They were so concerned about whether they could make a wireless tv that they never stopped to think whether they should.
This was the comment we deserve, but not the one we need right now. So, we'll upvote him. Because he can take it.
They stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a WINDOW, and now
[bangs on the table]
you're selling it, you wanna sell it. Well...
There it is.
Can we get a wired version? With some gorilla glass or something. This would be a good travel tv
All day battery life? We're gonna need a bigger boat.
How the heck can you watch a TV with the glaring sun shining in the background outside of the window?
You can place the TV anywhere with a flat surface even if it is not a window. It doesn't have to be a window tho.
100% agree.
As far as putting it on other non-window surfaces … well, I guess if you have a marble/granite/etc wall you want to muck up w/a tv, this might be useful.
Hard pass.
@nathanjuan6042 Good luck those with stucco walls.
Ambilight😂
They should have solar panels on the back if it's meant to hang on a window
That's a good idea given how most people watch TV in the evening and nights
yeah great idea
how many people going to hang this on a window? 0.01% maybe
but everyone is going to pay the premium for solar panels for a tv thats even now expensive enough. Makes sense
@acebdefg5582 well obviously it's only for people who are interested in hanging it on a window duh
@@HumanStateOfEmergency Solar panels need to be articulated parallel to the sun as much as possible, which is why you never see solar panels installed vertically (180 degrees upright). Also, most windows are "Low E" glass that have a coating to block infrared spectrum & keep the heat out, so it wouldn't really work.
It's a portable tv it's not "meant to hang on a window"
I can see someone trying to attach this to a thin glass window with an explosive result. lol.
The demo shows hanging it straight will be crucial. Free tip to Displace: make a built in leveler, visual or sound, or both.
I was thinking the same thing
and an alarm for when it starts leaning forward.
The technology to put it on a wall without hooks is the selling point tbh
Yeah totally makes sense to replace a battery daily when you could mount on the wall and be done with it.
@oliverwhite8624 it serves a good option for companies doing day events with limited access to power
@@Brian20Deco could also see this type of thing being popular for camper/RV type situations. Have it inside, then bring it out at night.
@@ALMX5DP I'd agree except that almost every modern RV has 110V outlets easily accessible from the outside near where people would be gathering.
@@besweeeet2 very true, though the mounting flexibility and wireless connectivity could still make it an interesting option.
This seems great for commercial use, events, parties, and temporary functions.
The African guy did it first
This really looks like it is tailored for shops, museums and conventions that use a temporary setupt. Controlling up to 8 TVs with one controll box is leading into the same direction. Who else uses multiple TVs at the same time? Hand gesture controlls might also be made for museums and conventions. Instead of using the now common touch screens we might get screens like these in the future. The 1 day of battery life is also no problem, if you only have like 10-12 opening hours a day and can charge during the night.
events is what i was thinking this is needed for, places you wouldnt normally have access to power or whatever, you could take this on a camping trip if you wanted or like a tailgate party
You people just want to comment you can construct an holder for it to put on the Table
@@eedoamitay3341you also have to take the tower the tv itself is useless without it and I’m pretty sure that needs to be plugged in with and you also need WiFi
Cool idea once it's actually perfected
This hardware will be expanded upon because it is the future of entertainment. Love it
Love the suction cups on the back. No more drilling into walls
That tech to put it on a flat surface and no install is incredible. I mean my mind is blow. You mean no more drilling or stands on a table. No more trying to hide cords too. The tech to have no install needed is impressive
Put power outlet behind TV boom no cords.
Good but they need to get it to be paper thin and hang up by magnets.
@@alexander2685 ok rofl
@@nellielmadness9053 If you know anything tcl is suppose to making a tablet that rolls out you must not know much 🙄
@@alexander2685 lmfao ok
Pedestrians love these!
so they made a cumbersome tablet like thingy only not being touch operable but on a suction cup, great tech ngl
More than once while watching this video, I was worrying so much if it gonna fall 😂
The idea of manually charging the batteries is a big deal breaker🙄.....
It definitely needs a leveling feature because having to adjust and readjust the tv to make it level would extremely annoying with that suction system
Requires Multiple large batteries.
Suction fail risk.
No Remote control (think camera fail=dead tv)
Why would you want a television limited to installation on specific surfaces, requiring constant charging of swap out batteries that will eventually need replacement (at a large cost no doubt).
It seems like this is a tv for people who enjoy paying a subscription service to their battery sales unit.
You buy this, you are paying forever for batteries AND the electricity used to charge them, all the while hoping the tv doesn't fall off the wall.
No thanks 🙂
That battery life is an immediate deal breaker. Hopefully this technology leads to digital photo frames in the future.
yeah maybe not a TV even the idea is cool
Already exists
You can just replace the battery since it is removable
a day of use is more than enough while the backup battery charges
@@capone_rd_809 hol' up gotta charge the batteries for my TV. This is neat, and I'm excited to see what new tech thrives but this seems a little odd.
They should definitely add solar panels on the back to benefit from being mounted on a window.
Have you even try put TV in front of window? Especially on south? It is not good idea.
Wow, you really do have to hand it to these guys. That's more actual innovation in one product than we have seen in DECADES from other TV manufacturers. I don't know that this product will ever make it all the way out to retail, but it's really good to see this company actually push the technology curve here as aggressively as they have here. This could have the same impact on the TV industry that Tesla had on the car industry: forcing EVERYONE to substantially accelerate their technology roll-out plans resulting in better, more advanced products coming to market faster from ALL manufacturers in the space. At a bare minimum, just the sheer existence of this product now puts ALL other TV manufacturers on notice with a very clear statement: You are moving WAY too slow - and you are being WAY too conservative in both your feature set mix and your go-to-market strategy. I just hope they are ALL paying very close attention.
What is innovative about this product? OLED? Batteries?
@@marcokrueger3399 OLED and batteries is a GameChanger! A God Sent!
This is massive and I see this just getting better quickly.
No it won't, it's a stupid idea that will never catch on!
Cool idea but I’d wait a few gens. That battery recharge time is frustratingly unbearable.
very cool concept!
Lost me with battery 😂
Seems like a waste of battery production, all to prevent one cord from being utilized. If anything, it's introducing more waste as you need a charging station in addition to the processing box which is likely wired already...
I'd be worrying about it falling
I like to look out my window!
Ok, let’s assume you don’t mind watching at a dark display during the day due to sunlight on a window. Needing to replace the battery every day? Are you actually kidding me?? Like seriously now.
You can place the TV anywhere with a flat surface even if it is not a window. It doesn't have to be a window tho.
I rather have a rollable paper thin tv that as this as a piece of paper.
If I was a vampire and I only a watched tvs at night this could work..
This is going to have about as much staying power as the 3D TV
So true more like a gimmick.
3D tv was the best and I still mourn it.
Now, I need to make sure my window is strong enough. >.
And clean too
👏👏👏 As someone with disabilities who finds installing a TV with all the wires etc very difficult, I very much welcome a future of wireless TVs.
As someone with disabilities, frankly you're probably going to have a far more frustrating time mounting this, dealing with daily battery changes, fiddly gestures, etc etc. Installing tv wiring is usually a one-time deal.
To recharge over and over that could get boring real quick.
@@alexander2685 its not supposed to be fun
@@nellielmadness9053 I can tell you would not get much out of it.🙄🤣🤣😍
@@alexander2685 tf are the emotes you using dog lmao
Thieves are gonna love these TVs
could you imagine having to change the battery everyday just watch tv no thinks cord in wall works just fine
I expected wireless power via laser or magnetism, the batteries are an immediate no
So will it stop sticking and fall and shatter when the battery runs out?
Imagine wanting to watch Netflix but needing to recharge your batteries lol dafuk
how do you use the hand jesters if you have accessibility issues i wonder….
Imagine what could be next? Maybe they make a device that projects the TV on the wall and then you don't have to suction anything to it?!
Can we talk about how crooked it looks on the window?
Suction as a way of mounting things is great until it isn't. I wouldn't trust an expensive heavy tv to anything but physical attachment to the wall.
Needs a built-in level app that displays on the screen.
🤣🤣, yeah they couldn't hang it straight!
Everyone coming in here hoping the TV is solar powered 😂 Nah we're gonna make you change a battery every day
finally, battery pack TV.
These Tablets are getting insane
Now that’s what I’m talking about.
Sooo... what happens when the battery power runs out and this thing drops crashing to the floor?
They should have tried wireless power transfer (not the watch, magnetic type) but actual (say magnetic resonance in wireless power transfer) technology
I don't care about the wireless part, but the battery powered TV is a smart idea if it come with a plug to plug in the TV. Whenever the power goes out you still have power.
Oh so you mean like...a regular TV?
@@jonmh9668 Regular TVs don't have batteries.
How do you charge the tv
The fact it needs battery is a big nope from meee
Finally, I can replicate the very thing that I've done in The Sims!
Could care less about the TV but that Huge Jackman Wolverine video in the top right of the screen can someone tell me what it is and where can I watch it.
*You almost had me...until the gestures part.*
😮💨
😏😏😏
Okay this TV runs off batteries how long does the battery last how often if you play 8 hours a day for a whole week how long will the battery last and how long it takes to recharge the batteries that's what I want to know sounds amazing it looks great but how long would it last
That’s a mock up from the guy who made the wireless TV on TikTok
Battery is for portability. Not carrying a 50” tv with me - ever. 😀
Like everything first gen... The concept is cool but I got the feeling that actually using it would suck... Either because the suction wouldn't be very good and prone too fall off the wall... Or the gestures don't work and no remote or batteries don't give the battery life they promise and it dies really fast..... Just so many things could go wrong... in real life use.. However as a concept I think it's cool and might lead to more developments down the road so I'm all for it... Wouldn't buy one tho...
Just the fact that at a power outage and your not at home constantly wondering if you have to buy new tv's or the battery will hold for the outage time
@@30secondsofras What do you mean?
@@marcokrueger3399 well, if there is an power outage longer as 1 or 2 hours I would start to worry if the suction has still enough power or if the battery will drain and the tv's will drop down
@@30secondsofras Oh yeah now I understand. I don't think this is a purpose for this tv anyway since with the windows in this video, you would have to take it down anyway to change the batteries. If you want to use multiple ones, you'd have to doo that, too.
The product itself doesn't really make sense as a replacement for a normal TV
might be good in an RV in the boonies on a rainy day.
Ffs didn’t even put the tv straight in the window!!
the only missing is the solar charging when it hangs on the glass wall..
if they put a solar behind. then a real mount. maybe?
I think you might be forgetting that the window, or whatever you're going to "hang" it on must be capable of holding that kinetic force... I foresee many issues...
Tvs are incredibly light, plus this has part of the tv outside the tv
@@Sideways_Singh ???
But it's literally filled with extra components... Mainly HEAVY batteries 🤦🏼♂️
There will be glass that is cracked, shattered and broken. Most window glass is not designed to have weight attached to its midpoint...
company states 20 lbs for the tv. Its an oled they can spray it onto paper and it still works.
@@MikeNovelli oled tvs weigh less then 30lb, plus most of the tv is outside the tv for this model, so that makes up for most the batteries. Plus if u watch the video u can see it connects from both ends and distributed the weight through the entire back of the tv, so it aint connecting to no midpoint of glass. Houses and apartments have extremely thick and durable glass
A solution to a problem that doesn't exist 🤑
If it went to window they could include solar panels on the back
Did he say one day of use 😂
Someone call Zimbabwe
They should have integrated a dang level on the thing. There is no way I could sit and watch that TV until it was square to that window.
thats what ppl want a freaking tv on a window....says no one. trying to watch a tv with the bright sunlight coming from the window...come on man
Absolutely not.

So it's just a giant phone?
Anyone else's OCD kicked in seeing that TV tilted a bit to the right? 😬
If the processor was built in and didnt need to be plugged in, plus a smaller form like 20 inches and if it was foldable, u can use it as a portable monitor, then it would be kinda cool and useful, but right now its a joke.
Three seconds into the video and they lost me with the TV side lapsed on the window.
Hanging it on a window is suspect imo. That’s by far the easiest surface to stick a suction cup too. Show me it stuck to a painted wall before praising that feature.
Does it bother anyone else that it wasn't level when they put it on the window?
9000 USD for screen and box? battery life ?, but interesting putting on the wall without bracket/hook
ok but what if the window breaks
