This is huge kick in the ass for me! I’m in my instrument training at clover park TC right now and I’ve been slacking but I’ve gotta get my stuff in order! Thanks Garrett
You are so correct Seniority is Everything, loved the video well spoken,I was with Nw/DL for 24+ years so man do I know how Seniority works, hey take care all the best 👍
Nice to see you in a video again. Thank you for reminding me how much I love to travel. It shows how much you love flying as well in your video. I love the transportation to the airport, the improved in now only slightly overpriced airport food and beverage, all the people in the airport love traveling just as much as I do. And of course I love those big two-story jumbo jets then flown me over the pond, to be dropped off in some unexplored destination which is almost beyond words for me. Thanks again for the reminder!
Hi Garrett. Great video, awesome content. Keep the good work. Now I understand how difficult life can be for pilots when they're constanly flying. Stay safe. God bless and protect you always. Lots of blessings for you Bella and Leah🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Who else is here from Liberty University's AVIA350 class? Just FYI, Garrett's channel is awesome. Go check out some of his other videos. They're well done and he covers a ton of topics about the airlines and lifestyle of a pilot!
Im 31 and just got my ppl, i fell inlove with aviation at 27 though. 32 in a couple months and am starting at an academy to fast track the rest, theoretically i should be a captain in perfext world situation by 38-39 at a regional. Who knows when ill make it to a major sadly. Although this late i have no intent on becoming a captain at a major, my goals to grind through then switch to wb and become a senior fo in one hopefully thats possible for me this late though Would u happen to have an opinion or outlook on possibilities starting at a regional at 34, on if wb while having decent to upper seniority is possible within the career span id have left? Thank you! Also when one switches from 320/737 to the 777 does year pay start back at year one on the scale? Or do you start on the new aircraft at your current year ?
How do you feel about Unions in the airline industry? The contracts negotiated between the Company and the Union dictate these rules around seniority that you are discussing. Curious to hear how Unions operate in the airline industry. Thanks.
How is a base "holder" defined? You have gained enough seniority to go to Charlotte but say some one more senior than you decides to move to Charlotte for whatever reason, do you get bumped back down to Philadelphia?
Aviation will be back very soon. Don't worry. Distance in a relationship doesn't matter. There are so many who get married to an army man, and they are happily married. Understanding is most important .
Hey, @flywithgarrett did you finish your degree at Riddle? I'm a Junior at UVU studying Aviation Management and work part-time as a ramper for a Northwest regional. I thought this video was great and gives a lot of BTS to the industry. I'll graduate in Spring of '23 then head straight to flight school. My goal is to be at the airlines at 28. Would love to hear your thoughts on if I should continue on with my degree now, or put in on pause and start flight school full-time.
Sir I have a doubt I m a Indian and I want to become a pilot of air Canada but I have heard that truck drivers earn more than pilots in canada is it true and if it’s true I have many dreams I want to complete there will it be completed if I join that airline and what about it’s salary pls reply Garret

I was hoping no one wanted the international flights so they can stay at home with their wife & kids but I guess I was wrong 😂💀

Great videos ! How long did it take you to be able to hold that base in Charlotte?
Garrett... what is a good compliment that a passenger can give to the Captain?
Way to grease that landing!
Does maintaining captain also include the number of flight hours?

Hey have you and Dad ever flown together?
Just out of curiosity, are visible tattoos allowed ? They aren’t allowed with flight attendants.

6th Comment!!! Yeah, lets go!
Do you bid on what Aircraft and Base you want with real money or are you bidding with your seniority, like setting a checkpoint?
In the video he said seniority
Crazy how It works In the USA, compare to Europe;0)
Garret you’re a handsome guy!
You are my girlfriend's favorite UA-cam channel.
