At least that's what I took from it. What a heartbreaking end.

This is after he just came back from Hardhome and witnessed tens of thousands of men, women and children rise from the dead. So he knows they are fucked. His best friend/ brother Sam has to leave to protect his girlfriend and child. Then to cap off the season he I betrayed and MURDERED by his own night's watch brothers.💀🗡☠🔪 Season 6, he is risen from the dead. So u know his mind is messed up. He learns what happened to his sister, his brother is taken hostage, most of the lords of the North reject him and Sansa when they ask for help taking back their home and saving their brother. During the battle his brother is murdered in front of him while riding towards him to save him. Thousands of Northmen died in BoB. Both for him and against him. Then FINALLY the Starks get their home back and Jon is named King in the North. Jon went through some sh** too before getting his crown. Dany is not the only one who has suffered.

Your reaction was quite Interessting, though I won't agree with you on Danny of course. She was always in her own way cruel, and just hit the fan of it. The only difference, was that her cruel actions were mainly potrayed in a positive light, while that of the others were not. What happened to her was more, than good for the world. She wouldn't have been any better, than Cercei or her grandfather, the mad king.

Denny was always rotten apple, according to the show even tho they don't show it quite well. She was power hungry from the start but they made her character to damn likable. So it is hard to sell this bullshit ending with no buildup. But they had to do it this way, they want people to keep watching. I bet popularity would drop if they started building her madness like two seasons ago. It is not good storytelling but HBO wants to earn money. When you think of it, she is the character that was entitled from the beginning and had no emotions when her brother is killed. You could kind of get a hint how it might go. Varis had nice conversation with Oberyn in one scene explaining what desire does to people. I bet books will tell this way better. And don't tell me but she did good deeds even in the books. I have seen good people snap in real life. It is just a question of motivation, in the show it was poor.

I could not disagree with you more that the season was 'rushed'. Devoted two episodes to set up the huge battle with the Knight King, another full episode to regroup and march south ending with an event that absolutely no one saw coming which also set up episode 5 with anticipation and anxiety, a whole long episode to kick ass at Kings Landing and build even more angst for the Finale', then, tying everything up very masterfully. I didn't see it coming as well but Bran really was the best choice to accomplish everything that they wanted to accomplish! There are some things that I would rather have happen, but a large part of what I love about GoT is that it has been SOOOO unpredictable and would catch me leaning right when they took a left. I thought they tied up the loose ends very nicely for a show that started in 2011.

Your reaction was quite Interessting, though I won't agree with you on Danny of course. She was always in her own way cruel, and just hit the fan of it. The only difference, was that her cruel actions were mainly potrayed in a positive light, while that of the others were not. What happened to her was more, than good for the world. She wouldn't have been any better, than Cercei or her grandfather, the mad king.

I knew you were going to take this hard. But, I've been a fan of Dany's since season 1. I've been rooting for her and it SO sad that she had to go out like this. Uhhhh it broke my heart to see Drogon nudge her, but it was necessary, unfortunately.
Denny was always rotten apple, according to the show even tho they don't show it quite well. She was power hungry from the start but they made her character to damn likable. So it is hard to sell this bullshit ending with no buildup. But they had to do it this way, they want people to keep watching. I bet popularity would drop if they started building her madness like two seasons ago. It is not good storytelling but HBO wants to earn money.
When you think of it, she is the character that was entitled from the beginning and had no emotions when her brother is killed. You could kind of get a hint how it might go. Varis had nice conversation with Oberyn in one scene explaining what desire does to people.
I bet books will tell this way better. And don't tell me but she did good deeds even in the books. I have seen good people snap in real life. It is just a question of motivation, in the show it was poor.

I could not disagree with you more that the season was 'rushed'. Devoted two episodes to set up the huge battle with the Knight King, another full episode to regroup and march south ending with an event that absolutely no one saw coming which also set up episode 5 with anticipation and anxiety, a whole long episode to kick ass at Kings Landing and build even more angst for the Finale', then, tying everything up very masterfully. I didn't see it coming as well but Bran really was the best choice to accomplish everything that they wanted to accomplish! There are some things that I would rather have happen, but a large part of what I love about GoT is that it has been SOOOO unpredictable and would catch me leaning right when they took a left. I thought they tied up the loose ends very nicely for a show that started in 2011.
