- This truck was going a little too fast on the ice and lost control. Luckily no one got hurt when he crashed into the shoulder, but the truck did receive some damage. So I brought the @zackliftinternational4841 out to get is truck straightened back around and pulled up onto the road

Lucky there was no traffic while you were doing the pull. Everything went just like you planned it to go. Couldn't have been any smoother equipment wise and you did the pull without any additional tractor damage. First rate save for the customer.
Don’t worry, I damaged the shit out of the next truck I recovered 😂
@@CaseyLaDelle You never said that you were good at this...
@@CaseyLaDelle😂oh no!! Lol
If at all they stop the traffic at the entry junction only 😂😂😂

I just turned 55.
This channel is my new Mr . Roger's in the morning.
Mr. CASEY'S neighborhood.
Just need a Finnegan
Mr dress up with Casey and Finnegan
I’m not 55, but 75 and love to watch Casey’s recoveries. He is so talented, with his new truck and its capabilities, it’s very exciting.
@@MyCMB77I turn 75 in July and really enjoy Casey's recoveries. Not sure if this recovery was out US 20 towards Burns, but I drove through there on my way to Boise in the snow last March.
It's therapuetic, educational, and relaxing all at the same time🥰
Hell yeah love seeing the Zacklift at work helping stranded truckers out of there predicament! Stay safe Casey and have a wonderful day.
I'm always amazed at the versatility of the Zacklift! Outstanding and safe job, Casey. 👍
Their lifts are amazing!
Those lifts came a long way from what they use to be.
Old truck driver saying only hero’s drive on ice with know chains
Always a good day seeing the Zach lift at work.
Glad the driver was okay!
Looks like a sleeper team... Glad BOTH were ok
He didn't crash, merely slid off the road 😂
With every pull, we get to see just how awesome the Zacklift is. Awesome pull Casey, well done.
I'll guess Zacklifts is getting a lot of good advertising from Casey's channel.
You must remember, that it is Casey's knowledge that makes the difference. Someone who would take less care in not damaging the rigs would not have had such a good outcome!
"I wish the temperature would go back down" Finally, someone gets it & understands the different levels of ice how the temperature affects it especially around that 27degree mark
Can you explain what you mean please - here in the UK we have no idea what cold really is.
@@alanclarke2524 at around freezing there's water on the ice, it's not as bad frozen harder than with water on it, plus the snow is firmer and better traction
@@alanclarke2524 it's not completely frozen & it takes too long for the water to freeze on the roads at the warmer temps and as a driver you want the temps to drop so the ice will become sticky... but that works both ways, on the way down when it freezes and on the way up while it is thawing
Basically there is still a layer of water on top making it very, very slippery where as once it freezes the ice is sticky and its basically like driving on dry pavement - if you watch water turn to ice freeze in your freezer you can see the same effect/different stages & feel of the ice
@@alanclarke2524 it's why the UK grinds to a halt when we get a little icy weather. When the road is just below freezing and you get some rain or it just starts to melt, you get this wet slick ice which has very little grip.
Also we (UK) seem to *need* super big alloy wheels and tyres suitable for 168mph (v or w rating). Rubber is too hard when cold (4⁰C) and just bands of rubber. Hence why there is talk of mid European winter tyres designed for slush and this kind of cold.
@@GavinEarnshaw Sounds like that tire change might be a really good idea!
Thank you for bringing us along for the ride Casey. Much appreciated.
You do such a good job of narrating and explaining everything you do, Casey. Always enjoy your vids!
I’m sure it was by design but the Zacklift has taken the content to a whole new level. Well done!
Ice storm and almost-ice-storm conditions catch loads of people out. Your truck stood beautifully firm in that recovery.
VERY professional and done without drama or self praise. All praise goes to his equipment and the driver's ability to follow instructions. Great people skills.
I do believe that a lot of praise goes to the operator of that great equipment too.
It is good to see how methodical you are with sizing up a rescue, running your lines, setting up cones, putting things away when finished, and figuring out how a vehicle will move when hooked up. Casey, we all learn from how you do your job and your knowledge about trucks and the geometry about moving them is amazing. Great job.
That was really well executed, and went really well, that Zacklift is a heck of a piece of equipment, and you have the experience and skill to make it work, a great combination. I love seeing videos like this.
You can tell he has trucking experience, makes a difference.
I am glad to see you getting plenty of work
I’m gonna need a vacation after watching you work so hard this winter….
Hint, not anywhere that there's snow!
Well done Casey. I am dealing with deep snow sub zero and a slow leak tire today here on Manitoulin Island. Ontario Canada . The Frozen banana Republic.😂😂😂❤
Low tire pressure will give better traction.... you must have the new smart tires I heard about 😅
I have been there before, on our way to Cockburn Island.
You have deep snow in Manitoulin? Heck hardly any here in the Soo! Man I hope there isn’t much snow west of Gore Bay it won’t be good for the deer!
@@RNP69 sounds mighty painful
Another amazing recovery as always. Great job Casey...
I like how you’re putting on lots of video content… you’re subscribers are coming on up too… you definitely deserve it…thanks buddy…
Casey again your skills with whatever rescue truck you are using is what is needed for these stranded drivers. Love the hockey puck lights!
That Zacklift is one of the most capable conversion units of any kind that I've ever seen! The remote is irreplaceable and makes all so much more adaptable to the situation! I really enjoy watching you solve these problems, even when you select what perhaps was the wrong vehicle for the job!
Your state got really hit hard with that ice storm. this is keeping all wreckers busy. Good job Casey getting him out!
Must say Casey has his new setup dialed in 😊.

Only 9 out of 10 today, Casey.
You lost a point for forgetting the free spool!!
Seriously though, I've only recently discovered your videos and I'm thoroughly enjoying them.
A little trick I was taught in the army with all D shackles and pullies was to snug up and slightly loosen. This will stop them from tightening under strain.
The army was wrong. Don’t do that.
@@CaseyLaDelle And why is the army wrong? Ive been doing it for over 20 years with no binding up on recovery gear and will continue to do so. Im sure the army has been doing it longer than you. if you are going to put someone's suggestion down without an explanation, you should elaborate. Placing a recovery hook facing down will cause it to dig in or grab on anything it passes over. This is wrong. Dont do that.
We've all been doing it this way . 40 yrs for me, but I'm stupid just ask Casey
One Man Recovery.. Awesome Job Casey
That Zach Lift is paying for itself.
Perfect combo.. you, the truck, and the Zach Lift

I've had one for many years and they are brilliant, as they also have a recharging facility if you insert rechargeable batteries - unlike the alkaline one's I currently have had in mine, for some 15 - 20 years now - (and they're still usable as the LED's take very little current to operate).
I recently discovered an auction on Trade Me (a New Zealand, Australia - and looks like it's going all over the world now too - that started life as a local auction website), some six & eight pack toolboxes, that are fully rechargeable from the vehicle's electrics or from general household power, but as I am not into much driving now that I have a wheelchair & prosthetic leg etc., I haven't bought a pack yet, which I think everyone should look into getting, if doing a lot of snow & ice - high country &/or deep-inland off-road driving...
ie:
Such as this Six Pack:
www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/safety/listing/4542002361
Many different websites have a lot of varieties, but they all do the same single thing, they alert other drivers to a roadside crash or accident site, or other "on-&-off" road driving hazard, long before they arrive at the actual site.
I've even put them on top of cars I have long-rope flat-towed, as well as on top of my own "A-Framed second vehicle", that I (as a single / on own driver) needed to tow somewhere or to bring back, without driving it myself.?
How does one person drive two vehicles eh ??
So yeah, I made my own A-Frame away back in 2002 when I bought a 1996 Delica 4wd Van - and still had my smaller (1st Gen Delica) Colt T-120-Y flat-deck truck, that I frequently flat-towed via A-Frame, around the farm colleting gates and or firewood etc., or flat-towed it for miles at a time - getting stuff from here to there & back again, just because I could..
My longest trip was in late 2003, when I flat towed it all the way to (AND BACK FROM), a sawmill in Tapanui, West Otago NZ, (taking the shortcut over the top of the Moa Flat hills) where I overloaded it with about 1.5 ton of macrocarpa beams etc, when we did our major house alterations here in Roxburgh, with the Colt, (no one inside) being A-Frame flat towed behind the Delica 4wd Van, after being fully bedded down onto it's suspension blocks, and with the over inflated tires, almost running flat?
I dragged that sucker there and back without a sweat as if it were a mere trailer, as that was what I used it as, long enough with front to back load bars to sit it all upon.
I have a video somewhere (on my main channel via www.L84DNR.co.nz ) that displays the old 1978 Colt - as I sold it here back in March 2017 ?
Gezzsh all that long ago...
And it still ran - with no maintenance done.

Hey. We use those hockey puck lights for laying out landing zone for medi-vac helicopters on auto accident sites. Cool.
Best invention ever, eh?
Was the blue light working?
I was going to ask that question as well.......Never saw any flashes from the blue puck@@bobspackman6694

I subbed years ago for the off-road recovery, but now am stoked when I see a heavy wrecker ice recovery. It’s some of my favorite content. Content I never knew I needed. Thanks a bunch, Casey. Another perfect video.
I’ve been following you since the propane truck video from last year. I’m always trying to find other channels to add to my list of things to watch. But you are high up there. I’m an older woman so the mechanical videos were not as interesting to me. I really like the snow recoveries. I wanted to say to you are very interesting and entertaining. Just thinking about a case where you could be pulling up hill: Have you ever seen a brace between the tandems? Use two pressure treated 2x8's, fasten them together, rest one end on the top of the rear axle, the other at the bottom of the front. They're great for those "I'm not willing to dig the spades in any more - pavement damage is HIGHLY likely" kinda times.
