Honda removed the storage pocket behind the driver seat because no one ever uses it. They did a study once, and discovered that 99% of people don't use the pockets behind the driver seat. However, drivers will often store sunshade in the back pocket of the passenger seat, that's why they decided to leave the passenger seat pocket only.
this is truly one of the best reviews i’ve seen it feels very lax and not boring plus it compares trims and competitors 10/10
Thanks for watching!
I love how this man speaks at x1.25 playback speed without having to adjust the playback speed.
Nice video 👍🏻
Came here for this content. Was going to say this if somebody else hadn't.
I believe there is an “Easter egg”. It’s in the front arm rest on the bottom of the little removable tray.
Thank you Justin!! I was really wanting this car, now I'm really happy I put in my order after seeing your video. I got mine in the beautiful boost blue. Can't wait!!
Dude thank you, I've been looking for an in depth look at the car like this.
Best overview of this vehicle I have seen. Thank you for going over it all so thoroughly.
Thanks for watching! 👍🏼
This was the best review I've seen of this car! I'm leaning toward this 2/3 year older model & highest trim level for my next car & your review was extremely thorough! I didn't even know about the remote starting & other features available in the Honda Link app! I had a 2017 Honda Civic & of course those features weren't available, but I didn't even think about then being available in the newer models! Awesome review again!
U really went in depth with this review, u just earned a new sub.
Finally, a car review where someone actually lay flat on the cargo area with the rear seats down.
Great review Justin! You covered everything! Thank you? I’m now subscribed to your channel!
Loved this review thank you so helpful!
Thank you for making one of the more detailed reviews of the Civic hatchback that also compares to other cars on the market. I would love to get a Touring with the manual for a fun, practical daily.
Thanks for watching! 😁👍🏼
I would LOVE this since they don't make the Accord in a MT anymore
I slowed you down to 0.75 and the review was excellent. Not knocking you, I know that's just your personality. Great job. Thanks.
Same
As a big man who just purchased one of these after the review, thank you.. been driving a 2014 EX Sedan for a while now.. started with an 01 LX Sedan. Civic for ever
Thank you for this video. The side info bars were really helpful. Loving the look of this Sport Touring both exterior and interior.
Thanks for watching! 😁👍🏼
@@JustinFullerReviewsshould I get this sport touring 2024 or k5 gt line awd?
Thank you for laying down inside the trunk! Helped me decide to get one
Thanks for watching!
Very imformative review.. keep up the good work.
Awesome video. Very detailed and extremely helpful. Thanks bro
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome review 👍
This is the exact car I'm planning on getting. Same color and everything. Hopefully I'll be able to find one at a reasonable price without too much markup. Great video.
Update! Got the car! Thanks for solidifying my purchase with this video! Loving the sport touring!
Yeah it sits really in a safe spot among its competitors. Which is pretty balanced and comfy. Yeah i got my 2022 civic hatchback sport touring with spoiler package. Pretty sleek and sexc.
Thank you for doing this review. Your comparison to the Mazda 3 was super helpful!
Thanks for watching! 👍🏼
Which is better?
Love the intro
I just got this car in rallye red, tinted windows, spoiler, and blacked out emblems, and contour lines. The only thing i miss from my 2019 ex-l hatch is the passenger side mirror that comes up when the right indicator is on. My favorite feature right now is the woreless charger and android auto! But it's only been 3 days so I'm sure i have more to discover
great video!!
Excellent review! Have the issues with the turbo engine been resolved?
Civic Touring(both sedan and hatch) outshines it’s Corolla top trim counterpart: Bose speakers, wireless charging, more HP, legroom, trunk space…Honda really did a phenomenal job with the redesign
Thanks for the vid bro, I just bought my 2022 civic hatchback sports touring today haha
Congrats on your new Honda!
Kool review!! Hi Justin can you please do a review on the 2022 Honda Accord.
I just bought my hatchback yesterday. I love it. At $30k I’m getting all the premium features that would cost me $35k+ in the accord or HRV models. And I can fit a road bike in back with the seats down.
if you don't mind me asking what apr get you get and what are ur monthly payments
@@vekarros841 not OP but I just bought a Sport Touring. APR was 2.8% through Honda Financial Services and I pay $415 a month. Traded in a ‘19 Civic Si.
@@Gdavis248 what do you miss over the SI? Did you get CVT?
@@digitors Rowing through gears on a wide open two lane back road and hitting that perfect rev match downshift then gunning it around a corner. That’s fun! But other than that? Nothing. The touring rides better, sound system is better, screen is better, storage space and practicality is better, headroom better, seats better, quieter…just overall it’s a better car. I could have gotten a manual if I really wanted but I just wanted an auto this time around and so far I don’t miss it 99.9% of the time! And the CVT is fine, I really don’t even think about it which is a compliment.
I have three dealerships around one has the SI, the other has the touring CVT and the other has the touring manual. Si seems great for racing, I can’t lol. I really like Touring features- heated seats, remote start etc. I’m driving a Manual 2018 Accord Sport. CVT would be fine for sitting in traffic
Very good review
Best video I ever seen
I believe the hatchback has the EX-L trim. But the Sedan has the the EX trim.
The mpg factor is a base, but mileage improves slightly as the car is broken in, but also determined by how you drive and what driver mode you use.
Also, for lighting for trim levels, that looks like the previous 10th Generation Civic. All trims should have LED lights from what I saw from alk the other videos, but onlybthe Touring Sedan and Sport Touring Hatchback has the LED foglights. The previous generation Sport used to have foglights. The hatchback highlights was darkened compared to the Sedans to have a more sporty appearance.
Been selling Hondas for nearly 10 years now. Overall you did a very good presentation.
Thanks for watching!
I had a 21 sport touring and sold it. I just ordered the 22 touring sedan in sonic gray Pearl. I can’t wait to get it. I’m hoping the back seat is wider than the 21.
What do you think is the easiest colour to maintain SGP, White or Meteor Grey? Great review btw!
I loved this review! It actually kept me engaged the entire time! I will be getting mine this weekend!
How exciting! I hope you’re enjoying it so far 😍 I’m waiting on mine to come in!😩
Question for you. Do you know what the time frame is for these being built. I saw your video and loved the look so ordered one but am still waiting 6 months later….
May I ask how is the turbo lag/jolt on this thing? I'm coming from a Nissan Note which is quite linear. Tried the VW Jetta which really gives me car sickness, so I'm quite worried about turbo charged engines 😅 Thanks.
Great review, maybe the best I have seen. Honda should give you sales commissions lol
Great Video. Do You have a Video Comparing the Touring Hatchback vs the Touring Sedan?
Dude this is such a good review keep it up
Great video! Please review the Elantra N
Can't wait until the Accord gets that interior. This car is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great review. Would of liked to hear your thoughts on the audio system.
Thanks for watching! I'm always torn to give my thoughts on audio systems. What people consider acceptable can be such a wide range when it comes to that.
Just leased this exact model today. Love it so far. Really GREAT review!
Yes! Do it! I got mine!!!
Video uploaded 55 mins ago must be my lucky day
Will you be reviewing the 2.0 Sport? Almost no info on that trim level. Great vid as always man, shout out from Puerto Rico!
When did Honda remove the EX-L lineup? It's still on the website.
Dude U Awesome 👏
The EX-L actually does keep the heated front seats and the leather seats
Yes, the "L" in EX-L always standing for 'leather.' I thought I saw that was mentioned as removed, but it is not of course.
Are you able to use the hondalink app with the 2022 civic? I don't believe it's available for my 2019 civic... Also, does anyone know how to turn the automatic shutoff off permanently?
You sir are underrated
Just got this car today and it looks and feels amazing
How much is the dealer tacking onto the MSRP?
@@stateniland i always fight them on the dealer markup. Ill usually have them throw on extras if they really want me to buy the car with the dealer markup. Usually its another 2.5k - 5k markup.
My real question is does the accord LX beat this in everything except for trunk space?
Justin I don’t know how to use my Honda link to remote start my car or other features from my phone is there something I need to do??
I’m considering the civic sport touring alongside the civic si, Subaru brz and Toyota gr86 as my year round daily driver to have fun with and even take it up to track days. I like all four but can’t seem to pick one over the others
How do I reset the radio? It will not give me the option to delete any of the paired devices. I have this exact radio system.
The Is the best civic review
Erin Rose Nola?? I know you lying, we locals. Im so glad I found this
Hi Justin. Great review. I own this car, I love it.
But can you talk more about the paddle shifters? Have you use them ? How and when are they used? When to use the + and - and brake. I’m still afraid to use them specially on the highway.
I acquired the '22 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring yesterday and had the same questions on my previous '21 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring back in March.
It's fairly simple and hard to mess up. While learning this feature, keep the car in Normal or Eco; not Sport. Alright so say you're driving and you want to slow down just a bit without applying brakes just tap the - and if you're on the highway and you wanna pass someone you can also - to increase rpms, accelerate and then + to stabilize. In Normal or Eco while using the shifters, the car will revert back to standard D after a period of time without + and - input.
I mainly use it in Normal or Eco while I'm traveling in 35-40 mph zones on a slight down slope and don't want to coast past the speed limit, but I also don't want to unnecessarily brake neither. Tapping - once enters D4 (Depending on speed) I coast for a bit, rpms drop then tapping - again shortly after to hit D3 remaining within the bounds of a speed limit.
I never really use + unless in Sport mode. Once the paddle shifters are enabled in sport mode, the car acts as a simulated manual; requiring you to use the shifters to change the simulated gears unless you go back to Normal or Eco. In sport while using the + and - the objective is to figure out where you wanna + to reach the next simulated gear. Don't redline, although the computer will prevent any harm from your input in practice. So 3000-3500 rpm +, 3000-3500 rpm +, 3000-3500 rpm + ; S1 ,S2 , S3 respectively Etc.
@@isotope- thank you!!! Great explanation. Give me more confidence to try them :)
@@Disxardust You're welcome. However, I don't even use them on this new '22. The better LKAS combined with the more advanced ACC overpowers last gens and renders the paddles useless imo
I switched my 2022 WRX for this civic trim in manual.. LOVE IT! HONDA LOVE😂
Hey Justin, Can you do the same for accord 2022 as well.
I just ordered this for next month. But I have a question, has the right turn camera been removed ?
Yes, it is no longer on the Civic. Honda is phasing it out.
Hello Justin, thank you for your great reviews, please I want to buy a brand new 2022 Civic and I am really struggling between the more powerful Si and the more confortable (and more features) Hatchback Sport Touring, compared to the Si I’m afraid that the hatchback would be not powerful enough, please I’m requesting a little help here, would you sacrifice the amenities for a more powerful car (Si) or the Hatch is powerful enough ?, thank you in advance 🙏
Same dilemma what did you decide. I may get touring manual but then no remote start for freezing NY
Any feedback on hwy road noise?
I wish the EX-L trim was still around. Leather is one must-have.
I wanted the hatch but in Canada its at least $3000 over the trunk which i think is ridiculous
Justin, did you say this 1.5L tuirbo engine has 880 horsepower the first time you were describing the engine? I believe you don't need to use the funnel to fill gas from an automotive type gas can with the pump style nozzle, just if you need to put gas in sonething else because that all you can find and don't have a gas can.
I got the HRV touring that came with AWD and I am so glad I did. Much better than the other trim levels. Totally worth it.
Great review. What's the color name for this Honda hatchback?
Sonic grey
Im 5”7, will i fit in the back?
If u want a si hatch, wait for the integra. This will hold a mountain bike inside, front tire off, and driver plus 2 passengers and backpacks
Does it have wireless apple carplay
Hey can you make a in depth Honda link video guide
Thank you for the great review. I have the same car and it’s an incredible value proposition even over luxury German brands. One correction you will need to make is that this car does not offer heated rear seats in any trim
I have this car in Canada and rear seats are heated.
@@robertconyers6207 Great info, I'm guessing its only available for Canada as I have the Sport Touring Hatch and it has no heated rear seats.
It does offer heated seats in the sport touring
@@jcubed120 Yes, but only in Canada. Same for the heated steering wheel, not available in the US market.
In your personal opinion which trim do you think is the best per dollar?
Sport or EX
can it connect to doordash
can u do the 2023?
Billy Madison: “Sloooow down.”
Thorough and informative review, though.
Lol…too much Red Bull?
Same. I was feeling stressed out from the fast paced and high energy talking 😂
Just waiting on that sponsor...
In Usa you don't have 2.0 Lt hybrid 184 hp?!??
What color is this car here?
I want the boost blue!
For almost 31k it has no rear vents or lumbar support for the driver and no height adjustment for the passenger. Also, it has a lot of road noise especially on the lower trim's
What’s better in your opinion.
@@FoodTechLife exactly no response :/
Amazing how car manufactures are so cheap over these features that you'd expect to be standard nowadays.
The Impreza hatchback (although slower) has better leg room, more cargo space with the rear seats down, a better crash rating, and oh yeah far superior in the snow. 🏹🤠👍
No comparison with the Elantra? It’s it’s biggest competitor
Golf 147hp?
🤣dude talks fast as fug. It makes the video seem shorter the what it is. But good vid none the less👍.
Only interested in the Sport with the 2.0L naturally aspirated engine and manual transmission. Don't want Automatic, don't want Turbo.
Right?
Lmao. I remember some females in my platoon pulling out sheewees on the woods haha
Your HP comparison is false, the base golf for 2022 is the GTI so its actually 241
The civic has 37.4 inches of rear legroom, not 36.
I just ordered mine in color white. $37K out the door. But I’m in California.
Are they doing BS add-ons in CA as well? In Texas, if they aren’t charging over msrp they are slapping add ons on like window tint, coatings etc
@ 2:49 head reat seats. i need my reat seats
I believe your misinformed, Honda brought back the EXL and got rid of the normal EX for this 2022
Yes, I own a 2022 EXL hatchback.
great video but wow does he talk fast
Unfortunately the wireless phone charger is a gimmick. Id still rather rely on a cable to charge my phone faster than that panel. It sometimes doesn’t even work on my friends phones. Too weak
