My favorite thing about 11 was the CAW stats. No longer did you have to grind to raise the stats. You had the ability to make them however you choose. Your cruiserweights were fast and agile, your heavyweights were strong as bulls.
Man, it’s probably nostalgia but we take our time here for granted. As life goes on, we just want things to be like when we were growing up so we can live and have fun again. I miss the 2000s and early 2010s

Man the TLC matches in this game were phenomenal. I once set up four tables outside of the ring near the apron (two side by side, and then two on top). Then I had a ladder set up near the ropes in the ring. I hit the the Killswitch finisher of the ladder and broke the opponent through all four tables. And given that it happened in Universe Mode, he was carried out on the stretcher after the match.
This game had my favorite quote of Orton. Cena asks whether he'll paint the GM office yellow to match the streak down his spine, and Orton thoughtfully replies, "I will most likely not be doing that." Maybe it was my imagination, but I always felt like there was still some consideration toward the idea in that response.
this is one of my favorites in the SVR series. i really liked all the RTWM modes in this game. the ones with Cena, Christian, and Jericho were my favorite modes and they contained hilarious dialogue, especially the one with Christian. i'll always hate that i could never defeat Paul Bearer in 90 seconds on the Xbox 360 version, though. But the VS Taker mode was really fun overall and was by far the most challenging of them all. the Rey Mysterio mode was really fun to play. i think my favorite scene in that one is when you run into Edge (in locker room North - i think) and he's asking you if you've seen Jericho - and because Rey's memory is fucked up - he tells him to just look for the guy who has a head that's about 3 sizes bigger than what it should be. that was hilarious. i think i'd rate this game a 7.9... an 8 at max.
Too bad the AI was horrible. If the AI used their kip-up, you knew that you would win the match in one groggy move. If you ened up attacking the AI before a match (via universe) , if you pin them, they typically wont kick out. Also, if your opponent initiated a grapple hold, just keep mashing RT/R2, you will always reverse the grab because the game has no reversal timing with grapple holds. If you enjoy having the AI lose to an arm drag or a foot stomp, this game is for you. Only thing i enjoyed was the weapon physics and the fact that we can FREELY customize a caws attribute settings...
Legendary game bro. I would literally spend hours on this game day after day and I never got tired. Remember playing this game every weekend with my cousins and brothers and we would just have the most fun ever. Literally can remember these moments vividly, this was my childhood

I remember my brother and I laughing some of the hardest that we've ever laughed when we would go into the universe mode and select the scene of someone getting blindsided in a parking lot and getting their head smashed into a limo, but then making the attacker slot vacant. So the guy getting attacked would look like he was just going insane and smashing his own head into the limo. Still one of the highlights of my childhood to see Triple H plunging his own head straight into a limo window.

or the match where you had to lose the ecw championship to keep the story going and I just played the match for 40 minutes hitting finishers to william regal refusing to lose the match
There hasn't been since a more fun time then turning on a tlc single match on svr2011 with the dozen of tables and ladders when you start the match. First minute in you've broken dozen of tables in a sexy way, it looks actually real
I like Drew McIntyre's old theme Broken Dreams playing non-stop in the game's background when I played SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 recently in PSP emulators
Man I sure miss these games 🎮 So much fun growing up. First wrestling game I had was WWF War zone with stone cold on the disc. I loved Here Cones the Pain on PS2 as well.
I absolutely loved this game. The fact that you could your opponents in mid air while doing a nice blew my mind and made it so much easier to put them through tables and I to steps. It made weapons matches 10x better. Me and my brother played this to death.
@@your_boy_jeff_ I was 11 when this came out in 5th grade my wrestling hype was at an all time high at that time. I literally woke my moms up at 4am on Christmas Day in 2010 getting SVR 2011 & 2010 with my PS2 was literally 🔥🔥🔥now I’m 21 about to be 22 in 4 months 😩😩😩
I will say, Smack Down vs. Raw 2009-2011 is the best WWE game ever I played. I don't really enjoy the 2k version I mean 2k is good but I prefer the good old kinda 2nd generation WWE. It feels so much hype and I feel like I'm in the game, the vibe you get from playing it, it's just so fun and thrilling I would say. Thanks for bringing this up. I miss those days ❤️

I'm not even a wrestling fan except from watching the argentinian version of the WWE as a kid and I still play the PSP version of this game everyday at work lmao
I still can't believe that 2k took over the wwe games and made them suck. Also still can't believe that 2k is allowed to sell games like that and i mean new wwe games
SV11 was my first ever WWE Game back as a kid, and this game literally only made me wanna buy and play WWE Games until 2k16, I played it everyday, allday, standing infront of the TV. Memories.
I remember in this game you can put a ladder on your head and use it like a helicopter and attack everyone around you Something I don't get is why after this game they removed some of the best features from TLC matches and never to be seen again in future wwe games
This last WWE SvR game had some pros and cons! The pros are: Epic Road To WrestleMania mode especially the free roam, weapons break and don't make a slow-paced fade out transition when they are broken which it makes all match types with weapons more extreme and realistic, fantastic ring entrances, create your own custom corner finisher or signature moves, WCW Monday Night Nitro and NXT arenas, a decent TLC or ladder matches like Hold! and Reach! mini game and more WWE Legends. The cons are: The gameplay had some bad issues like you or your opponent doesn't get fully damaged when you use a wrestling move which is so unrealistic and when you irish whip your opponent through the ropes or corners, they make a really stupid animation with their arms swinging around and also the Universe Mode which is not that fun for me! I respect your decision and everybody else's decisions, so I don't want bad, rude and disrespectful comments! We all miss you so much, Yuke's! Great video as always and keep up the good work!
This was the first wrestling game I played on console. It wasn't really that popular in India back then. I absolutely fell in love with this game! Thank you for making this video. It's pure nostalgia for me.
I am not even gonna lie bro you almost had me in tears at the end that was the best game that could have ever ended the SVR series just as Here Comes The Pain ended the Smackdown series and No Mercy with Aki!! You had me holding back the tears of my childhood because I was 11 when this game came out and was in 6th grade and begged my Nanny for it and then I got it and it was my new favorite at the time I played it everyday bro like how people did with Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018 when it first came out!!! I played it until I beat every Road To WrestleMania storyline and then filled up more than over half if the CAW slots and sheww, it was the time of my life and those days I miss you remind me alot of myself as a kid I was in love with my wrestling games I still have them all frome the first Smackdown until present day!!
This is the greatest game of all time hands down. I've had great memories playing as my favourite wrestlers at the time drew McIntyre and Christian in an inferno match with my friends. Those where the days

Holy shit my brain erased that shit show from my memory. I remember the hours I spent in that single match, that was the worst
I never completed that match.
TDSM 99 it would be even worse when you spent a long time in that match and ended up losing so you have to restart the match
Damn you brought a very bad memory 😂
or the match where you had to lose the ecw championship to keep the story going and I just played the match for 40 minutes hitting finishers to william regal refusing to lose the match
Man I remember getting this game back in Christmas of 2010!!
Can you check out my wrestling on my channel and comment on the most recent video I’m doing a contest for a shoutout
There hasn't been since a more fun time then turning on a tlc single match on svr2011 with the dozen of tables and ladders when you start the match. First minute in you've broken dozen of tables in a sexy way, it looks actually real
Nothing since then. Not one thing has been such fun as this, guys. In 11 years.
I’m 27 years old and I still have my psp with allllll the old smackdown vs raw games I love them
The PSP versions had no commentary right? That’s why the soundtracks were burned into my memory forever. PENETRATE MY SKIN SO SENSITIVE MAKES ME SICK
The dynamic physics were also in the day of reckoning games. You could angle slam someone from the top rope onto a table and it would break
ROUGH writing. Yikes
Might as well write in JapaChinese
I remember playing it all the time when i was 6 best game ever ❤
This was the first wwe game i played i remember playing this in psp oh man childhood. I enjoyed so much playing it. I never got bored
This was my first wwe game and omg I’m playing this till this day I love it so much
Damn that kick push instrumental added to the nostalgia of the video

I was in the 7th😭
I was in 4th grade.. i’m a sophomore in college now.
I was 3 when this came out
@@your_boy_jeff_ I was 11 when this came out in 5th grade my wrestling hype was at an all time high at that time.

My first ever WWE game. I LOVED it. After this I bought All Starts, 09,12, 13 and then 19.
You forgot to talk about the main menu music. Still stuck in my head after 10 years++
I'm not even a wrestling fan except from watching the argentinian version of the WWE as a kid and I still play the PSP version of this game everyday at work lmao
Man oh man have WWE games fallen in the past decade.
WWE 13 and 2K14 are great games and 2K19 isn’t bad but the rest are trash
I still can't believe that 2k took over the wwe games and made them suck. Also still can't believe that 2k is allowed to sell games like that and i mean new wwe games
@@graybeans8782 ikr. How is it legal to sell a broken game like wwe 2k20?
Not really,
@@aidenhorton18 Nah 16-19 are more fun than the thq era games even the creation suite is better
When svr 07 came out I asked myself "how are they going to top this? they've reached their peak.."

@@jonhawker6834 You get a life bruh. We ain't even talking about that garbage.

I'm still playing the PSP version
SV11 was my first ever WWE Game back as a kid, and this game literally only made me wanna buy and play WWE Games until 2k16, I played it everyday, allday, standing infront of the TV.
Memories.
I played this game for years and there's things your showing that I didn't know about need 2 play it again
3:24 they foreshadowed the hero story in wwe 12’s RTWM👌🏾💯
Jerry Pierre 😂😂
5:47 why did 2k take this freedom from us
Because you guys complian about it
2K ruined wwe and nba
@@asoomieburner7352 they ruined WWE games, not basketball games. 2K has been better than live since 04
@@yolobri5 Better than ea
@@asoomieburner7352 no they didn't
We need SvR back! Screw 2K. I want SvR 2021 (with NXT, of course.)
SVR featuring NXT instead of ECW.
And bring RTWM back. WWE could make a lot of money if they at least had RTWM as a dlc for a FAIR price.

Man the kick push beat in the background is the most perfect beat for this video
Man I was only 7 years old when I got SmackDown vs Raw 2007, and I got that game in 2009. Now seeing 2011, I really miss playing this game so much 🥺😭
I remember in this game you can put a ladder on your head and use it like a helicopter and attack everyone around you
Something I don't get is why after this game they removed some of the best features from TLC matches and never to be seen again in future wwe games
I wish I could just be a kid all over again I didn’t know life was going to go this fast
Which version did u play
@@lakraswayat the vanilla game, on PS3
This kids, is what wrestling fans grew up with, this is what introduced me to WWE back when it wasn't all talkity talk talk and more of fight.

It's wasn't the last THQ game. Wwe 2k14 was developed by THQ they just changed the name last minute.
Bruh you just showed me how I really took life for granted I was 11 when this game came out I remember getting this the day it came out at Best Buy
