We had each other in1969 for a year. Her parents came between us. 2024 now. Always thought we would see each other. Found out recently she is no longer on this planet. Sad times. Never a day gone by when I didn't think about her.
The man I was with 45yrs ago said I reminded him of the girl in video and one day he would find me and today were together, I am 65 now ... thanks to FB he found me ✌️❤️
I'm only 19, but have a similar story. In 2002(A few weeks after I was born), I was put into the foster system. I really connected with one (of like 3 or 4) family. There was one of my foster siblings, my sister(12 years older than me, who I connected with more than anyone else. After I moved in with my(eventual) adopted parents, we stayed in contact for until 2013, when we just lost contact. Fast forward 7 years, it's February 2020, I decide that I am going to find them no matter what. I search online, a few websites like whitepages. I found my foster mother. I send a note to her, and wait a month(I wasn't sure if the address was right). I'll never the night I got that first text. So we were texting back and forth, and I ask about my sister, Veronica. I get her house address, and a week later I show up. It was the most beautiful thing thats ever happened to me. It's amazing what a simple song(or 2: Your Wildest Dreams) can do. I can basically pick apart those 2 songs and impliment them into my story. Such as: "The promise that we made each other haunts me till the end..." It was really hard for either of us to leave, so she came up with the saying: Goodbye Doesn't Mean Forever." That's what gave me hope that I'd find her someway.
It's been 45years last time I was with my first love, I found her last year, we are in our 60s now and are happy we found each other, this is the perfect song for us thanks.
@Marty McFly II at first I thought it was John Lodge because he’s the one who grabs the bass at the guitar store however later it looks John and Justin are best buds so I think but it’s just my speculation that it could be a reference to the Moodies first singer Denny Laine. If you look him up in his younger years the actor looks almost identical to a young Denny. But that’s up for debate
Always wondered if there was a connection between this and Wildest Dreams. Watching the two vids back to back has reduced me to silent tears. I think it was Bob Segar that sang "I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then". True word.
Moody Blues are one of the finest bands ever! Shocked that it took so long for HOF induction. They should have been inaugural, or near, members. Anybody agree?
I used to listen to this as a lonely (nerdy) teenager. Found myself & my confidence after leaving high school (hell) & met the man of my dreams in a love-at-first-sight moment. I found him. Still married 25 yrs later. ❤️
Dad, why didn’t I appreciate this music with you ? Why is this hitting me like a dart to the heart ? What I wouldn’t give to be with you in your truck listening to the Moody Blues. 💔. I miss you and now I understand this song. RIP!
I never paid much attention to the Moody Blues. After my husband passed away, when I went to pickup his death certificate, I stopped at a bbq restaurant afterwards and they were playing this song. Also, when I went to the bank to take him off my accts, while the rep went to make copies, I heard this song playing again. Both were very difficult things i I had to do. I felt like it was him comforting my pain. He’s out there somewhere…❤
The best band ever!!!!! They are in a orbit of there own!!!! My God, Justin's voice is like angels singing!!! Finally they are The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!! ❤❤❤❤...💙💙💙💙💙.....
This song reminds me of my story. I met this boy in school and fell for him at first sight, at the age of 10. I kept it a secret. We never talked and never saw each other, again, after we turned 18 and graduated, but he was always in the back of my mind, for 35 yrs., me always wondering where he ended up. We reconnected almost 3 yrs ago and have been together since.
In grade school, My friend and I used to make fun of his father for liking the Moody Blues. Now here I am 30+ years later appreciating every bit of them.
My Avril left here in 1971 Aged just twenty two. It's been forty three years. I have loved and missed you every single second of my life. One day soon I will meet my beautiful soul mate again. Just to see the smile in your eyes. I know you're out there somewhere. I love you xxx
Absolutely brilliant song. Wish I can hear things like this on the radio again rather than the Top 40 tripe we currently have today. No "sexy" backup dancers, no mediocre lead singers being half-naked or posing nude every damn time, all I need is just the singer/s and their voice/s. Take me back.
This song is so powerful! I met the love of my life in 1996. We eventually fell in love. We broke up in 2002 and it was the absolute lowest point of my life! We were out of each other's lives for 8 long years. I thought of her every day! She eventually ended up in a dead end marriage and only stayed married for her kids. I myself had a messy failed engagement, and one dead end relationship after another. We reconnected in 2010 and fell in love all over again. Fast forward to 2020. We are still together and going strong. This song was my inspiration to never give up on true love! Antonietta I love you! The message here is never give up on love! If it feels right it's because it is! In the end guys love conquers all! We are living proof of that! Never give up! Fight for the one you love! I sure did!
So you're her children's step-father? Thats great that you reconnected. I actually met the most important person in my life in 02(When I was born). She was the older sister I never had(She's 12 years older). I was put in foster care at 6 weeks old, and her family took care of me from then til the day before I turned 2. We stayed in contact for 9 years after(2013), but then lost contact. 7 years later I looked her up online, found 3 phone numbers an email and a house address. 3 wrong numbers, a wrong email, and a letter sent I got my response. She has 3 young children and was going through a divorce. Now I'm the uncle of her children, and have called her frequently. I takes one note to completely change your life Don't give up that chance. Thats what I get from this song(and Your Wildest Dreams).
Great story Scott, I am in the same boat and understand exactly what you mean. Her and I have chatted now and then and a piece of my heart belongs to BK. I am now 63 and her 62 but when we were 16 and 17 what a ride!! Love ya BK
I've played this so many times I still get a thrill when I see the Scooters and of course the Morris Minor, I"m sure I saw a Hillman as well. Plase dont berate a 75 year old man if I'm wrong.
Lost my girl when she moved to Florida at the end of High School. Took some time and some bad years alone but I got her back and we have been married 27 years now. This song and Your Wildest Dreams helped when help was needed the worst. Thanks MB!
absolutely love the Moody Blues. Under-rated band that deserved so much more appreciation- but I think they are getting it now, finally. Justin Hayward is genus
Yes, I think they are getting the appreciation now that they so deserve. There were many rock bands. The Moody Blues are the ones for me. No other can replace these great guys.
Why? Because real music is timeless. This is real music, played by real people with real talent, with lyrics that actually make sense and invoke real feelings.
I am an Englishman aged 76 who has always enjoyed the music scene and as a 17-year-old had the pleasure of seeing the Rolling Stones play at the Marquee Club in London on 12 July 1962 at their first performance just after they were formed and shortly afterwards at Studio 51 in Great Newport Street when Mick Jagger bought me a Coca-Cola at the bar being a poor student. However, my interest suddenly changed to the newly formed Beatles when I saw them playing in the Finsbury Park Astoria on Christmas Eve 1963 and again on December 11, 1965 and guess who else was playing alongside the Beatles - THE MOODY BLUES, I was blown away and from that day to this, now living in Telemark Norway I follow the Moodys all the time. I was a regular attendee to all their UK concerts including St Davids Hall Cardiff Wales on 26 September 2006 and lucky enough to be sitting with my wife in the front row from the stage at the Royal Albert Hall London in their recorded two- and half-hour performance on 6 October 2008 and I saw them for the last time at the Bristol Hippodrome UK on 22 September 2010. Then they seemed to disappear to the USA but they will always be in my heart and soul - the world's best ever!
I’ve seen their concerts in Cali and Vegas a long time ago. It was a surreal experience that I’ll never forget. I adore that group. I’m 68 now. Still love that music it’s timeless.
This song holds very dear to my deceased fiance and I (one month since his passing). It contains a lot of hidden meaning and special memories for both of us! Love you Steve!
Oh my - sorry to say I share your loss and your pain. My Marsha and I so enjoyed both "Your Wildest Dreams" and this song, which seems to 'bookend' it; she went off-planet unexpectedly 7 months ago. Marsha I know you're out there and that my Grandmom is taking good care of you - I'm never giving up - and somewhere I will return to you. Until we're reunited, we'll have the ultimate long-distance relationship
Thanks to all for the sincere wishes! It's been over a year now since my blessed Steve's passing, am glad I got to sing this song to him before Jesus greeted him!
I am not the kind of person who falls in love again with past lovers and I don’t regret having „lost“ them. But I do believe that „I know you’re out there somewhere“ and „somehow I’ll return again to you“ could also refer to two souls who are meant to be together but haven’t met yet in this life.
this recording & video truly is a chapter in this Old Guy's life. My lovely girlfriend, eventually for 7 years, and I had special box seats for the Moody Blues concert when this song and it's album were new. I was employed by a large regional album cut FM rock station back then. That's how we were so fortunate for the special concert seating. This specific song and it's related, "In your wildest dreams," truly encapsulate the story between my lovely young girlfriend & me so many years ago.
In November of 2012, I was on assignment in Tucson, AZ., I normally attend church if I'm to be there longer than a week. I went to the church that I had attended on previous trips. I noted one of those "Have You Seen Me" posters on the door, it had a young girl's picture on it. As the Mass ended a young couple and their two sons were escorted to the front of the church. The priest stated that the were to leave that Monday for New York City, to be on one of the morning news programs. They were going to appeal to the country for the return of their daughter. I walked out to the car, strapped in, started the engine and turned on the radio. This song came on and my understanding completely changed. As I sat there, realizing what the song was about, I started to cry, not just tears, I sobbed. I Cried for that little girl, her family, for all those who had left home, never to return. Just how long I cried, I don't know, but I was pretty much alone in the parking lot. I will never forget what I'm reminded of when I hear this song, or that it now brings tears every time I hear it.
My ex husband, recalls this song/words, always reminded him, of me. Our divorce was sad, tragically unnecessary. Look after the person in your life. Don't be selfish, violent, or take them for granted. Doesn't pay.
I remember back in the early 70's, smoking a joint and listening to the Moody Blues with headphones. Their music was out of this world. Should be in the HOF!
The Moody Blues, The Dooby Brothers, Chicago, America 🇺🇸 , Hall & Oates, Queen 👸 , The Eagles 🦅, The Beach Boys ⛱ , The Bee 🐝 Gees, The Beatles 🪲, The Monkees 🐒 & many other groups & artists 🎨 from the 60s through to the 90s, the best time to be alive 👀👍❗
I watch this and the accompanying video frequently. It speaks to my first and only true love which I squandered. Was lucky enough to see her at our 50 year reunion last year. Susie, I will always love you and wish you happiness!
I had a poster of Justin Hayward on my wall when I was a teenager. He was just always so handsome... beautiful voice too. Loved them from the first time my sister played me Nights in White Satin. It was a on an lp she had. Love it.
This song always reminded me of my high school sweetheart. We reconnected after 47 years--the love for each other was still strong. We're married now and are happily living and loving!
I married my college sweetheart in 1973 and through a series of unfortunate events, we split after less than two years. My heart was shattered, but it made me a much better person. And, I learned that true love never dies. Fast forward 43 years: we reconnected and with 7 children and 16 grandkids between us, we were remarried in 2016!! As long as I breathe I will love her!!
One of the most fabulous groups ever formed; Justin keeps going - I have loved the Moody Blues from the 1960's forward, awesome albums, so many great songs; Hayward is brilliant
I'm 69 now an Realize the rest of us from those DayZ have Lived Probably the Best Yrs an times that This Country has ever Been through! Referring to Great Music an Easier times to be alive!
I met my first love 34 years ago and love scared me so much I broke things off. I never stopped loving her nor did I stop looking for her once I realized she was the one. After bad marriages on both our parts, I finally found her again. We are now still just as in love as ever. Thank you Moody Blues for summing up our lives in your great music.
I just got back from a 2 2eweek holiday in New Orleans with the love of my life that I spoke of before. While we were nervous at first, everything fell into place. It was like the 34 year ::gap in our lives never existed. Call it what you will, but I credit the Moody Blues for bringing our love back stronger than ever.
Still watching in 2022! Didn't know this song's video was part 2 of the story in the clip from "Your Wildest Dreams"! Loved this song for more than 17 years and never saw the video till today!
I still remember the very first time I ever heard this song in 1988. I can't think of another song that has impacted me as much as this one. I was 11 years old on an airplane flying from Miami to Toronto. During the flight they played the song several times and I absolutely fell in love with it. The lyrics were so beautiful and felt so meaningful to me. They still do. The melody has haunted my dreams ever since then. At 11 years old it made me think of my "one true love" and that he was out there somewhere and somehow, someday we would find each other. Thank you for such beautiful music. 🎶❤🥰😊
My parents listened to this era Moody Blues as well as their live album at Red Rocks constantly when I was growing up. It's very nostalgic for me for that reason, but it's incredible music regardless.
At this point I have to send a big compliment to the world of men. The best music of the 60s / 70s was composed, sung and played almost exclusively by men. Men are wonderful in music. and in general. we love you for it and say thank you.
As a qualified representative of the World of Men and a nominally astute, yet not professional musician, I am pleased to join you in full agreement of your most excellent supposition and would add it is most appropriate to post it in a Moody Blues commentary. Kudos!
This is life in most cases, and, songs like this certainly don't help. ;-) Emotion in Motion by Ric Ocasek is another song that reminds of someone I will always love till the end of time. Ah, the difficulty of youth.
I'm a Widower. My wife died young. She's still my one & only. Though this song puts me in tears, I never turn it off. I know we'll meet again, & that will be a happy day. Until then, this is an anthem, of sorts, for me. Awesome Song!!!

100 years from now someone will look back at the 70s and 80s and realize they were one of the most coolest times in history
You so right history
I'd say mid 60's to early 80's but the Moody's are timeless & thus fit into ever ear of mankind. The Moddy's will be relevant in 100,000 years.

The Moody Blues are likely one of the most underrated bands of all time. Such talent!
Oh no, here in America, we always knew they were a superior UK band.
Underrated is the most overused word in YT cpmments.
In the '80s we considered them the "best" band remaining from the '60s, so I don't know how underrated they were then...maybe now.

We had each other in1969 for a year. Her parents came between us. 2024 now. Always thought we would see each other. Found out recently she is no longer on this planet. Sad times. Never a day gone by when I didn't think about her.

The Golden Age of Music!! Can't get enough of these guys!!

The music of the 80's was so magical. This is one of the best examples of that.
The man I was with 45yrs ago said I reminded him of the girl in video and one day he would find me and today were together, I am 65 now ... thanks to FB he found me ✌️❤️
That's so awesome..
God bless you.
@@walleclyde8759 I am very happy for you Walle!
@@kentbrown6313 Thanks man. I hope you have and/or find someone like my Veronica.
2021... and this song is still PURE MAGIC!!! 🎶💖🎶
Agreed
I was looking for my soul mate every time I played this song. I found him March 23, 2020. Love you forever Mike.
Agree with you ✌🏻💖
I know too
Moody Blues IS Magic!
It's been 45years last time I was with my first love, I found her last year, we are in our 60s now and are happy we found each other, this is the perfect song for us thanks.

A great sequel to “Your Wildest Dreams”. Glad he finally had her back.
True word.
I'm here 2021
Moody Blues are one of the finest bands ever! Shocked that it took so long for HOF induction. They should have been inaugural, or near, members. Anybody agree?
@Marty McFly II Thanks for asking this....I've always wondered why they put that 'side story' into that video.
Who grew up in 80s watching this vid?❤️this tune. 🤙
I used to listen to this as a lonely (nerdy) teenager.
Found myself & my confidence after leaving high school (hell) & met the man of my dreams in a love-at-first-sight moment.
I found him. Still married 25 yrs later. ❤️
They finally made the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Way over due!
I know, I know, should've been a long time ago. I voted...whenever I could...
Far better late than never.
Way, way overdue...
They should have been inducted in the '90's?
it's always the best & underrated performers who take the longest.
Dad, why didn’t I appreciate this music with you ? Why is this hitting me like a dart to the heart ? What I wouldn’t give to be with you in your truck listening to the Moody Blues. 💔. I miss you and now I understand this song. RIP!
at the time,we were invicible, protected by our shell, now time as passing by,,our heart's open up,then we realize the precious time we lost with them.
Linda - after all these years, I still love you. I know you're out there somewhere.
I'm not overly emotional but this song always brings a tear to my eye. Reminds me of friends and family that have past on.
I believe we all have someone out there somewhere. Hope springs eternal.
@@allenblum6257 that's very true i believe that allen.
The Bible says and in that day all tears will be dried, no more separation from those we've loved, and even death will be defeated. I'm betting on it.
The best band ever!!!!! They are in a orbit of there own!!!! My God, Justin's voice is like angels singing!!! Finally they are The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!! ❤❤❤❤...💙💙💙💙💙.....
Agree with you! My favorite song is Tuesday Afternoon. Justin is great musician and artist! 👍🏴
Omg. S
Awesome!
@Kristy McGraw... So happy for you!!
Aww thats a beautiful love story ❤️
So sweet. 💙
That's so beautiful 💖
The Voice, Your Wildest Dreams and I Know youre Out There Somewhere what a great triology.
Add Knights in White Satin and I don't care what cards you're holding, I'll play that hand.
Very well said.
Sadly the lead singer was convicted of selling narcotics to grade schoolers.
i've been here all this time.
Cheers to the 80’s when I discovered the Moodies and they added a whole new fan base
This song is my favorite of the Moody Blues. A great song. Love this band. They are one of a kind. No one can match them.
I am 73 years old and this is my favorite band
We all need to hear about things like this
I am happy for you! That is a beautiful story! I wish you both all the best.
Great story Scott, I am in the same boat and understand exactly what you mean. Her and I have chatted now and then and a piece of my heart belongs to BK. I am now 63 and her 62 but when we were 16 and 17 what a ride!! Love ya BK
Oh man you are so looking, I'm still searching for that lost love from my past.
I've played this so many times I still get a thrill when I see the Scooters and of course the Morris Minor, I"m sure I saw a Hillman as well. Plase dont berate a 75 year old man if I'm wrong.

This song strikes a feeling in my heart 😢❤
My first love is still out there. We were just children and good friends as far as everyone else knew. I have missed you D.H. .
REST IN PEACE RAY THOMAS....WE KNOW YOUR OUT THERE....
I like how this video is a continuation of In Your Wildest Dreams with the memory of the girl.
I've always loved this song. For me, it was true, my "someone" was out there. My wife and I are celebrating 37 years of marriage next week.
Terrific
GOD BLESS YOU and KEEP YOU - May all your dreams come true!
Lost my girl when she moved to Florida at the end of High School. Took some time and some bad years alone but I got her back and we have been married 27 years now. This song and Your Wildest Dreams helped when help was needed the worst. Thanks MB!

WOW, GREAT STORY, BUDDY! 🥂🥂

Awesome!
Wow congratulations man!
absolutely love the Moody Blues. Under-rated band that deserved so much more appreciation- but I think they are getting it now, finally. Justin Hayward is genus
Hello Marie
Yes, I think they are getting the appreciation now that they so deserve. There were many rock bands. The Moody Blues are the ones for me. No other can replace these great guys.
I've been saying for eons just that. He's the most underappreciated songwriter.
I know Rock and Roll started in the U. S, but, as an American, I must say I love the British acts so much more than all the others.
"To put right, that once went wrong."
Why is Moody Blues ALWAYS SO Mesmerizing, like falling into a different universe & never wanting to leave?
Best description I think I've heard.
Why? Because real music is timeless. This is real music, played by real people with real talent, with lyrics that actually make sense and invoke real feelings.
Wow.
great band not appreciated as much as they should be. They were so ahead of their time. great music never dies it just gets better with time passage.
Only a jaded heart could dislike this song! EVERYONE has a love that got away or one we stupidly lost....PVT I know you're out there somewhere....
They don't make this stuff anymore!! Too bad. Wow, REAL voices! How refreshing.
Remember when music was inspiring?
Yes!
Yes, every decade of it.
Yes. But we get this instead.

This song is an absolute masterpiece I like it better now than when it first came out,
Like what was I thinking back then
I’ve seen their concerts in Cali and Vegas a long time ago. It was a surreal experience that I’ll never forget. I adore that group. I’m 68 now. Still love that music it’s timeless.
After twenty-five years, I found her. And it's better than ever.

This song holds very dear to my deceased fiance and I (one month since his passing). It contains a lot of hidden meaning and special memories for both of us! Love you Steve!
Please accept my deepest condolences.
How sad. Im so very sorry.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Thanks to all for the sincere wishes! It's been over a year now since my blessed Steve's passing, am glad I got to sing this song to him before Jesus greeted him!
I’ve probably been to over a hundred different concerts over the years and they were by far the best live.
Saw them 3 times. Absolutely the best with an orchestra
I am not the kind of person who falls in love again with past lovers and I don’t regret having „lost“ them. But I do believe that „I know you’re out there somewhere“ and „somehow I’ll return again to you“ could also refer to two souls who are meant to be together but haven’t met yet in this life.
I invariably get goosebumps whenever I listen to this. It's a masterpiece.
Incomparable heard live in concert.
One of Justin's top faves to play.
Goosebumps or tears.
This is one of my psalms to YAHUAH, the source of all!
this recording & video truly is a chapter in this Old Guy's life.
I miss last century! FOR REAL!
Sometimes songs hit us in unexpected ways. What you felt at that time is touching. Hope they(the family)found her OK.
@@mtull6309 I still feel it...every time I listen to this song. For all those who have left home, never to return, my tears were for them as well.
My ex husband, recalls this song/words, always reminded him, of me. Our divorce was sad, tragically unnecessary. Look after the person in your life. Don't be selfish, violent, or take them for granted. Doesn't pay.
Why do most of us only learn this lesson after it's too late?
I remember back in the early 70's, smoking a joint and listening to the Moody Blues with headphones. Their music was out of this world. Should be in the HOF!

Awh, very well said😍
I still remember the very first time I ever heard this song in 1988. 🎶❤🥰😊
Amazing just so many wonderful comments and I agree what a song and what a band
Kudos!
This is by far the best shoulda, woulda, coulda video and song in history.
This is such an emotive song. It calls out to everyone who let someone go in the past and has lived to regret it.
Basically a good tune, as always form the Moody Blues. Justin Hayward never fails. Never realised the impact, but there it is...
This is life in most cases, and, songs like this certainly don't help. ;-) Emotion in Motion by Ric Ocasek is another song that reminds of someone I will always love till the end of time. Ah, the difficulty of youth.
Nope it helped me find my beautiful woman Autumn who I love.
It’s calling out to me and my soul mate Sifey, it’s too late, but I know you’re out there, and I still love you
