Got the CBR650R '23 In March
I'm 37
Insurance I got for about 850 via Hastings
Bike is on PCP (sports pack but otherwise completely stock parts) with a 2000 deposit
Monthly is £117
Fuel is maybe £40 a month
Tax is as you say in the vid.
Recent 600 mile service at the dealer was 144 but I added a tracker which was 99 instal and 109 for a years subscription.
I think that's basically it for anyone interested. Happy to answer anything others are curious about.

Hi thanks for the review im due to do my direct access in August. and like you iv been pondering and I keep getting drawn back to the bike you have (love the colour) Honda CBR650R :) Question What do you think of the Honda CBR650 F ? thanks keep riding be safe :)
I replied on another video but just incase you miss it I'll say it again. They are the same bike, but the 650f is a slightly older design. Most if not all I say about this bike applies to that one aswell. The differences are minor. If you find a great deal on a cbr650f I would say go for it! Just on the insurance topic, wanna hear something kinda effed up?
My CBR500R cost MORE to insure than my CBR650R, by a noticeable difference of about $120 Canadian per year.
Only thing my agent could think of for a reason was that the 500 is classified as a beginner bike, so they have more claims from people dropping/crashing them. The 650 is classified as a Sport/Touring bike and she mentioned that was also a reason.
I laughed, told her "in theory" the 500 tops out at 186km/h and the 650 hits over 110km/h in FIRST, again in theory......
That is very interesting! I would never have guessed.
Finally had a test ride on Saturday on the CBR650R, loved it but noted two things: shifting down on the quickshifter didn't feel great, sometimes it was instant other times it felt like the ECU was waiting for a window to make the shift, you have to hold it until the bike is ready. The second one was that the bike felt gutless after 60mph for a 4 cyl. Everything else about the bike felt amazing.
The quickshiter is only up though
@@WorgiiVEVO I did a test ride on new CBR650R at the local Honda dealership and the sales guy said it was fitted with a quickshifter up and down, I know the older models had up only - perhaps up and down is new for 2023? or perhaps the sales guy is an idiot and this is why I thought downshifts were rubbish lol - The MT-09 SP down blipper was a work of art approaching a roundabout!
Shame about the quickshifter, mine does not have one so I can't comment. As for the power/speed, i'm surprised it felt gutless after 60.....that seems so early. It 100% does have a week midrange you are right. From 80-95mph the power is non-existent 🤣, but 100+ it kicks back in!! Good job going for the test ride, anyone can say whatever, but at least now you know 🙂.

Yeah same down here in essex now. I think my average price was for the UK instead of just England, i think some of the lower fuel prices in Scotland brought the figure down 🤣.

Bruh the cost of maintenance is costing as much as the bike itself 😢
Regular and thorough maintenance works out cheaper than repair work. But yeah it still does cost a bit 😅. Any thing bigger than a 125cc is gonna be a bit pricey to maintain lol.
@@tvtwistasmoto Yes however honda is known for its reliability and cheap maintenance. Though I am a bit surprised about the cost mentioned over here
a main fairing from Honda costs £530 plus 30 minutes labour, very steep!

Yeahh.... my total for the first year is around 11,000 so I ended up in the high end :( at least the bike is 2023 haha
I mean, 11,000 for having a brand new bike in the 1st year is amazing. I got a crappy 2019 and I still was over 10k 😭.
