Yea I was still watching but I really started losing interest around this time but I still watched wrestling for a few more years but this game and 08 with ECW added to the game was the last two wrestling games I bought paid for. After 08 it went down hill quick with every title after 08 and that says a lot about 08 that wasn’t nearly as good as 07. How bad as game developers do you have to be when two PS2 games out classed all the titles that came out for the next gen consoles. Don’t even get me started on the bullshit that came out on Xbox one and PS4 with the terrible 2K title games. I don’t think even make wwe wrestling games anymore because of the trash that came out with next gen consoles from the 360, PS3, Xbox one, and PS4. I was glad I had no regrets giving up playing these trash ass games. The controls were so much better on with 07 and even 08 and then they some how found a way to ruin every aspect of the games and made the controls just unusable and more complicated then needed when it perfect as it was with 07 and they changed it slightly with 08 on few things but still the same.

My favourite game of all time, best soundtrack in a WWE game, really fun gameplay, great modes and a good roster, this game is the best and I've been playing this for over 10 years. Holds a special place in my heart and it's too good.
1.) The cover was smooth. 2.) Easy controls. 3.) You could go into the crowd which I thought was really cool 4.) The locker room was limited but nice. 5.) The soundtrack is one of the best in gaming right up there with madden 10 for me. You could play for hours and not get bored probably the second best wrestling game I've played
Yeah, 2008 was good but the game wasn't legendary. The removal of a proper season mode in svr09 just ruined the game from then onwards. The last one I played was 2k17 and they still haven't gotten anywhere near even svr08
I lived in a pretty poor trailer park when I was younger and I was one of the only kids with an Xbox 360, and everybody used to come to my trailer after school to play saints row and shit, after alot of playing, well, my Xbox 360 red ringed, and all I had was my uncle's PlayStation 2, which he left me when he moved out of my grandparents house, I think you know where this is going.... This game right here, Backyard wresting with icp and shit, Madden 04 and gta San Andreas, became a weekend tradition for me and my friends. We used to make created characters in sdvr and then hold full tournaments against eachother for little bets like who would give whose lunch the next Monday and shit. No phones. No social media. Just meet up after school, or knock on a door, and play the PlayStation 2, me and my childhood friend Stan went as far as coming up with plans to both fake sick on the same day, and he would sneak over and we would just chill and play video games on the ps2 all day. Nostalgia is such a weird emotion, it makes me so happy yet so sad. I'm glad I was born pre social media, before everybody was a robot, don't get me wrong I love my social media and shit nowadays, but I'm just glad I didn't grow up with it. Couch co-op brought a group of poor ass kids together and we all just had a great time. Now you can barely find a fucking split screen game. I miss it all. Sometimes I just wanna go back to bumpin my mamas burnt rap CD's on my plug in radio, faking sick to skip school, boosie rap snacks, kool aid juices, and play station 2 with the friends I've lost contact with.
Love these comments man, because it's true, back in the day we all used to have friends over and we'll play PS2 and Xbox games all day and eat snacks. Times were simpler back then, now today........very different because of social media and other online crap. I miss the nostalgia man.
Greatest game ever!!! I still to this day remember the controls, I played this game countless hours and still may pull out my 360 just to play this. Classic 👌🏽
My copy had a glitch where when “bullet with a name on it” came on it would freeze my game, but I never traded it in because it was still an amazing game
after watching all of your vids. i went and bought the oldest version of ps3s and started playing all the svr games. thanks fo bringing back my child hood.
Lol I remember when you’ use to be able to get a diva as a gf, and there were so many scenarios where she would cheat on you, get kidnapped , fight over her, protect her , rescue her , man those were the days , or you could’ve just went solo, and at the end everyone would respect you , you win the champion and confetti everywhere .
My favorite wrestling game ever. Still play it all the time. It definitely took what was good about 2006 and made it even better. And the reason I think it's better than 2008 is because that one has ECW which makes your roster too thin in (greatest mode ever) GM mode. Anyways, great video.
I couldn't agree more. When I got into Wrestling, this game was the Last SVR game, that I've been looking for until 2009 on Christmas day. I've played SVR(05) SVR 06, 08, 09 2010 & 2011. 07 was the last one.
1 big improvement this game made over SvR06 was the high fly moves connected no matter where your opponent was in the ring. In 06 you had to place your opponent directly in the middle of the ring in order to connect.
This intro gave me the feels. My friends and I all fell out of the product around 2001 and with it, the hours spent with us playing WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy. I feel your pain!
I remember after beating the superstar and legend challenges, and when the last challenge, Mickie James v Great Khali happened, I thought it was over. But I was so good with Rey mysterious in the game, I changed mickie James’ moveset to Rey’s, and pinned khali in like a minute in legend. Good times
The last time Chris Benoit was in a WWE video game ever! Unless, you are inspired to make a CAW of the Rabid Wolverine in all of his infamy amd notoriety
In the later games, it was a bannable offense until Hogan fans complained about the same treatment after Gawker case (officially moot from 2K19 in case of Hogan, though)
Seriously though, I remember my brother and I doing MITB matches and getting so sick of how long it was and we would work together to make sure one of us would win and not the CPU
I use to lean the ladder on the other ladder than run up and put both analog sticks up andi would hang on the briefcase while simultaneously draining the briefcase meter, saved me from losing or having long matches
I still remember the first time my friend told me he didn’t catch the latest episode of Monday night RAW. I could feel times were changing. We never used to miss an episode.
Bro what you saying in your intro video fits my childhood till now and is chilling to know, there are ppl like me lol. I still watch old WWE videos and play the WWE games just for the old wrestlers and legends. Cheers
Back when friends had to come over and play with each other. Wish we could do it one last time like we did in the gold old days with not a care in the world.
This is my brother’s favorite wwe game of all time. This was around the time my brother started to become a die hard wwe fan in 2006. This was when he watched it daily with our cousins and we still play this game, 06 and 08 today. He still remembers the controls and plays on legendary difficulty and wins every match and we remember the soundtrack to the top of our heads. That’s how much he loves this game and I love playing it with him, not to mention this is Chris Benoit’s last ever appearance in a game and I still miss him to this day. Can you please heart this comment, not for me, but for my brother? Please?
@Copper Colored it was not what I was expecting, but this may be the next big thing, a fan who is actually nice. Thank you so much man. It means a lot to see nice people on UA-cam.
Yo I don’t know if y’all remember but they even had their own website for this game called svr2007.com where u could just view the roster and their models in HD. So many memories. 2nd favorite WWE Game
The soundtrack alone makes this game legendary. One of the best wrestling games ever. I still go back & play this every once in a while on the Xbox 360.
My older brother was into wrestling so much, so it got me into the games. I never really watched the show. However, My brother gave me his copy of Shut your mouth and I fell in love with the games till as you said 2007. I really didn't have friends to play with since most girls my age didn't play games. However, for some reason I was still able to enjoy it by myself. PS2 is also one of my favorite, the super Nintendo comes really close. This was also the last game I got from Circuit city! Which was sad because, I like them a lot better than Best Buy.
This game was the best period of my Childhood, the most fun I have ever had playing a video game. The best Soundtrack by an absolute landslide, GM MODE!, and both sides of the Career mode were always a blast. Man, if it weren’t for this game I don’t know how my early years in my childhood would’ve gone...
Couldn’t agree more with everything you said. I thought I was the only one that thought that this was the pinnacle of wwe games. You got me hooked with the soundtrack. So amazing
just found ur channel and i been binge watching it nonstop and it actually made me buy a ps3 again and i just ordered every wwe game from 2000 to 2013. great content brother keep grinding. as a huge wwe fan these videos are amazing and nostalgic
I agree with you. All these games that you mentioned we played hardcore as well. They were so much fun. I think “Here Comes the Pain” was my favorite but I loved all those games from 2002-2007. I got so many of my friends to play. They were so exciting and easy to learn. After 2007, I hated how they changed the controls and the mechanics. That ultimately was what made me lose interests in the games.
My created character has the dopest entrance. Used to come out to “alive and kicking “ damn those were the days . We used to run weekly title defenses I held the intercontinental belt for two months straight lol
This game is responsible for introducing me to my love for wwe today, my cousin brought it over to play on ps2 and after an hour of playing as undertaker and Matt hardy he randomly said “OH HEY it’s giving smackdown!” We switched over to the CW that Friday night, and I’ve never been the same since
I been playing this game recently, and honestly was playing for what felt like 15 minutes, but an hour had actually passed. I had so much fun replaying this game, since it was the first WWE game i played religiously. glad to see others enjoy it for the same reasons i did.

Yeah, 2008 was good but the game wasn't legendary. The removal of a proper season mode in svr09 just ruined the game from then onwards. The last one I played was 2k17 and they still haven't gotten anywhere near even svr08
But 2011 was the best
@@misagarcia4656 yeah 2011 got a lot of playtime
@TheBestFighter Even 2010 and 2011?
I miss those days so bad.
Now nobody wants to play in person.
I ocassionaly can get friends to play nba2k or madden, but thats it.
Bro thanks for this detailed comment. I wish I could go back in time even for as few moments. The world was so different, worries were so different.
Love these comments man, because it's true, back in the day we all used to have friends over and we'll play PS2 and Xbox games all day and eat snacks. Times were simpler back then, now today........very different because of social media and other online crap. I miss the nostalgia man.
Last paragraph hit different
@@bigzachful it's sad mane frfr couch co-op was the shit
YES! FINALLY! This is my favorite WWE game of all time! Thanks for reviewing this!
One of the best songs froze your game
after watching all of your vids. i went and bought the oldest version of ps3s and started playing all the svr games. thanks fo bringing back my child hood.
LMAOOOOO good times!
Or Trish Becoming WWE champion for a minute lol
I believe that was 2008....Im not 100% though. I forgot you could do that too lol
Oh the memories I still got this but I missed playing this with my cousin RIP cuzzin
Everything you described in this video about the end of the era and the transition stuff is exactly how I felt and still feel.
I'm so old that the year you started watching was the year I stopped, 2002. Great video as always.
1 big improvement this game made over SvR06 was the high fly moves connected no matter where your opponent was in the ring. In 06 you had to place your opponent directly in the middle of the ring in order to connect.
This video just spoke to my whole childhood. Thank you! 🙌🙌
This intro gave me the feels. My friends and I all fell out of the product around 2001 and with it, the hours spent with us playing WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy. I feel your pain!
That Pulse shoutout made me so happy. Seeing a fave I found this year shout out my fave since 2013 was really cool.
This was my shit from my childhood between smack down vs raw 2006 , 2007 & here comes the pain.
Smackdown vs Raw 2006 and 2007 were the strongest 2 in the SvR series in my opinion. Here comes the pain is a perfect game tho no question about it.
Not to be laughed at, but it being the last game of Chris Benoit? Other than that the song, "Let's start a riot" was perfect
Yes. This game came out before the benoit tragedy
This game was not only fun, but it also educated me on so much wrestling lore with its tibits of facts inside the locker room
I remember after beating the superstar and legend challenges, and when the last challenge, Mickie James v Great Khali happened, I thought it was over. But I was so good with Rey mysterious in the game, I changed mickie James’ moveset to Rey’s, and pinned khali in like a minute in legend. Good times
13:02
That's very dark considering what happened to Chirs Benoit.
Naw, the last game of Benoit is when people stop creating him
Seriously though, I remember my brother and I doing MITB matches and getting so sick of how long it was and we would work together to make sure one of us would win and not the CPU
8Ball Entertainment it be like that 🤣
My cousins and I would do the same thing. At least let one of us have the glory not an AI who won't remember it tomorrow.
This game reminds me of CAW shows on UA-cam back in the day. Mainly SMF. I miss that show.
You have earned 350 *SP* Go to the locker room to upgrade your abilities
Wrong game man😂😂
This isn’t svr 2011
I remember when my dad caught me playing the fulfill your fantasy matches😳
Bruh
The soundtrack made it even more legendary
Please?
❤
For your brother
@Copper Colored it was not what I was expecting, but this may be the next big thing, a fan who is actually nice. Thank you so much man. It means a lot to see nice people on UA-cam.
❤️
❤️
Alec ❤️
This video describes my childhood, such a well respected game
Yo I don’t know if y’all remember but they even had their own website for this game called svr2007.com where u could just view the roster and their models in HD. So many memories. 2nd favorite WWE Game
i was thinking that lmao
Im glad you remember that, they also did it for 2008-2011 i think
White but a G Here Comes The Pain is my 1st fav
The soundtrack alone makes this game legendary. One of the best wrestling games ever. I still go back & play this every once in a while on the Xbox 360.
This video and this game should of have way more likes and views great job man you brought me back
Man I remember having the ecw invasion and tazz put me in the Tazz submission. Greatest story line ever on SVR 07. I miss both games soo much.
Nah bro that's SVR 06 😅
I was actually addicted to this game i took it everywhere on my psp❤️
Edge transforms the Boogie man when i play i had John Cena transform into a girl.
I want SVR 2007 to make a remake, for the PS4 and Xbox One. 😭😭😭
Just play the game on Xbox360. It really hasn't aged _that_ much.
@@Bubba__Sawyer can you play this on the Xbox one or do you need a 360
They won’t remake it. It got Benoit
They could remove Benoit
@@SDUMCHRD I only like this game because of
1. The Manger Mode
2. The Locker Room
Alive and Kicking by Nonpoint is still one of my favorite songs. This game had an absolutely legendary soundtrack.
So amazing
That SWEET CHIN by Shawn Micheals at 11:15 was EPIC
just found ur channel and i been binge watching it nonstop and it actually made me buy a ps3 again and i just ordered every wwe game from 2000 to 2013. great content brother keep grinding. as a huge wwe fan these videos are amazing and nostalgic
The best decade of wrestling ever - 1997 - 2007. The best era - ruthless aggression 2002 - 2007. It was my childhood too.
Rey mysterio when he jumped in the entrance 🔥🔥🔥
If I had to pick one thing. The soundtrack. Hearing Three Days Grace was a damn blast the first time I played it since they're my favorite band
Best thing about my childhood. Oh the nostalgia
That ultimately was what made me lose interests in the games.
this game had black people really singing rock songs “lets start a rioooot” this game is goated💯😂
Shid, we invented rock. Why not?
Prince Smook lmao
@@devzeppalin True
@@ItsAnEndlessWorld and wrestling too right?
You do realize the Rock's dad is black right?
My created character has the dopest entrance. Used to come out to “alive and kicking “ damn those were the days . We used to run weekly title defenses I held the intercontinental belt for two months straight lol
I remember hiding the disk so that my siblings wouldn't play without me.
Good times.
Honestly, the best game, soundtrack, WWE Era, best childhood memories spent playing this god what a time.
Forgive me is a odd song To have with a game with Chris Benoit
I am sad that I can’t listen to that song the same again
You spoke straight facts this whole video.. hit the nail on your head.. the attitude era till 2007 was amazing
Answer to the title : EVERYTHING
This game is responsible for introducing me to my love for wwe today, my cousin brought it over to play on ps2 and after an hour of playing as undertaker and Matt hardy he randomly said “OH HEY it’s giving smackdown!”
We switched over to the CW that Friday night, and I’ve never been the same since
This game had a legendary soundtrack , they don't put in that much thought in games anymore
I been playing this game recently, and honestly was playing for what felt like 15 minutes, but an hour had actually passed. I had so much fun replaying this game, since it was the first WWE game i played religiously. glad to see others enjoy it for the same reasons i did.
0:29 The disrespect to the OG SmackDown vs Raw😂
