Finally getting 4 cylinder 47 hp Kubota L4701 with 119 hrs from dealer. Adding 10k of options. Adding led lights and canopy. Problems with getting brackets. It's taken for ever for dealer shop to get all the options installed. Takes a week to get in shop, shop has problem, order more stuff another week goes by. Then wait a week to get it in shop. Interesting to see that the loader operator seemed to be checking cumulative loading, then spilling excess. Something I wish was more common with local suppliers.
Chris that is like the limestone quarries around here. Vulcan materials is who runs most all the limestone quarries here in Alabama. But we do have an independent red Rock quarry and I think red Rock is great for driveways . But that base you put down is good also just more costly
I worked at a Foundry in Illinois for 38 years and retired two weeks ago last Monday. I am pretty sure I made the cores for the rear casting on that Cat Loader. I know our company made the casting. Nothing to do with that neat bucket but I thought it was interesting enough to mention.
BIL has 5 acres down there someplace. The drive does a bit of an S so you can't even see the road past the treeline. Back at the house it's dead quiet and you can't see neighbors or hear road traffic.
I do believe that's the first smooth edge spade nose bucket I've seen. All the ones out west have big teeth. So I'm guessing where you're at they don't have the typical pit run like we do here in Jpaydirt country? Just curious because the material you were using we call crusher reject or pipe bedding material. Usually we use pit run for filler because it is cheaper and has better drainage qualities. Great video Chris!
Glad replayed the start, thought you said 60" pipe!! Know you can, but what for!!! So homelessness could move into it. Here in California Homeless move into anything they can crawl into, no matter how Danderous. Sad Very Sad.

I have noticed, in several videos, you putting in the pipe to connect the driveway. My question, do you have to be bonded in N.C. In order to get the encroachment permit from D.O.T. ? In Kentucky, before I was given a permit, I had to provide the pipe, but the State Highway Department completed the connection. Had I chose to install it myself, I would have had to post a bond, which was an unbelievable amount. Anyone who knows the answer, please comment. Thanks.
If I had the money to drive out there and prove that someone could get through that road as it is in this video I would. Lol. And if I couldnt it would still be a fun day anyways. Lol. But love the videos man. Lime seeing all the different projects you get to work on. You do great work.
Yup, loaders and excavators and rocks and logs tend to hit the top edge of the bed, and the wood protects both the bed, and the cylinders on the loaders lol

That second loader operator wasn't that good. He might not have known how to use the scale on the loader. I wish they would have had one of those when I was running loader.
That's a very fine material, it would blow out going down the road, and people don't generally like their cars getting sandblasted, especially not law enforcement! Lol
Damn those piles are really high. Nice to see a change of perspective, thanks for recording the trip through the quarry, it was super cool to see.

It is good to have a scale in the bucket.

18" double wall- I put 580' in on my farm for water control. Also 3x3 catch basins.

Interesting bucket on the Cat loader with the vee shaped cutting edge.
easier to fill the bucket, takes less force.
