“Ran into” Rod Stewart at our Publix in South Beach several years ago. I parked next to a black Mercedes AMG something. Driver was on the phone, I fiddle sticked in my car for several minutes and for some reason we got out of our cars at the same time. When I passed his car he said “Good morning” in his “Rod Stewart accent” and that lovely smile on his face. Great energy. I have a couple of his songs in my itunes library.
Similar thing happened to me when I met rod. I am a huge carguy and took a pic of his merc and he walked up behind me and said hello in his accent and his smile is something else.
Rod Stewart hasn't lost his beautiful accent, I had the privilege to see him in concert in San Diego back in the 80's and he's still the same adorable person I love him and wish him all best. Thank you James!
