Perhaps, but that'd further mess with key alignment. I think it might've been better if they simply decreased the esc-f1 and f4-f5 spacings to make space for a third one. Agreed. It was super weird that he praised the company for that plastic. Most tech reviewers hate when companies use an unnecessary amount of plastic in their packaging vs just using cardboard, due to environmental reasons. Most people don’t read a manual again after the initial unboxing so its cool that it could still be used for something and if they really need to see the manual again they just need to take the poster down.

He also dont really go in depth at all in any of the reviews, just says these feel ok, bad good etc. Never gives you the actuation force, what the housing is made of, stem etc. His reviews are very, very basic and his knowledge is as well, which I thought was weird seeing as he says he builds Keyboards and loves customs.
@@lilpain1997Does the anime watcher, the fps gamer, the programmer, actually care to know any of that?
@@falosny my point was he has barely any understanding of what he is on about. The guy claimed he really knows his stuff but he dont at all.
Top aluminum and bottom transparent plastic - this is how Halo65 is made and it squeeks because of that when you hold it in hand
I’ve been loving my Keychain Q1 Pro, but this looks really nice too! Awesome that we have a lot of options now for good mechanical keyboards.
Only 1 minor issue, no magnets. And the only problem is the macro keys might not match every keycap set. And the only problem with the black one are the tactile switches. And my only complaint is the plastic shell. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the handle.
That's only 4 or 5 onlys. Basically the perfect keyboard. If it's not dead on arrival.😁
In case you're wondering if there's an ISO version - there isn't.
I still have their ISO f1, but they have dropped that layout on all of their later boards.
Not to mention, I'm still waiting for the updated ISO firmware they promised and never delivered.
What is it with the missing Delete key on so many of the smaller keyboards? My work machine requires Ctrl-Alt-Del to get to the login screen. I'm sure I can manage without the Print key.
The delete key is that top key on the top right. Captain on the whatever key :)
got myself Nuphy Halo 75 last week absolute love it
I wish these keyboards would ever offer an ISO version. Every time I see a cool keyboard review I look it up and it’s always just ANSI layouts
Exactly. Made my heart so happy when Keychron made ISO layout versions, but these would be so damn sweet to have :(
Why do you need iso?
as a French developer, I've bought a ISO FR Keychron Q1 as my first mechanical keyboard but I've been considering switching to US ANSI for a while now, idk it seems more adequate for programming and I don't really think I'll miss the french special characters such as accents.
At first I thought it would be tough to switch but I've been forced to use german keyboards at work and I realised that I've adapted pretty quickly !! Like 1 week. So this nuphy may be my first US ANSI keyboard......
@@sm_wlli too think a us ansi would definitely be better if you're a developer. i am one too and i use a tr iso keyboard but when i'm coding i always switch the keyboard language to en-us anyway. maybe i'll get some keycaps and go full frankenstein idk
Fellow developer here, I switched from ISO to ANSI because typing brackets on ISO is so cumbersome. Switching certainly helped my touch typing. Got a Q5 to sweeten the deal ;)
I bought my wife an AIR 75and she loves it.... Honestly I was pretty impressed as well. If there was a numpad version, I'd be in... Need the numpad for both work and gaming
i personally think external numpad is best. as being able to put it anywhere is useful for more complicated spaces
There’s an air 96 with a numpad! But the layout may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
@@wuntewingame9771 yeah, but the air thinness really wasn't for me. Very well-built keyboard but just not what I personally like. My wife was over-the-moon for it. I'm currently rocking a epomaker th96 for my work office, then bought an th80 for my gaming pc. I did the split numpad/keyboard thing for a while ... But I am not the biggest fan. Just a personal preference thing. Looking to replace it with a full size in the near future.
No product link? How do I buy a Field75 now, dammit!
Plouffe doesn't want to be called captain, he wants to be called senpai.
I personally love their Air 75. Use it with both my work laptop and for personal/gaming use. Great company.
I feel the same way i used my friends air 96 and it blew my mind. At the time i owned a razer huntsman keybord and i immediatley pre ordered this keybord and got rid if the razer and its great i love it. The quality for the money makes doing simple things like playing games and other tasks super satisfying
@@Daniel44537 man, I wish Nuphy would offer other language layouts too, but they're not planning to do it
That has to be the most satisfying typing noise I've ever heard.
Title - "This Keyboard comes with EVERYTHING"
Me - " Where the F is the numpad"
The irony of having a spelling a mistake on the packaging of a keyboard 😂
So everything but the numpad I guess.
Nuphy stepped up their game. If this was around before I got my keychron I would gotten this one
It's a nice midpoint between the Q and V keychrons, I wish Nuphy made a premium field to compete in metal
I picked up the keychron Q0 Plus (numpad) just before getting the field 75 and have to say I was worried when the Nuphy was coming that I wouldn't like it as much as the keychron, but they both feel and sound fantastic. Id say the keychron feels slightly more premium, but not as polished as the nuphy. Very different, but love them together.
When you looked under the feet on the white board it looked like a row of dip switches? Where they really dip switches or just a label or something?
They really have switches there
"Editor: Don't show this" Editor immediately keeps the footage
It would be nice if you could put in the link to the actual product you're unboxing
this keyboard reminds me of one of those toys with a lot of buttons designed to keep toddlers engaged
A burger, Michael Caine and rookers in the box? Sign me in!
Nuphy is definitely a good company. I have an Air 75 with their speed switches that I use with my setup at my office. I like it. Great layout, really compact.
Thanks for reviewing this keyboard Tectone
"everyone loves this knob"
And other fun things we can take out of context with LMG!
The lack of a numpad just makes every special keyboard a no-go for me
People getting excited about keyboards is as alien to me as...well, aliens.
Its a hobby at this point haha its on the same level as people getting excited about new Pokemon Box Sets, Movie Trailers or Vinyl Albums coming out... I don't quite understand those either but eh, people are different and that's what makes everyone unique.
I love my Air75. Nuphy makes decent keyboards right out of the box.
cherry switches are more expensive than the other options because cherry wants their switches set at those higher prices. I guess it's something to do with branding and marketing, I think it's a bit silly though. Especially when cheaper alternatives are much more appealing
why don't you guys link products in descriptions anymore?
I think they had a falling out with Amazon and their affiliate program.
They don't link to a product without some sort of affiliate link. None available = no link.
HELP! what program is he using at 9:58 to test the keyboard
After hearing the audio cues that you can have when typing, I would totally just procrastinate by making music with them. That's why I'm staying clear from this keyboard lol.
So like, it has a numpad? Still using my Logitech k120 and have never seen a need for anything more. It's an effing keyboard.
Better yet it's $16 on Amazon and mine has lasted more than 10 years.
Holy crap, it's literally not even a complete keyboard. It doesn't even have a numpad, which I was joking about all keyboards having by default. What an insane ripoff.
@@EpicDrew15 lmao his head would explode if he were to see a 60% keyboard.
They could capitalize more on the fact that mechanical keyboards are the fidget toys of 2023. Just place some 6-speed manual gear shifter, clicky levers and and a bell on the edge of the board.
Whats really cool is that they have a 2.4 ghz connection with a usb dongle. For my scenario this is perfect because i use a kvm to switch between two computers so ive stuck with logitech to have kvm and wireless devices.
Be careful with that dongle! At least on the Halo65 THE CONNECTION IS UNENCRYPTED! Anyone can keylog what you are typing. Stick to Bluetooth if you can
It comes with EVERYTHING... except a numpad, apparently.
75% layout needs more love 👍
Not a big fan of the plastic packaging for the quick start guide, but I do really like the dual use of putting a poster on the back.
Agreed. It was super weird that he praised the company for that plastic. Most tech reviewers hate when companies use an unnecessary amount of plastic in their packaging vs just using cardboard, due to environmental reasons.
I agree though, the dual usecase of the quickstart guide as a poster is great. Most people don’t read a manual again after the initial unboxing so its cool that it could still be used for something and if they really need to see the manual again they just need to take the poster down.
This might be a board I actually end up getting. I love the looks, I love the features it has and the price seems reasonable enough.
Always wanted to get a Nuphy keyboard so maybe nows the time.
I've got a Halo 65 and it's by far the best keyboard I've ever bought. I'm SUPER picky with my peripherals, and I think it was 100% worth every penny. This just seems like a fancier version of it. If you wanted a second opinion in the comments, I say buy it!
"Everyone loves the knob." Maybe I'm just immature but that got a wry chuckle out of me.
Plouffe talks about not knowing what material the switch plate is and I don't know why he doesn't open the keyboard up to find out.
I think it would go a long way to help make a decision
How did we wake up each morning without the "Ghost Bar"?? Thank you for the video.
I love how he geeks out over keyboards.
Looks like a great lap keyboard and the macro keys are a deal maker. Would love to replace my EVGA Z20
Go for it man i personally own this keyboard after owning a razer and its so good. Super satisfying to use and quality is great especially for the price
But it doesn't even have full set of keys (no numpad for example), how can it replace Z20?
With the look and industrial style and the whole package this thing is ripe for an Evangelion edition.
Are the G macro keys removable? Maybe I can maybe replacement sets for those to better suite other keycap sets :)
I would love to see latency data for keyboards in wired/wireless modes to verify how good for gaming they are.
Wired would probably give the least latency
@@ACE112ACE112 this is out of question.
.I want to see exact measurements. Some keyboards have like 13 ms in wireless while some others less then 7. This is what could make a difference in raport titles.
obscure keyboard brands really like to add handles huh
Would had been great if there's also with numpad option, well am not some kind of KB enthusiast so I won't understand why KB nowadays doesn't have the numpad and yet more expensive
For minimalist setup, and more space for the mouse to move around. But I also rock a numpad Glorious board
I'm sold. Getting this.
Put the volume knob on the other side, add a numpad, I'd instantly buy this.
Just buy a numpad 😊
I would rather walk the plank than let you be my captain.
This keyboard comes with EVERYTHING (except a full size Layout and the things you have to buy extra like the wrist rest. ) So this keyboard comes with 75% of a Keyboard and that's basically it?
Yea ?XD it's called field 75 not field 100
The captain on the bridge thing is probably an unofficial Honkai Impact colab :]
Random note but as someone who regularly moves my keyboard to make space for my Wacom tablet or other things I'm doin, the handle would actually be very practical for me 😂
magnets on the wrist rest? Arent those only found on prebuilt keyboards like steelseries?
"Capitan on the bridge" my mind instanty jumped to Honkai Impact
Everything except a numpad
Would love a one with the numpad
I know you're saying NuPhy but all I hear is Newfie. Shoutout to the Rock.
Miro is my favorite service my company uses
is there any good diy kit for full sized keyboard ? I play but also do a lot of work on the numerical input
omg, why do cables come folded anymore? D:<
Like, yes, I will have a cable that will never ever be straight please.
OMG if they made this in a full 104 it would be the perfect keyboard for me. I use my computer in the living room, with my keyboard often leaned up next to my couch, having a keyboard like this with the handle would be awesome. But I think the 75 would be too short (very specific set up, first world problem)
5:05 ... I like that. Right up front, and tasteful. Hate having it on the bottom or just a janky plastic slider.
this is probably the first keyboard I've seen that i was actually interested in. would need to switch to pass through keycaps (dont see the point of RGB if it isnt going to illuminate the actual key). but yea, this is going on my radar for my next upgrade.
"Captain on the Bridge" is a Honkai Impact 3 reference
Phew i was worried it didn't have the Delete key, but a dedicated one work nice.
Awww extra single use plastic to cover the piece of paper that you’re gonna throw out within 10 minutes of unboxing the keyboard, that’s so sweet of them to include that
"im the captain" but can you jump into water like Linus did today with PC
Pretty sure that was a fake thumbnail
How come no link to the product you're "not" reviewing?
This keyboard doesn't come with a numpad, how is that everything?
Still looking for my full layout, low profile, linear mechanical switch unicorn...
15 minute on a keyboard, I zoned out after 5 minutes 😂
man their yellow/gold version would look so amazing with the GMK Ishtar set
Now we need to dismantle it!
I picked up the NuPhy Air and love it. They are probably my favorite keyboard brand after being a Ducky guy.
This board with ten keys would be perfect.
what are the dip switches for bruh
I imagine the handle is to hang it vertically so it doesn't eat up space in a minimalist environment
What were the switches underneath the white keyboard’s fold out feet?
Captain on the bridge is a reference to Star Trek. They're saying you're Captain Picard.
Finally recieved my Field75 also, its so good so far.
I have a Corsair K95 and G keys are the primary reason why I all the other options this channel has shown have completely been out of my consideration. I absolutely could not live without programmable G keys.
… what happened to full sized keyboards with a numpad? All the keyboard reviews are for these under-scoped units. I guess a full-sized keyboard is considered "unfashionable" 🤔
They exist. They're drop dead easy to find
@@EtherealDoomed I know they exist, I have one. But all I seem to see is reviews of dinky little keyboards.
This is a really sick keyboard. I;ll definitely look into importing one when exchange rates improve in my country
Looks nice, but worthless to me without the standard number keys on the right.
