I was too frustrated with Dany’s “arc” this season to be anything but numb when she died, but I definitely broke at Drogon giving her the Bambi treatment.
And I was totally bawling at Brienne recording Jaime’s deeds, too. He may have failed spectacularly at the last hurdle, but he died a true Knight of the Kingsguard.

I feel with you. I loved Dany since the beginning and supported her the whole time. I always knew she will die at the end but what they did to her is awful. The writers know that they could not let her win the game so that is the only reason why they made her evil. It still makes no sense for me what she did and that is not the Daenerys we saw the last 7 Seasons. She died as an evil and mad Queen but she deserve much more than this end after all she did and after all she suffered!!!

Foreshadowing is Not Character development. It lays out perfectly why this could have been her end but the writing and process of doing it was rushed and bullshit. Mick J But it wasn’t just foreshadowing, those were character moments throughout the series and showed how cruel Dany could be. Everyone cheered when she burned her enemies and she slowly began to realise that she’s always right. She is a tragic character and it’s what GRRM intended.
Let us be honest. She got what she deserved. She never was a queen, she was a conqueror. Daario Naharis said it to her face explicitly. And they started to build her end long before Dario Naharis, you just have to watch the show with open eyes.

Jon should've been killed by Drogon. He cried 4 his mother, after Dany's death it got very boring! I thought Bran couldn't be Lord of Winterfell, even less the King. When you think about it, Bran is the best choice to be the first king of essentially a world reborn. Jon knows nothing, while Bran can know everything. Seriously, imagine a leader who can look into the past, see everything every previous king had done, right or wrong, and make wise decisions based on that knowledge. And if he were to sit in judgment over someone, he can actually see that person's guilt or innocence. To him, it isn't about power. It's about responsibility. What he can see makes him the wisest person in the realms of men.
As to Jon... He is both nights watch and King beyond the wall. The wildlings are united under him. The Real North is vast, and with the dead gone with no Night King, as we saw, as the long winter won't happen, it will bloom again. And if there are any Children of the Forest still alive, they can return in peace. Jon is where he needs to be. His exile saved thousands of lives.
Grey Worm has taken the unsullied to Naath, where he will see his promise to Misande honord: He will protect her people, And the unsullied can know peace unless someone comes along to threaten it.
Sansa will lead the North well as Queen. And there is even plenty of room for expansion beyond the wall. And to the places Arya will discover on her journeys.
So the realm has the cleanest new beginning it can get. Under Dany, it would have been war unending. It may not have been that bad under Jon, but again, his reign would have been based on lineage and therefore the wheel would remain unbroken.
Remember Tywin's lesson to Tomen about what makes a good king? Wisdom was the characteristic that was determined the most important. Like I said, Bran has the wisdom of the ages. He has shed no blood. He is not motivated by anger or a desire for conquest. He can lead, not just rule.

Drogon takes Daenerys' body North of the Wall, he lands near spiral stones and places her in the centre. The Children of the Forest approach her, and plunge a shard of Dragonglass into her chest. Her eyes open, still blue, but this time much bluer.

Jon got the best ending he could have...a simple life amongst the Freefolk. He never wanted to be King...if he had been kind of Westeros, it wouldn’t have been a happy ending for him. With the freefolk, he can live out his life as he wants to, and he might even have a family someday. As for his birth- it basically created the story itself. Robert’s war, Cersei’s marriage to him instead of Rhaegar, Ned’s entire storyline...and in the end, the news of his lineage caused the deaths of multiple characters and led to a different kind of ending.

He didn’t stay with the Night’s Watch. He left to live with the Freefolk. That’s why he rides into the forest instead of going back. He could definitely have a family, nothing’s stopping him. Jon told Tormund that Ghost belonged in the real north...which is also where Jon belongs.

I really felt your pain with this one. I knew you wouldn't be happy with the death of Dany. I loved your reaction in the previous video of that epic shot with Drogon's wings behind her. I did have a theory that the reason why Drogon's taken Dany's body is because he knows of some way or someone who could bring her back to life.
Been watching you go through all the seasons. The tears for Dany shall flow but we will all live on beyond Game of Thrones. May Drogon bring Danearyes to a red priestess in Valaryia. This is not a goodbye King G, the Song of Fire and Ice lives on.

People were blinded by Danny's beauty and the triumph of the story of liberating slaves, but forgot the first prophecy about her (technically Rhaego but it was really for her): she was the stallion who mounts the world. The first prophecy about her was the true one all along. I loved Dany but she would have done terrible things. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Don’t worry George, Drogon will carry her to Volantis to be resurrected by the red priests and then she will rebuild Valyria and then in some years come back and roast Jon Snow and all of them, she gave them way too many choices and chances. This is what I imagined happening to our Dany. Drogon took her back to Valyria, built a funeral pyre for her, put his eggs that he had laid in the pyre with her and burned them. Little baby dragons come out of the fire. Maybe there is some kind of dragon magic when there is death of one so loved and the grief, with fire that hatches the eggs
In my mind Drogon took her East dropped her to the temple of the lord of light to resurrect and she and Drogon are quietly living somewhere remote.
I used to say that I refuse to believe that a person's dead unless I see the body, but not in this show. A dead body doesn't necessarily mean dead...for long.
That doesn't make any sense. Drogon probably took her to Old Valiria.

@Zee Steele I'm actually blaming the producers and the writers here. There are a LOT of unanswered questions STILL left unanswered and book facts + season 7 pointers that are thrown out of the blue. I actually don't mind Daenerys going mad and dying and this is from someone who loved her from S01 until her last breath but they should've done the madness justice. 😠 Those theories you just mentioned actually made me think.
And also, GRRM mentioned the ending would be bittersweet. This is clearly NOT bittersweet. It's straight up tragedy. 😧

Look at how the lords mocked the common man. “Should I ask my horse and dog too for their opinion?” Oh wait, werent u crying about how the commoners were burnt during the invasion a second ago? Suddenly they are worth less than your cattle. Fuck them seriously.

Drogon understood that it was pursuit of the Iron Throne that led to his mother's death, and he refused to let anyone else sit on it.
Let's list all of the shitty choices and logic in this season :
*Ignoring any buildup of Danys personality and making her crack way to fast.*
*When drogon burned the throne (and this is from the scripts) it wasn't because he understood the throne was bad, it was just a bystander in his rage, no point in doing it he is just mad.*
*Why is there a knights watch? The white walkers are dead and the freefolk have no reason to attack.*
*Why was bran not okay with being Lord of winterfell but cool with being king of everything.*
*Why didn't Bran use his weird Raven power to do like, anything at all.*

I would say Bran is evil but he isn't even on the spectrum of evil and good, he just is. Quiet and not deciding to share everything he knows could prevent genocide.*

*Why did the biggest and most built up moment, the war between the dead and living last one episode and why did a majority of the characters make it out? Only to be killed or forgotten a few episodes later.*

In Winterfell, why would they hide from an army of the dead in a crypt?
Just like I said in my comment on your Episode 5 reaction. The road the story put Dany on in that episode could only lead to the death of a rabid dog needing to be put down. Hers was a story of triumph turned tragedy. But then that is how this show always has worked. Give us a character we come to love, then look at the audience, cackle maniacally and then stab us right there in the feels by killing them tragically.
In that regard at least, the show remained consistent.

I want you to know I feel the exact same way, and reacted the same way when I saw Dany betrayed by D&D.... She has been someone I've looked up to a long time, since before the show and I grew closer to her character as the show went on. When they destroyed her character I fell apart. Like I sobbed like I lost an actual family member and went into a depression bc what they did to this series, the creators work and the actors that made it their livelihood. I'm still just as passionate about Daenerys and game of thrones 🖤😭
