More often than not they set the reels pn the machines. He says, the best time to go to play slot machines is right after a big holiday is over but before they set them back again.Because of the crowds the machines were set to hit more frequently.
    He also said that slot machines are the worst odds in the casino you're better off playing blackjack or craps

    I think Nigel is right. I come out of the casino with like $2-300 every time when I take $100 to the slots and leave early. The trick seems to be to play until you get 50% or more up on your money, and leave before you lose 10% or so of what you peaked at.

    Nigel knows what's up with casinos. Any time I go, I play by a simple rule: if my credits ever reach or exceed twice what I put in, I cash it out and cannot gamble with those winnings. Last time I went to a casino, that rule meant I walked out $10 richer than when I entered.

    Pattaya, the worst place in Thailand, if not Asia.
    Thailand is so amazing, have been to several years in total, but never, NEVER to Pattaya.
    Best place: Pai in the north, the absolute spectacular road from Chiang Mai to Pai, 750 bends over a mountain! Rent a scooter in Chiang Mai for two weeks and discover the magic of Pai!
    Best beach n party place: Koh Phangan. A lot of trash heads, bucket people (they sell long drinks in small buckets, so drunkies and guano heads are easy spottable, hence bucket people), but also heaps of good folks.
    BUT: Vietnam is just pure magic! The Vietnamese are super open and actually interested in you, they speak way better English than this, you can read the writing, the food is the perfect mix of french and Asian cuisine, the nature is part beaches, part Avatar mountains, tons of caves, forgotten valleys, some of the best roads in Asia (ho chi minh trail from north to south, best thing ever!!!), and sooooo cheap :)

  • @VoIcanoman
    @VoIcanoman 2 роки тому +1

    As far as complaints about Canada, "it's really cold" and "there's no sun" are actually inversely proportional. The coldest places in Canada actually see significantly more sun than the warmer places. Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Regina and Saskatoon are #'s 1 thru 5 in terms of annual sunshine hours in Canada. They also make up Canada's 5 coldest cities (not counting Yellowknife and Whitehorse, which have ~25,000 and ~20,000 people respectively - practically nobody who moves to Canada chooses to live in either place). In terms of sunshine in the summer, these places are comparable to Detroit, Milwaukee, Chicago, Nashville, Houston and Miami. And in terms of winter sunshine, they do a bit better than Cleveland, Portland, Pittsburgh and Seattle.
    So while frigid temperatures in winter could be a good reason to avoid moving to any of these places (keeping in mind that generally-speaking, extreme cold in these cities only really occurs during a 10-week period from the last week of December to first week of March, and that the rest of winter is more comparable to what you'd experience as average winter temperatures in Minneapolis or Chicago), a lack of sunlight is not. Moreover, the weather in the aforementioned 5 cities is absolutely _beautiful_ from May thru October. Even the scorching days usually have a breeze to temper the heat, and high-heat, high-humidity days are pretty rare (down East in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, they are quite common though - these places pay for their warmer winters with brutal summers). Finally, cold weather can be combated by putting on more layers of clothing. Warm weather has no such equivalent. If you have a job that requires you to work outside, I'd pick Canada's 5 coldest cities over America's 5 hottest cities without any hesitation.

    You don't need a dynamic algorithm to practically guarantee an edge, take something like roulette... because your odds of losing are slightly above 50%, obviously in the long run the casino pockets more than it gives, the wheel doesn't need to dynamically get out of the way of your ball or whatever... Also, as long as the pseudo random numbers generate the right distribution and it is impractical for you to try to predict outcomes, then its the same thing really... Lets ignore quantum, then on the large scale physics is largely deterministic and "random" processes like a coin toss are actually pseudorandom because you could technically simulate the toss from initial conditions and derive a result, but that impractical, so its random for all intents and purposes...

    slot machines have a payout percentage that is calculated and can be shifted, if you see a machine someone else plays not pay out for a longass time, you're more likely to get it to pay out. However the payouts i think are monthly based so it could have entire good and entire bad days, so its wishful thinking to really count on 50 losses to result in one win

    Hes right dont aim for jackpots you aim for bonus games i used to work on digital slots. The algorithms are based by how often a certain bet is made. So if its 25 constant, someone can walk up and max bet and more times then not will hit for small amounts. Its random but not exact. Its just an observation of my 4 years being a service tech for an amusement company.

    that would be super awesome if they made out at the weighing, boxing is super homoerotic and ironically there has been a lot of homophobia in the sport, so a make out sesh would be perfect.

    Someone else dabbled in explaining it, but Nigel is unaware around 23:00 about how websites can do "provably fair" gambling schemes. One example are systems where users' input influences the outcome. At the end of the round, the host shares their input. All parties' inputs are fed into a one way function (like SHA or something which is publicly disclosed and doesn't change). Since you can prove your input was part of the one way function, because even a single bit of difference will compute a totally different output, you know the output was fairl AND random. The house edge is publicly disclosed, eg 1% of outputs are not options to be gambled on. Eh if the output of the one way function were rounded to create a 0 to 100.0 range of possible values for players to gamble on, instead of gambling in 0-49.99 and 50-100, players can only gamble on 0-49.49 and 50.5-100, in between 49.51-50.49 is an automatic win for the house.

      Doesn't that depend on trusting that none of the other players are in on the scam?

    Somebody posted a tutorial on Facebook today, on how to synthesize acid. He cited Nilered for the video on making hydrazine. Just thought that was funny
