This is so cool growing up I remember watching my brother install amps.. HE was obsessed with doing that, so I'm slightly familiar with the lingo.. lol! Dropping by to show some LOVE!
i just wanted to say man that you explained everything great and in an awesome manor thank you so much i'm going to be installing my own sub woofer and amp in my 2013 civic soon enough and I've looked all over but everything was insanely confusing but the way you explained the process was super simple now i am looking forward to my set up.
WOW! For $400 or less that’s a huge improvement over stock! Great detail in this tutorial I hope we can get some quality footage like this of the c6 👍 friction tape/loom tape definitely goes a long way in making the wiring look OEM.
Super friendly budget for a budget friendly good system I’ve heard people spend more and it sounds not as good lol, I hope so I want to see some videos on the c6 😎 lol, yes it’s awesome tape we use it a lot at work lol thanks for watching
A couple more questions I'm trying to find though are with my LOC, I want to connect it to my stereo wires. Do I just cut all the required wires behind the stereo and connect them with the LOC wires? And with speaker wires, Do I just bring them to each front/rear speakers, cut and connect? My setup is coming in a week, so I was just trying to prepare beforehand. Thanks for any input!
The loc just has to be connected to just rear speakers or just front speakers I connected mine to the rear speakers just because it was easier and I just connected the speaker wire directly to the speaker and the loc speaker wire straight to the speaker in the video I walk threw that process to hope that helps
I have a 4 channel amplifier and I want to power my front/rear speakers with it. To my understanding, the speaker wires run around the car to the stock stereo. If I connect the LOC to the front/rear speakers there, do I just attach the RCA cables to the LOC, attach the RCA to my 4 channel amplifier, and it should power the front/rear speakers? This confuses me because I don't understand the point of having 4 channels if I'm just going to use the RCA cables to power my speakers
mans pulled the radio out to only add the REM and not convert from there LOL, still great and I see why you did it, this vid will help me when I install either today or Thursday
I would definitely recommended a separate amp only if you have upgraded your speakers if you did not then there’s no need for it you’ll just end up blowing your stick speakers but if you do upgrade your speakers (highs) and get a second amp getting the distribution block is highly recommended as well I talked about on this video, thanks for watching bro :)!!!!
Look here jesse.i have seen tons of these videos on how to hook up an LOC. i personaly think yours is the best.strait to the point.good camera views & not a bunch of blah blah blah about what kind of car i drive or or a bunch of distorted rap music playing &.well you get the point.thanks for a good tutoriol video on how to instal an sound system to a factory head unit.👍

Just a quick easy fix instead of using the remote wire on the OEM radio plug you can also plug the lead remote wire into the fuel pump fuse. Great video though Bro! 💯
Hi Jesse!!! I am hear to support no skipping!!! Ooh yess I remember those days with the truck rattling become husband had me yelling at people after getting out of his car hehehe!!! Lolol!!! When you do a video you are prepared!!! I love it!!! I saw the screws you were talking about by your gear shift or under the radio!!! Good point on grounding Jesse!!! Agreed check the work before complete reinstalling!!!! Wow!!! It looked cleaned you did a fantastic job!!! You are the man Jesse!!! I soo loved your video!!! Hiya, this is very helpful, if we need to install something like this we know the man we need to see😉 7:22 we got the same light , are you a mechanic? If not them you are good big THUMBS up 💖.
Great tutorial I must say I fully understand with the exception of one thing...when you tapped into the rear speakers for the amp does the remaining front speakers stay at factory level? Or do I tap into those as well.
I have the same car. 2 12" punch 2's but about to install all new stuff. Massive Audio Torox 12's with Wolfram 2400.1 amp and new D5100R XS under hood and D3400R for trunk. XS Batteries. Big 3 all 0 gauge wire through out. So watching this helps .
thanks bro ! It helped a lot but you should also show everything you do more detailed as the high level converter instalation and how to trow the cables all the way to the back
I personally would of hide everything the converter, amp cables, plus I wouldn’t of cut the factory harness but instead use the metro harness connecters, and wouldn’t use tape but wire loom. It still looks clean though!
About the high level converter connection im abit confuse, it looks like u taps the converter wire that stick out to stock deck speakers wire into T joint wiring style is it? Because i thought that the converter 4 wires that stick out suppose to tap to stock speaker wire, its like to convert it to be rca and connect to amp. And then get new wire and connect from amp and straight to rear deck speaker. Correct me if im wrong.
This video is the BEST. I have a 10th gen civic would I need to take out my radio and tap into a wire for the remote to install a sub if I hook my remote wire to a fuse that is a power on only when the key is on???
Great job, man! I love the video. I was wondering what is the inline fuse kit you used and also how did you secure the box in the trunk so that it does not slide around while you're driving? Thanks. Hope to see more Civic vids soon!
The fuse kit I got was just a basic one from amazon 👍 as far as the box I use L brackets and bolted the subwoofer down to the carpet spare wheel cover (the floor in the trunk) I forgot to record that part but that’s pretty much all I did Thanks for watching I appreciate that :)
look so well down and i have a question, i have same model but i have lot of stuff in the trunk because its my work car what u suggest if i put a 8 inch sub in between speakers does it give decent sound i mean without subwoofer box.
@@JesseRizo no worries, the worst you could tell me was either no or you didn't know. I think the rest of the details for pulling the radio should be the same. If I do try to do this with my car I will let you know if they are for future reference.

Hey what’s up Jesse, what about if you’re doing like a interior speakers and sub set up, I’ve seen the Sub set up. but I’m running an Clarion EQ no High output converters. What would be my next step into getting the entire vehicle amplified
So sorry for the late reply, we’ll usually as far as your interior door speakers if you want good power out of them I would get a secondary amp just to power the door speakers and keep the subwoofer on a separate amp that’s probably your best bet on amplifieing the whole vehicle since you need no line output converters I’m assuming you have a aftermarket radio installed as well?
So when connecting straight to the radio, did you just cut the wire in half, wrap the amp wire and radio wire together, and then taped it all back up? I’m planning on installing all this stuff for the first time by myself this weekend. And I’m trying to understand that part

@@JesseRizo people were saying an ignition switch does the same thing and it is a purple wire so I was planning on splicing into that one if i find it when i do my install when my amp and sub comes in
Yes you can you will just need to get more speaker wire to run it to the speakers 👍, lol I’ll be honest I’m kinda over the bass as well 😂 I think soon ima hook up a amp to my truck but just for the door speakers lol
Jesse Rizo lol oh ok yeah because i want to keep my stock radio on my sub I don’t see the point of having big bass anymore I feel like I’m bothering other drivers with my loud bass I was a big bass head in my teens and 20s I had 4 15s in the trunk but now I just want clear music that’s all
Jesse i got the High Low audio converter with Rem wire but need to know if hav to correct the rem wire to head unit's one or just to the amp from converter
Now when you tap into the cars rear speakers does the amp give the cars factory speakers power sense your running into them? Cause it seems like that would be to much power for them .
If you ever need to remove the sub box for any reason, you will have to unhook everything from the amp. That's why most installers don't hook the amp to the sub box. But it looks nice.
I probably wouldn’t recommend it but ima sure u can as far as the gage size it all depends on how much power your running how many watts your amp is going to be pushing
Hey Great video thanks I got an 2015 SI and I want to know the purpose of the convertor and if I want to unhook the twitters and factory bass how do i do it thanks

Same procedure for a Coupe Si I am guessing right?

I’ll be honest that I’m not sure I’ve never installed one of those so I wouldn’t be able to tell you nor would I want to lie to you so I’m not sure my friend sorry
