We had a go on each others bikes last week and both of us were shocked how much difference it makes, bar end weights are most likely gunna be my next purchase
For anyone worried about the weight, you don't really feel it at all when moving. I own a Bandit 650, which is 248kg kerb weight, and you still don't notice it.
I think a heavy bike makes it more stable which is nice when you are cruising at 110km/h. The bike is unphased by the wind or bumps and kinda just plows though. Also a little smoother over bumps. It's the same thing comparing a 25kg ebike to a 15kg pedal bike.
I mean there’s bikes that are like 30 kg less then this in the same category and handles just as good tbh but its still a very good bike it’s just a bit heavier then most of the other bikes in it’s category 👍
How do you like the asv levers. I don't know if I'm ready to drop like $250 on the levers yet. I got an akrapovic exhaust and it is the best investment so far.
I really like my ASV leavers! They look a lot better and also feel a lot better, you have also got a lot more customisation with how far away they are from your hands but yes they are very expensive! Just bought a 23 cbr650r - my second bike but also my “lifetime bike”. It’s incredibly versatile as it certainly could be considered a first bike for someone mature enough but it also has 155+ top speed! I did a lot of research and “need” evaluation before buying. While the cb650r (naked version) is indeed a bit more comfy and upright the cbr is about as comfortable as you can get on a sport bike. If you’re going to be exclusively “in town” the naked bike might be the way to go. But if you’re going to do a lot of freeway riding where you’ll need an “extended cruising speed” of 75 to 85+ you might want the cbr. While they have the same engine they aren’t “geared” exactly the same and the fairings do make a difference as well. Hope you have a great experience!

I must admit it a little scary at first but it’s the same with anything, the more you practice the easier and more confidence you will have with it. My first bike is aprilia rs 50, my second bike is a 21 cbr 650r! Great bike, but not for longer trips.
Good choice in bikes! And with comfort wise I think the more you ride it the more you get use to it
what looks better? 500r or 650r?
Comes down to personal opinion but I prefer the 650r looks

Too scared I’ll kill myself or worse end up paralyzed, but I’ll forever fantasize about owning one
If your sensible enough you will be absolutely fine, it’s only as quick as you make it. If you own a car it can probably do 140mph but doesn’t mean you drive that quick.
