I did an install like this one not too long ago with a TNP212D2 1200 Watt.
It works great - the ground location I used straddled the back seat and the trunk. Might move it under the seat like you did here.
Sorry to bother you, i was just wondering if you found the bass to be working well? I installed the same sub with a different loc but the bass is not as good compared to my older car I had installed it in.
@@MobThree you need to make sure you got a subwoofer that actually will work well in your car
You made that pull through look easy cause mine keeps slipping off the hangwr
I need help finding a 12 volt switched source for a wire
Could I fit these subs and box in my 2011 Honda accord
Awesome
What are the dimensions of the enclosure
Hey man, just stumbled upon your videos. My 2013 Civic seems to have wiring problem, coming from inside the trunk I think. I can't hear any audio in my car radio or bluetooth.
Would you be able to direct me to how to troubleshoot and fix it?
I'd take it to your local audio shop. Sounds like a mess of an issue that would be very tough to diagnose in a youtube comment.
Hopefully you can answer this. What about the voltage sensor on the negative battery cable? Would that not mess with the amps getting the power they need I mean it would seem like you know with it regulating the alternators use you know for fuel consumption and whatever else it's supposed to do I would think that you would want to bypass it somehow
The ELD does affect the system. All you can do is turn on your headlights to tell the ELD there is a full load for it to hold max voltage. Or you can rig up a resistor to trick it 24/7
Yea iv never been able to figure it out iv always around 12-14v mainly under 13
i have the stock head unit in it without the navagation would i have to get and aftermarket head unit
its also the si trim if that helps
Nope, you would need a line out converter for starters, and the Pac LP&-2 is a great solution: amzn.to/33lRh5u
not necessarily but I recommend it. there's a lot more benefits to just getting an aftermarket one
Could i fit skars dual 12’s in my 2012 civic??
yes
I have a couple questions, would 2 12s fit? Same brand and box size it seems. And would it be easier to do it myself or have someone do it?
Yes, 2 12" should fit, but always a great idea to measure your trunk width against the box dimensions to ensure it will fit before you purchase. Using our video, you could do it yourself.
Would I still get the backup camera and blind spot camera showing in the touchscreen radio with an aftermarket radio thanks
Yes, but depends on the trim of your Civic. I can provide more info if you send me a message on our facebook or instagram pages.
Why would you make a subwoofer installation video with an aftermarket head unit that no one is using??
I've got a JBL Club 5501 mono amplifier that can take a high level input. My 2014 Honda Civic has the Premium Audio System with the sub in the boot. Could I take the signal from the speaker wires that go to the subwoofer? Or do I need a line out converter?
U figure it out?
@@lionessdeleon5777 Yes I did. I didn't use a line-out converter. Just took the signal from the existing sub.
How does this system affect the ELD? Does the ELD sense the amplifier somehow?
The ELD does affect the system. All you can do is turn on your headlights to tell the ELD there is a full load for it to hold max voltage. Or you can rig up a resistor to trick it 24/7
Is it better to go ahead and get an aftermarket radio as well?
Yes
Was hoping this was a trunk amp install, why under the seat if you don’t mind me asking?
One of the safest places to install an amplifier, and commonly where manufactures put OEM amps. Prevents it from getting hit by any cargo in the trunk, plenty of airflow, and still can be accessible. Trunk is still great, but usually can still be vulnerable.
@@ProvoBeastAudio thanks, I currently have mine mounted to the rear side of the back seat, and I am fixing to upgrade it, I might do this, less wire hiding required as well 👍, 2012 civic si coupe.
@@outofmind9222 where did you ground your amplifier?
I’m trying to install a sound system in my 2012 Si couple, but had a lot of trouble getting through the fire wall and finding a good ground.
