@Brad I think it is name (when compared to Ford, Chevy, or Dodge) and lack of diversity with packages. Even in this state of elevated gas prices, nothing beats the V8 in this truck. It is called Endurance for a reason in my opinion. I grew up in a Ford house and test drove an F-150. I test drove a Titan after that and fell in love with it. Granted that no auto company is without issues, but I haven't had any problems with the three that I have had. I know some have had some tough moments with theirs, but I am more likely to trade my current Titan in for a newer model Titan.
@@chris_chappell Wow, three of them and no problems that is impressive. I hear all of the time about how bad those jatco transmissions are but I also read where their trucks don't have the same ones as the their cars do. Because they have a lot of trouble with the Rogue's, Altima, Maxima, etc.
@Brad ironically, I also had an Altima and my wife had a Pathfinder. Both of those had that CVT transmission. Totally different type of transmission from what's in the Titan. Like I said, I know there are some bad apples out there, but that hasn't been my experience at all. I've treated my truck like a truck as well, I don't baby it at all (other than cleaning it and regular maintenance).
@@chris_chappell Five year 100K mile warranty is the best in business. Don’t have buy additional gap warranty like with Ford Chevy and Ram. I’m on my second Titan and they added two more years so I have a seven year warranty now. Plus free oil changes.
For the price you cannot beat the Titan. I have a 19 and absolutely love it! Compare a 60k GMC and you won’t be anywhere near as nice or have as many options as the Titan. It’s a great value and definitely underrated.
The Platinum Reserve has the best ride. They have additional dampers for a smoother ride. Takes the bumps, but is not sloppy. It's on my radar for sure.
I have a 2020 Platinum Reserve and I love it. It's also my 4th Titan because I like them so much. I've been saying since they came out in 2004 that they are the most underrated truck out there - you can't beat what you get for the price - and they're arguably one of the best looking full size trucks IMO.
I have a 20 PR and love it. What I don't love is you can't plug your phone in without it going to apple car play. I think the steering is a little to hard to turn when parking. I wish the back doors would open up further. I also think they went on the cheap with non LED turn signals. What I do love are the seats. The best in the industry. Simply love the ride and how quiet it is. The V8 speaks for itself. Fender system is awesome. Love the sunroof. The column shifter frees up a lot of valuable real estate in the center. Yo can't even feel the shifts. And lets not forget the 5 YEAR, 100K MILAGE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY!!!!! Easily the most underrated truck on the market.
I love my Titan and great sounding exhaust coming from the V8. For 60k I can live without a heads-up display, and a larger infotainment system. Wireless charger should be standard.
I literally bought a 2023 Platinum with 17k after seeing this video. A Nissan dealership around the corner had a gorgeous burgundy one with the black out wheels and saddle tan leather upholstery. My wife urged me to get it as I had been driving a 2007 Silverado since 2010 so I made a ridiculous offer and they agreed. What a truck! The engine is so smooth and powerful snd the attention to detail is incredible as is the quality. If Nissan had marketed this better more people would have bought one
Bought a new TITAN in 2004, after 17 years I only spent about $1000 in repairs, and about $1500 to get the hood and roof repainted because the clear coat faded. Other than that, SOLID ENGINE & TRANSMISSION.
I have never regretted buying my 21 Pro-4X. I tow 6k lbs+ all the time, offroad all the time, and put 30k trouble free miles on it. Its just a nice solid truck for people who actually need a light duty truck. Not a fancy grocery getter for people who should actually drive a sedan.
Nissan seats are great - had a long drive in my Rogue this past weekend, a trip I've made in other cars before, and it was the most comfortable I had been in any of them.

Just bought a Platinum REserve - it's amazing. Glad I bought it instead of the BIg 3. Very nice to drive, BEAST of an engine, hell of a warranty, reliable, and useful. It's the last honest V8
What it would come down to for me is if the titan is a good enough truck for you given the price for the 2. If the denalis insane interior is worth the extra dough go for it, for me I’d save even more and pick up a second hand titan, modern enough for me anyways.
If I was in the market for a truck I'd choose the Nissan. It's a simpler design and you can get a great discount usually because no one wants to drive a Nissan 😂

-premium interior
-SUPER COMFORTABLE seats
-400hp naturally aspirated engine, no turbos, no super chargers, just raw power
The cons:
-infotainment system demands you install android auto or the apple equivalent if you plug your phone into either dash mounted USB just to charge your phone (it will keep popping up over and over and over and over)
-infotainment system ignores screen presses half the time, is a bit sluggish to respond, sometimes just resets for no reason, & seems like someone put armor all on the screen
-Payload is kind of low at 1200 lbs
-if you are turning while accelerating from a stop it will spin the tires if you aren't careful (happened on our test drive turning left onto the freeway)
-our rear window defroster connection is snapped off and is just dangling

I heard it’s getting discontinued
I think the next step is Nissan is getting rid of it.
@@mattmekhaeil You are correct matt!
From what I can find is that it’s only discontinued in Canada.
yup they killed it off. i had a 07 Titan SL and it was great. interior was crap but the drivetrain and engine never missed a beat
I have a ‘21 Titan Sv, Love it!!
❤ I love my Titan platinum reserve 2023 two tone color white and grey metallic it is the affordable luxury pickup truck with the big 3 you can’t afford luxury truck from 70,000 to 90,000 I just got Titan platinum under msrp with all rebate included 59,000 OTD price no market adjustments no BS on warranty packages , That's why I like the Nissan they can work with the costumer
It’s better than the gmc imo
Thank you for sharing your honest opinion.
I think they look better for sure
The key fob commentary was iconic. Exact fob my moms 2007 Altima had. Minus the cvt that thing was bulletproof
I have a soft spot for the Titan... I usually get GMC but I like this truck. Good value.
Price point caught my eye vs the Big American made trucks.
I love the Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve I think that this kinda kills the Apostles to the full-size trucks.
I am glad that you took the ride with me!
@@RaitisRides Yeah I loved the way it I know it's not perfect but for the money, it's a dandy.
Woahhhhhh that sounds awesome
It has the V8 power!
Nissan Titan the last good traditional truck. No “overkill” on the screen but still good tech. Sad that it’s going to probably go away this year.
Bro you do great reviews. Your reviews have made me make decisions on multiple car and truck purchases!!!
It gets up and moving pretty quickly!
column shifter appreciation society approves, less brodozer gimmick shifters are needed
Absolutely. But I will go one step further and say I vastly prefer the six passenger seating set up too in a truck. Much more roomy feeling
@@pryme2013 Bench seats rule! I love the armrest and legroom.
Great video brother, I just a 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 not too long ago and man let me tell you its a freakn beast as well.
Yeah Joe on that column shifter. I love it🙂
Heck yeah!
Great review, Joe! I prefer the GMC.
I am right there with you!
The gmc is like the silverado and theres a lot of plastic used in the vehicle
Raitis rides is my favorite POV car channel! 😂 the “I just lost the keys” had me crying with laughter lol
Thanks for letting me bring the laughs and the POVs to you!
We bought 2022 Pathfinder platinum with heads-up display and wireless charger. It is our first vehicle with heads-up display and we were so excited. I could definitely live without wireless charger and heads-up display. 9 inch infortainment screen is plenty. I like thslat it is integrated into dash in Titan rather than sticking out.
Hello, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023
Looks like the father of the frontier
I think that is the look Nissan was going for!
Wow, great price ! 👍
They do bring a lot for the price!
Just bought a Platinum REserve - it's amazing. Glad I bought it instead of the BIg 3. Very nice to drive, BEAST of an engine, hell of a warranty, reliable, and useful. It's the last honest V8
I am so happy to hear!
@@RaitisRides You'll need to do a final 2024 Plat Reserve review, give it the send off it deserves!
Crazy about the Sierra but loving the Titan love it especially the Platinum Reserve trim have the Sierra on my radar but go with Titan.
I am glad that I could share it with you!
@@RaitisRides Thanks so much love the Titan a huge truck fan BTW besides love cars so glad did review of the Titan.
@@ramoncarter6585 I try to bring as many different vehicles that I can.
@@RaitisRides You do a really great job on reviewing.
What it would come down to for me is if the titan is a good enough truck for you given the price for the 2. If the denalis insane interior is worth the extra dough go for it, for me I’d save even more and pick up a second hand titan, modern enough for me anyways.
Why would they use incandescent turn signals ?
If I was in the market for a truck I'd choose the Nissan. It's a simpler design and you can get a great discount usually because no one wants to drive a Nissan 😂
Joe I love your reviews. I would like your opinion about the ride between new frontier VS Titan 2023 platinum reserve which one is comfortable for long ride or long distance travel? More power to your Raitis Ride
This Titan destroys the Frontier with long distance comfort!
Thank you Joe your my number car reviewer. Good luck for your 1 million subscribers.
@@giovanniduay2613 Yo are so very welcome! Thank you for having my back!
It would be great to have a better reverse camera but is not such a big deal considering you wouldn't get a truck this size for that price with some other brand.
So very true Omar!
Irony is, they have really good cameras on the new Pathfinder, probably cost-cutting measures which Nissan is very good at lol
@@Sheng614 They just did not want to bring them to the Titan.
@@RaitisRides Think Nissan knows the Titan/Armada are on their last legs, and doing every bit of cost cutting measure before taking them off the line completely
Love me a column shifter!
That is a awesome truck. Thanks for showing us .
I love it Joe and Lori and keep up the good work and I love the video 👍
The Nissan 5.6 endurance motor is a solid motor. GM has that cylinder dropping technology plague with issues.
This is true!
I love it, I want one so bad!!
Good job on the video by the way!
Own a 2023 Pro 4 X love this truck solid just close the doors and you will feel quality. Great ride no rattles feel of the materials and warranty best in the business drive one you will buy one
"I love the nacho tray." 🤣 Who doesn't? 15 mpg city? Tough sell there. Discounts at this time probably wouldn't be enough for me. Great review as always.
If you want a truck to last 300,000 miles, go with the Titan.
Oh wow that is a tall order!
Love nissan Titan
My favorite Nissan pickup I wanna buy one.
"the same key Noah used to fire up the ark" killed me! That key fob is so old
I’m currently in a 2017 Titan SV and I really enjoy it
10:16 😂 that finger so intense. Love it!
“Watermelon, sour apple, cherry.”
Thanks for letting me share the laughs and this truck with you!
Great review, Joe! Subscribed!!
I’ve owned each of the Big 3 bought a 2022 Titan SV so much value for the money can’t wait to upgrade to a Platinum Reserve can everyone just come to there senses and at least test drive a Titan I’m sure you will agree best value for the money
The Denali is the clear the winner. Better styling and better finishes in the interior
That is the way I would spend my money!
Denali is pricier tho, but yea that interior is stupidly nice. Looks can go either way imo they’re both atleast the best and second best looking new trucks by a long shot
Plus Denali has auto start stop and cylinder deactivation!
@@nismomike3182is that a good thing?
@@CarsTechWood never!
I like that there's a Tenessee plate as well. Nice touch. IYKYK
Very cool Francis!
Underrated for its price
I think the Titan is miles behind the competition with innovation, but there is a market for old school, solid trucks! I love my Pro 4X!
But the pricing is a good level.
I still have my 2002-tundra purchased new. 250k miles to date. I love Toyota but am concerned with their shift to turbo engines. That being said, the Titan has had some transmission issues. With my holding onto vehicles for a very long time, which do you think would be the most reliable long term? '
Hillarious. Great video.
Raiti flexin' the calfs @ 3:50 🦾
This is what Toyota should have done with their Tundra. A real truck, solid V8.
Nice truck 🤍🤍
I am glad that you think so.
It is not just a car, but rather a masterpiece and an elegant type of car.👍🌌🌹
Is there an integrated trailer brake controller in the infotainment center since it has the towing package?
