The gap on the buttstock is correct. If it’s super flush and pretty looking it will inevitably crack. The space there is to prevent stress cracks.
Just saw range test and came back for the table top. Never owned an AK or fired one that I can think of. Looks really nice.
Again - translating from Polish to English on WBP quality check sheet - headspace of bolt - norm is 0,42 mm, this particullary rifle is only 0,20 mm- so tight is this machined - what is very important in favour to accuracy!

İ bought one when they were 760. Came as a sporter. I have since converted it, shoot extremely well. Have about 3k thru it thanks to ammo shortage
It’s so beautiful!! I ordered mine from atlantic as well I’m picking it up in a few days from my ffl. I also own a zastava m70 and this gun felt a lot lighter and had better attention to detail.
Far superior fit and finish to the M70, and a lot lighter too.
Hey just letting you know the gap is normal on wood stock ak’s. I know it looks weird but it’s so it doesn’t crack.
Great review! I truly belive, that WBP made AKs are among the best on world market. I own short 10 inch SBR WBP Mini Jack - in US called Lynx, nothing more needed to get fun, really! Mine scores using cheap Barnaul ammo 2 MOA accuracy, regarding that my red dot is Vortex 2 MOA dot. I suppose, mounting this rifle on a good rest will result in even better score. Stiff, thick quality barrel (they come from FB Radom plant) - makes is possible. And - I love AK in traditional wood ;-)
I have two wbp rifles for about 3 years and they're great. They even made a believer out of a retired scout sniper friend of mine
Does the lynx/mini jack also have a forged trunnion?

I believe for these conversions by Atlantic Firearms the parts they used for 922r are the pistol grip, muzzle brake, gas piston, and fire control group (3 parts). Last time I read on a thread somewhere. It's nicely done nonetheless, far better than Century Arm's conversions on the WASR 10s and old Zastava imports.
Yes, it is a quality barrel. The barrel is CHF CL manufactured at FB Radom. My example is very accurate. The US made parts are the slant brake, piston, and pistol grip. The forged trunnion, forged bolt, forged carrier, fire control group, receiver, gas block, front and rear sight blocks, gas tube, rear trunnion, etc, are all Polish made at WBP. Laminate furniture is Polish made. It comes into the country with a polymer thumb hole stock that is replaced with the Polish laminate at Arms of America. The polymer furniture models have a Polish made piston instead of the US made piston.

You can’t even compare this to a WASR10/RH10 lol. I think these are much better looking than Yugo zpap’s. I have an Arsenal SAM7SF plum and a customized RH10 Cugir and id like to get one of Tiger wood version of this WBP Fox. Prob have to call my collection of rifles a day after I get a Wbp. My significant other will prob lose patience with me if I go past that. You’re right though they’re absolutely beautiful rifles.

It is a wonderful weapon. Wbp makes parts for fb radom as well. It is a strange sim biotic relationship, as wbp also makes military, and police rifles.
I have been lucky to be very familiar with several high end aks in my time, arsenal, feg, as well as cugir built wasrs.
The WBP imo is the nicest of all.
The barrel cut feed ramp, and beed rolled upper rails i have never seen in an ak that I recall.
The milled arsenal guns are the only smoother action.
It definitely is a rifle you don’t want to change, because it is so nice, a perfect akm.
This is seriously a beautiful AK. I feel it’s very underrated. I have a Saiga, Arsenal sam7, and a wasr. I think I like my 🦊 the best. It’s so pretty.

@@1308SPAZZ I gotta take my Sam7 slightly over it, but the FOX is a great AK in my opinion. I think it’s the prettier looking rifle, but I loved the smooth milled receiver on my SAM7.

The barrel seems nice.... I’m yeah that’s a FB Radom barrel LOL arguably the nicest AKM barrel ever produced (including Russian barrels) during the heyday of this particular platform under the Soviet old guard so to speak (pre AK100 pre 5.45/5.56 etc. though the barrels FB Radom produces all seem to knock it out of the park as shown by the Beryl’s 5.56 barrel.. easily the most accurate AK I’ve ever owned due to the entire package but in my opinion due mostly to the barrel though I wished they would have gone with a 1/8 twist rather then 1/9). I can’t speak to anything but the barrel since the rest is done by WBP but I can say Poland knows it’s way around the AKM, and if they forge the parts that need to be forged, take tips from FB Radom and keep their QC in check all the ingredients are there for a fantastic rifle... not to mention I have friends that own them and their reviews for the most part have been overwhelmingly good.

In this booklet i see only polish/european market models. They all have auto sear in semi auto

What issues were you having with the Zastava? I went back to your videos and couldn’t find a Zastava video.
Terrible experience with some faulty Zastava USA pistols a year back or so. Poor construction, fake stains, walking pins, sloppily cut welds, and the worst experience with a company ever.
@@GBGuns Jesus. I recently got a zpap m70 and it seems ok but doesn’t blow me away. Honestly like my wasrs better.
The M models should be fine, it's the Zs that seem have issue
Do they still ship with the FB Radom barrels? I bought a second fox with the intent to modify it but had the same reaction as you.
There were no notes from Atlantic about the barrels on these. The first is he'd matches the original parts. They do say that the 5.56 rifles are US receiver and US barrel.

Yes, FB Radom barrels. The piston is US made on Polish laminate stock version. On the US made polymer or US made wood furniture versions, they have Polish pistons.

@@axlsane427 That is correct for laminate combloc AK furniture. It is flush as Graham said. It is an additional step to help keep the laminate together under extreme use. Not meant to be a $20k double rifle. Although, mine is hanging on my wall. WBPs quality control is excellent. Laminate furniture on AKs without the nails showing is obscene and cheap looking.

Does magazines wobble in your fox? I just bought fox from atlantic and bulgarian steel mags wobble pretty bad. Polymer bulgarian mags are not bad but steel is pretty bad

The gaps in the buttstock are intentional. The gap is supposed to be there.
why is the bolt carrier group one silver color (bolt carrier) and other one black (bolt)? and the bolt carrier's rod is kinda wobble ?
The colors are the manufacturer's choice. Gas piston wobble is normal on most AKs

It's all original except for the piston, grip, magazine and trigger I believe. I could be wrong on the trigger, but I know the piston is a US made piston.

Shame about your zastava, I have been super happy with mine.
Considering I own a dozen other Zastava guns (all older imports) I was disappointed too. It was the threats and trash talking from the company that turned me off to them.

I like old versions until 80s of Polish circle 11 AK47 model , but versions staring from 90s really too bad , Few years ago I test one of 90s model with black grip and really it was bad results,Bullets Range decreased, that's why models until 80s still more popular!

I am not overly impressed with the zastava I recently acquired. Mag had a defect, foregrip did not line up and sight was stuck. Worst of all customer service solution was just to ffl it back. I for one am tired of import anything. Would like to see a 100% made in USA Ak. Tired of all the piss poor fit issues and lack of standardization of magazines.
Century and PSA make 100% American AKs
The Poles have aways made one of the best AK's. It's only when the 922r monkeys start turning wrenches that things go down hill. This looks like a nice example that hasn't suffered too badly from the monkeys.
They didn't make AK's because they wanted and liked the AK platform, they made them because were forced to make AK's because communism took over Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, and every country east of the iron curtain. The communist regime only allowed the countries under its claws to make guns if they were soviet platforms and ammo.

@@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess Not only the US, but also the Brits. Gen Anders and Patton wanted to do much more and make sure that Poland and other countries were not under communist rule. But the Allied leaders would not allow them while know that many families of Polish soldiers fighting in exile would be at risk. Roosevelt and Churchill made very selfish decisions that might have resulted in good short term results for the US and Britain. But, those weren't good long term results for the US, Britain, and a number of other countries including Poland. But, the Poles do make the best AKs (not just my opinion, but the opinions of AK experts). I bought a WBP Fox for my Polish wife. It is our best rifle.

Among all Eastern European countries, Czech is the best and that's why they have VZ58, Poland is the second. Russia is the worst.
VZ58 is the worst. It's not even a real AK. Doesn't take AK mags and is more closely related to the SKS.
