In one of Laura Kampf's older videos she makes a mobile podcast setup, but it was only for audio. An auto-deploying podcast studio in a box night be a fun project to see on UA-cam.
Allen on a NileRed video: “I started off by mixing this clear fluid with this other clear fluid using the pill that spins quite fast. After a few minutes, I noticed it kinda started fizzing like a soda. Once it went flat again, I transferred the mixture into a large bottle that needs its own stand because the manufacturer forgot to make the bottom flat. I think that’s when the thing I was trying to make was made the most.“
my dad had a Canon 5d mk2 back in 08, he was a photographer as well. I used to make Lego stop motion movies on it, and this is the first time I've ever considered the implication of him showing up for a shoot and finding his SD card full of thousands upon thousands of close up pictures of Lego, and his settings being all over the place. I was 9 in '08.
I used to have a waterbed when I was younger but also slept really hot, so I used to sleep directly on the bladder without any sheets. It soaks up all the heat from your body instead of being insulated through blankets/sheets. A lot of people actually use heaters for their waterbeds because it can get kind of cold. They're great, thought of buying a new one.
Koreans have something similar but with "stone beds" its just a massive slab of granite or something. Usually they have heaters built in. I usually have the heat off so i can lay on the cold hard stone directly
Yeah, my first thought was a waterbed with a super heat-resistant plastic/polymer heatsink. Quieter than a peristaltic pump. Buuut historically we’re not great with gauging pollutants in heat-resistant materials. Something about me so feely oh ma.
While your podcast might not get a ton of views, it always makes my day when a new one drops! The four of you have great chemistry, and it's a ton of fun hearing the behind-the-scenes anecdotes. I just wish Alex from IDAT was a more frequent guest!
I'm actually in the process of putting a water cooling Matt on my bed for camping during summer, you can buy a Matt from Ali express, they sell them as pet cooling matts. You really don't feel the pump at all because it's a pretty low flow rate, also a peristaltic would probably work well too. My plan is to use air cooling initially, but if it's really hot then butcher a 12v fridge and use a heat exchanger to activately chill the water. Much more efficient than trying to cool an area down as the human body only outputs approx 100w of heat and removing heat using direct contact is much more efficient than running an AC
You can also buy a product called a mattress cooler that's intended exactly for this. The one I have uses evaporative cooling to keep the water cool, which works well in dry environments.
Depending on the ambient temperature and humidity, you can also rig a 5 gallon bucket to serve double duty as a cooler and small humidifier/air conditioner. It’s basically just some cheap fans and some ducting. I used some old 140mm PC fans and a solar panel. It was kinda funny seeing people pull beers out of an RGB Home Depot bucket though, lol.
Does nobody else wrap themselves with a blanket, except for an air vent in front of your mouth so you have fresh air for every breath? Best of both worlds.
@@Desecrator6 nah it's a pretty normal thing. it's called a hug blanket or an anxiety wrap. they were originally used for cows, but have since been used for basically all mammals including humans.
I made a watercooled blanket once, basically exactly how you described (because I am a human furnace and can't handle heat). Just ran a bunch of ¼" rubber tubing through it and then through a radiator I nabbed from an old AC unit, with a 12v diaphragm pump. Even with the super vibratey pump I didn't feel anything through the tubes, they're soft enough to absorb any vibrations. Active cooling is entirely unnecessary. I used it "camping" in Canada's only desert, highs of 43° and it didn't cool off until ~2am. I could still sleep with a blanket, it was shockingly good at pulling heat out of the bed.

I have one of those bed jets, called Bed Jet, which pumps air under my sheets. However I sleep with multiple weighted blankets so I had to make a contraction that maintains a gap between the blankets and my mattress. I love it and can't sleep with out it. I use only a small amound of heat and it comes into the side of my bed instead of the foot.

I moved into a house, and the house next-door they had to tear out the basement and had to re-lay water pipes. They ripped up the street once every other month, even broke a gas line once and the block had to be on notice. I keep a glass in the freezer solely for drinking milk out of. I love milk but only if its super cold
I tried the infamous ice-cubes-in-milk for this reason, and it worked pretty well. Especially whole milk, I don't need it to be full strength.
Have you tried putting it in the fridge?
Omg I thought I was the only one that was weird when it comes to milk not being cold enough.
