Really nice video! Concise and good information for those new to Dune :) Really nice editing and use of memes aha, and accurate information about the game! Looking forward to more videos you might make on the game, subscribed
Great video, very informative but I believe the devs have already said sand walking won't be included due to it being way too slow. (Which is a bummer)
Only one thing I expect in game which will be quite no for me is PvPvE ... giving the fact I'm working on quite random and prolonged schedule ... just to grind for week for being next week raided to the sand... :/
As someone with a full time job, I share similar concerns. But if you are part of a guild that can protect while you’re away, maybe it won’t be so bad?
I'm sure this won't be an MMO but a server game like Conan Exiles. Funcom+TenCent is making it so that means battle pass, extreme DLC, and charge hundreds and hundreds over a short time. I'm sure it is going to be littered with micro$$$
@@threshiousnot quite. Each “world”. will have multiple maps inside of them. The one with 40+ is the starter map. And it’s going to instanced, probably 10+ per world. So there’s going to be potential for hundreds of players, possibly up to a thousand to meet up.
Ouch. You butchered the Bene Gesserit lore unnecessarily. Would take maybe a sentence more (and a total rewording of what you said) to convey it. Foshame.
@@threshious 1. Bene Gesserit are not set to give birth to daughters. It was a specific instruction towards Jessica this time around, as that was what was required in this generation of the Kwisatz Haderach breeding program. Her daughter was to be schooled by Bene Gesserit, be wed to Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen and instructed to produce A SON - the actual Kwisatz Haderach, who was to be yet again taken by the Bene Gesserit and be raised as a tool. The order itself only accepted women and the Kwisatz Haderach was to be the first and only Bene Gesserit male, as the order's practices were apparently impossible to reconcile with masculinity for some oddball reason. But that didn't preclude them from giving birth to whichever gender they chose (as they could make that decision freely and consciously). 2. The legends spread among the fremen (and other primitive/susceptible populaces) by the Bene Gesserit were not in direct connection to the genetic breeding plan - that was a separate initiative to simply have an easy entrance and immediate sway over those populations. That was the Missionaria Protectiva. In the book (not sure how much the film preserves) Jessica accidentally stumbles upon the hook of "and they will know your ways" when talking with Shadout Mapes and then she and Paul used the planted legends to establish themselves among the fremen. The fact that this time it was used by participants of the genetic breeding program was purely incidental. So, yeah, lore was butchered heavily in your synopsis. And I'm not even that much of a lore expert - I had to look-up the spelling and some forgotten names to make sure I'm not messing it up.
If you’re referring to the BG can only give birth to women thing, that was my bad. Jessica was meant to have a female. If you’re trying to do a deep dive of the breeding program or missionaria protectiva, this is a very light dusting to give people just enough context to unfamiliars so they aren’t totally lost on release. I’m not trying to give people an aneurism unloading Herbert’s entire world in a 15 minute video, especially when most of it may not even be relevant in this new timeline. Thank you for calling it out, Even though I feel like ‘butcher’ is a harsh way to put it.
@@threshious No deep dive was necessary. Just a separation between the breeding program and missionaria protectiva would be sufficient to adhere to lore - you conflated them together hence that was a discrepancy on a similar level to "only give birth to women". But if you moderate my comment out and pretend to come up with the answers on your own... well sucks to be you I guess.
I did not remove any comments. I Tried replying to your comment but by the time I did It was already gone. I have no need to delete comments. I was personally attacked on another video and left all the comments up. You seem like a sad angry person though, you are free to vent on this video though. You can join my guild in Dune Awakening too when it comes out! I'm guessing February or March next year.

Sounds like the game could be really cool. Good video!
Thank you!

They said I think 42 players to a server. So yeah, not like WoW or New World by any means

@@silent_march8130 starting to sound like the pvp region in ESO. It would be interesting to see how many people will be fighting over a spice deposit.

How so?
