Ingesting collagen is better than using topical creams. Topical collagen creams dosent penetrates into the skin because it's too large to be observed by thr skin. Also retinol is weaker than Tretinoin. Retinol is a derivative of Tretinoin. Please see ASAPScience anti aging video....

Wash with Neutrogena hydro boost cleanser then moisturize with Neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer which I got for her. I notice today that she looks much better. Thank you so much for this video! Growing up, no one ever talked about menopause--it was a taboo subject for no reason! When my mom went through it, she never talked about it, so a lot of these postmenopausal and perimenopausal changes were a surprise! (The acne, in particular!) And it really shouldn't be, so I thank you for making this video. And if there are any premenopausal women reading this comment and your mom is still alive, do take some time to talk with her (and your grandmothers and aunts) about what their perimenopausal and menopausal experiences were like. Yours will likely be the same as theirs!

I could do an entire dissertation on this subject. 15 years post-menopause and the skin changes just keep coming. Mine started drying out in my late 20’s and menopause accelerated that process ten-fold. Since I’ve been seeing dermatologists since the age of three months (yes, extreme sensitivity also), I’m fairly familiar with the drill: moisturize, moisturize, moisturize…..it never ends. Fortunately science has vastly improved the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of products over my lifetime so there are many helpful choices out there. And Lucky us-we have Dr. Dray to help us navigate that universe. Thanks for all these terrific videos!

Thank you for bringing up sleep wrinkles. It was difficult, but i've managed to become somewhat more used to sleeping on my back, and the difference it makes (less puffiness) is remarkable. The Sleep & Glo pillow didn't work for me, but i imagine it's great for some. (I angle my face down - never straight nor up - when turned to the side, so the raised curve at the bottom that's supposed to support your chin always pushed into my cheek, defeating the purpose. Make sure if you need to return it that you keep the receipt from shipping it back to them, and follow up; they gave me a refund after i reminded them, told them i tracked the return and they should've received it.)

I am 55 and the difference in my skin and body is shocking. Its very depressing. My skin is so dry no matter what I do and when I put moisturizer on I swear it increases my night sweats and makes me feel like an oil slick! My hair is also thinning. I am doing my best to help myself during this but it does really affect my mental health. In my mind I am young. But my body says otherwise.

I never really had oily skin when I was younger, more combo with the oily T-zone. But as I aged, everything became dry, especially the cheek areas. Since menopause, I feel like a dried up leaf from head to toe! 🍁🍂 I've also developed more sensitive skin that was never an issue pre-menopause. Fragrance in skincare is a no as well as chemical sunscreens which give me a horrible contact dermatitis rash. I also have to be careful which retinol products to use as they can trigger a reaction as well. It can be a struggle but if I stick to the products that work well for me, (Vanicream, CeraVe, Aquaphor, Eucerin), my skin looks and feels soft and hydrated. 😊

Btw, there's a CVS deal, Gold Bond with urea (totally changed my skin, reversed much of the dehydration), buy $20, get $10 in rewards. I bought the GB pure moisture body & face lotion, 5.5 oz for about $6.50, good day cream; and my 2nd GB Age renew retinol overnight (I don't think the retinol is enuf % to do much tho), 7 oz for $14. Got back $10 on my cvs card, coupon works. Dr has talked about the gold bond line, that overnight body lotion she likes is on sale too. The ones I bought are true facial formulas & have not clogged me (I have dehydrated skin but prone to congestion). I use both for daytime, depending on how heavy of an occlusive I want, over black girl kids sunscreen, another fab formula (quite light tho) at a fantastic price & wet and wild cheapie tinted hydrator.
