  • The 2022 Honda Civic hatch has a lot of usability and style. That being said, it's not the most fuel efficient car on the market. But it's fine.

    I just gotta say, I really appreciate all your videos. You are the only reviewer that provides unique content that so many other car reviewers ignore. So many youtubers just name off the spec sheet like MPG but never actually do a real world test to keep the manufacturers claims honest! I most of all appreciate all your sound demos being an audiophile enthusiast. The sound system is one of my top priorities when looking for a car and you have helped me navigate this niche feature in the industry a lot. Thanks!

    After having the car a couple weeks, and on my 3rd fill-up. Driven quite a bit in that short time. My first tank from the dealer got me about 28.5 combined, although probably 70% freeway. On second fill-up, I averaged 34.5. About 70% freeway driving as well. I babied the car the first 600 miles, and probably won't let her open up fully until at least 1k. But real world seems to be pretty close to marketed estimate.

      @@dennisole457 nice! Congrats on the new car. I love mine. Got it in lunar silver. The boost blue looks awesome as well. I'd also recommend leaving it in sport mode around the city, and when getting on the freeway. Once on the freeway, pop it into normal mode. I've noticed it helps with the initial gas requirement to get up to speed from a dead stop since its a small 1.5l engine. But once you're cruising at highway speed, the turbo will be all that's needed in those passing situations. Or hell, just leave it in sport all the time haha

    There's reports from owners that mileage improves the more the engine gets broken in. Of course, that depending on the driver, too. The top trims have slightly more sound insulation than the lower trims, though noth have more than the previous 10th Generation. The 18 inch wheels and tires are noisier, but ride smoother in the Hatchback with the Continental All Season tires as opposed to the Sedan's Goodyear Eagle Sport Performance tires.

      This has better premium sound system but Mazda is better in base systems. This drives better than Mazda 3 tho, which is really surprising, and has more space (trunk and interior), more efficient extremely comfortable seats(despite what this guy is saying, I think they're one of the best seats in the segment maybe second only to a sentra), better AC even tho it lacks rear vents it still cools the car really quick but mazda has better interior quality, looks, 6 AT and more power depending on the trim and more attention to detail, like the seats are adjusted for sporty feel and spine health and the lights inside the car have tuned specifically so they're not too harsh in the night but everything that you need is illuminated and blinkers are timed so its less harsh for others to see etc so it depends largely on choice.

    dodge will usually try to build a larger car. dodge usually has a lean mixture around 16 to 1 . it usually has a bit longer piston rod. a bit higher compression ratio. does more air cause a more regular pressure over the piston. ? A bit higher torque. Usually a smaller flywheel. less gears because higher torque on gears. Because the engine has more air it has to run slower to economize. It becomes easier to drive on long drives. Where torque is comfortable. sloppy steering helps avoid obstacles. 1985 2.2 minivan can get 40 mpg. 60 mpg above idle on salt flats. only a 4 cylinder so it cant be turned on and off.

      Do you use eco mode? what about your driving habits? Do you floor your gas peddle to get it speed limit, or do you take it easy? Do you use auto stop/start? Do you speed up to stops or do you engine brake? Do you ever engine brake at all? If you get lower MPG than est, it's 2 things. 1. You have terrible driving habits, and 2. You have not been performing proper maintenance.

    • @TraceguyRune
      @TraceguyRune 2 роки тому

      That life time average is hugely affected by idling at red lights, drive-thrus, and winter warmups. Using auto stop/start will fix that fuel waste. Don't like keyboard mechanics tell you start/stop is bad. It was designed by PHD engineers for this engine, the engine was designed by engineers to be auto started/stopped. It's not a problem. The real problem is driving an old car and manually shutting it off and manually starting it back up.

    • @User-pu3lc

You should set the cruise control at the Max speed limit for the Highway in whatever state you are in . 73-74 seems like it would be over the max speed limit on the highway.
