    Great list. I agree 100% with your rankings. Yodabashi is always my first stop. Then Yellow Submarine and Volks. I haven't been to Joshin yet, I'll check it out next time I go to Tokyo.

      Yes, it would be best if you considered visiting there for a new experience.
      If somebody goes to Akihabara, the three places are a must-see for model kits. They are positioned near each other and easily accessible.

    Wow! I go to Tokyo 4-5 times a year and didn't know about half of the shops on this list. The Joshin shop looks amazing. I heard of the one in Osaka but didn't know there was one in Tokyo. Though not in Tokyo, I'm a big fan of Volks Yokohama. More relaxed environment without the Akiba crowds. Thanks for the video!!

      The famous Joshin is indeed the one in Osaka
      but the one in Tokyo can also be an alternative, although it is not as big as the one in Osaka
      I've never been to Volks in Yokohama, so I think I should try it.

    Try "the model garage " in Shinjuku if you like vintage.
    Also most "Hard-off" have a model kit section usually 25% off main Tokyo retail price.

    Besides Leonardo LG there is also a shop called Leonardo ET, which is in the same area as Leonardo LG (a narrow street between the Akihabara main road and Esaki-Dori). It is just as packed as LG and the shop is just as small, so you can overlook it easily and like LG it only has secondhand and old model kits.

    Thank you for your fantastic video. I never really cared about Mandarake because they hardly have any model kits in Osaka. Next time I'm in Tokyo, I'll definitely take a look there. Can I mention another second-hand shop in Akiba? Not far from Leonardo LG is a small shop called Leonardo ET. It's a little difficult to find because it's also on a side street. But I think it's worth taking a look there. Especially since the store is only 2 minutes away from Leonardo LG.Have fun browsing Akiba.

    Question on tools, have you ever tried buying any Nippers or the like and try to bring it back home? I'm guessing you're from SEAsia from ur channel name, and I'm curious if you've ever tried bringing such "sharp tools" through airport checks
    Ive been to Tokyo twice and found cheap Godhands but my worry over airport checks have made me opt to not buy them

    • @caridanbeli
      @caridanbeli  27 днів тому

      I have never bought a nipper there.
      But I guarantee that if we carry it into the cabin, the airport personnel will dispose of it.
      Some friends have mentioned that nippers can be brought into checked baggage.
      However, it must be thickly wrapped and safely preserved.

    STOP USING AI TO NARRATE THESE VIDEOS!
    It terrible, difficult to follow and choppy. Half the time I have to go back to try to figure out what was said.
    Do it in Japanese if you like.
    Our phones can translate.
    Just because you CAN use AI for these sorts of things doesn’t mean that you SHOULD.

    • @caridanbeli
      @caridanbeli  13 днів тому

      II've explained this several times before
      And I apologize in advance if there is a bad voice
      I recorded my own voice. Then applied a voice filter.
      Because the quality of my microphone is not good.
      Unfortunately, one of my videos did not use a filter, and I received more insults (which I deleted).
      So this is the best option I have right now. I've included self-typed subtitles for anyone who find my voice unclear.
