This is by far the best of the whammy series really wish they’d reissue
It's nice but to be honest I prefer the WH-1 and version 5 to this as they both have less latency in pitch shift mode. The bypass on the whammy wah and WH-1 is a bit noisy as well
thank you for this video!! i absolutely love the digital artefacts on the octave up and you make it really musical! keep it up

thank-you for documenting this pedal. it’s been off and on my list many times since i dumped my WH-II for a WH-1
i’ll be patiently waiting for you to do a similar run through of DigiTech XP300 Space Station.
I got the same pedal recently and having clipping unfortunately and input gain seem not to respond well. I measured the levels with a multimeter and saw that its going between 78k to 104k. Is it normal or should it be like from 0 to 100k? How does yours work? When you turn all the way down, you get any sound from the unit? Also my pickups are active and has a 130k ish ohm of output and impedance is 1m, whereas this device has a 470k of input impedance. Would it be the case?
I'd imagine the pickups are just a bit too hot for it. I'd expect a measurement of your pickups output in AC volts / mV rather than ohms so its hard to say. I never measure the pot on mine but I would test a lower output guitar with it first as that's most likely causing the issue.
@@PedalScience Ok so is there any way around to compensate this hotness if thats the case, because with any other system (be it sound interface or pedals i have) i dont experience such a problem.
When you say noisy and hissy? How bad are we talking?
Some players are more sensitive to these sorts of things so its quite subjective. It wouldn't bother me personally but I would want to have it in a bypass looper if it was being used live. The noise isn't a problem whilst you're playing through the pedal.
@@PedalScience thanks I appreciate that advice, I hate hiss or ground noise issues. Would love to have all the options this has tho.
@@MrDrayna The guitarists of Korn use it and they play with a lot of distortion. Noise doesn't seem to be an issue.
@@PedalScience I have one. It is not the flattest EQ buffered pedal, so yes, a punch in/out with true bypass is probably needed, or you get tone suck at bottom and mids. I think if you figure out your EQ in your signal chain the wahs can work. The autowahs do the bubbly thing, so that passes one of my requirements there. I bought it for the whammy dives and it's fine there. The harmonies can be made to emulate country or whatever genre, but it's really a specific use pedal and because of that it's hard to justify in a modern pedal board.
The PRICES on these.....buy an EXPRESSION Pedal!!
