Just got my hands on both from Binny's today, was suprised by the 74.99 price tag on the ECBP while the LBP was only 69.99. cant wait to crack open both and rewatch this video as i try them to compare notes.

I've tried putting the same whiskey in 2 different glasses and the taste is relitive but the nose changes so much that I wouldn't reccomend comparing different whiskey in different glasses.

It’s very odd that they would compare a wheater to a traditional bourbon and be perplexed that the flavor profile is different. 🤨

Not perplexed. We are emphasizing the difference, and picking the best out of the first release of the year from both. But thanks for watching.

Just cracked open the Larceny a124, and am enjoying it. Seems a bit brighter on the palette from what I remember of my previous favorite, the c922 release, which was just a flavor bomb, more on the darker, richer side. But, memories are tricky things. The a124 does go down fairly easy for it’s proof, and I can’t say anything bad about it… nice, medium-ish finish that retains some of the sweetness. i don’t get much oak, but am enjoying the different profile from the typical ECBP profiles. Still trying to figure out if I prefer the c923 release or this one… maybe a few more sips to know for sure, since
I still have a little of the previous release left. Cheers!
