing the first connection my weatherlink will continue connected at the wifi network?
Hi, Erick-MoroConche, Thanks for the enquiry, the phone App with Bluetooth is only required for setup to connect to WiFi. Once this is connected, it will upload to the Cloud direct through your WiFi network and the phone won’t need to be nearby.
Hi Joe, Follow these steps on your VP2 console: 1. Press DONE and “-“ at the same time to enter into setup mode. “receiving from…” will appear on the bottom of the LCD. 2. Press DONE a second time. 3. This screen will allow you to view/change your transmitter ID. If you’re searching for a currently connected station press the left “” to move through the available ID’s until you see ON . The small number on the bottom left of the console when this appears is the transmitter ID your station is currently connected to. Do I need to have the Vantage pro 2 wireless version versus, the Cabled version? I assume I do, just want to be completely certain before I decide to purchase.
@@instrumentchoice to clarify, I also have to buy a WeatherLink Live device for my station (Vantage Pro2) to be "seen" on Weatherlink? Otherwise, I simply have a non-networked weather station, correct?
Hi @ThingsthatBling-fi7qp, The Weatherlink Live is only compatible with the newer Vantage Pro2 Sensor suites and as such, it won’t be able to be used with the original Vantage Pro.
Tengo dos davis vantage pro2 plus, una con transmisión norteamericana y la otra europea. Es posible conectar simultanemente ambas estaciones al weatherlink live ???
Thank you for your question, You asked if you have two davis vantage pro2 plus, one with North American transmission and the other European. Is it possible to simultaneously connect both stations to weatherlink live? Unfortunately this wouldn’t be possible. The unit will match the frequency of the Country that you have utilised on the address for the Weatherlink Live. As such, if you change this, it would only be able to pick up on one or the other.
The WeatherLink Live communicates directly with the Vantage Pro 2 via RF. You won’t need a console/base station to act as a bridge between the WeatherLink Live and Vantage Pro 2. (www.instrumentchoice.com.au/weatherlink-live)
Thank you. Your presentation made the process a lot easier.
Glad it was helpful!

Is there a way to connect directly to the vantage pro 2 without using any kind of console/base station?!
