I went to Tokyo last week and did a 1 day Gunpla hunt. At the end of the day, I ended up buying the most expensive Nu Gundam Metal Structure from Otachu. They had the best price for it since the shop was hard to find. And the exchange rate with the USA right now was good enough for me to buy it there. The hard part was carrying it. And in the streets of Akiba, so many tourists stopped me to ask where I got it.

The Unicorn PG was only selling for 20,000 yen (before 10% tax refund) 10:22 - I was in this Surugaya in Tokyo last year. Bought the Banshee PG for 19,800 yen only net of tax refund (advertised price was 22,000 yen). Damn I was lucky. Seeing your video showing the price is now 29,700 yen, I'm glad i bought it. Keep up the good videos! We need more gunpla lovers like you sharing with the community!

Next to 7th floor, there is Radio Kankan, in this building u can check out some floors. Volks and Yellow Submarine occupied a floor each. -kits and tools 3. Surugaya in Akihabara - kits 4. Jungle in Akihabara - kits 5. Tamtam hobby in Akihabara - tools 6. Nakano Broadway has 2 shops, Lanshinbang and special2 which is under Mandrake. -kits and lil bit of tools 7. 6th floor LAB1 @ ikebukoro - kits and tools 8. Yellow Submarine in Shinjuku - kits and tools 9. Yodobashi in Shinjuku, its near Yellow Submarine - kits and tools 10. Hobby Trader in akihabara - kits

The video shows one month ago (I watched today on 19 Dec), and wvery place you go thrre are MG Narrative Gundam Type C... I went to HK 2 weeks ago hoping to find MG Narrative, only one store sells at HKD$399 (roughly ¥7,592), and everywhere else I only see Sinanju Stein ver. Ka available... I had hoped I can get MG Narrative at a good price before I return to Canada, but ends up I see more MG Gundam Narrative here in Canada (3 stores i visited all have it), but I jave to pay 5% GST here when buying from here. I had to remind myself, if I am not building it right away, may as well delay time of purchase, but sometimes when you want to get the kit in question everywhere just suddenly sold out of it... 😢

Otachu Akihabara and Amiami were the best places to look for metal builds when I was there. There was some random shops that carried few metal builds, but rare ones.

The thing is, after covid in japan, mostly gunpla stocks status are no longer 'gunpla heaven' and you can no longer buy various gunpla kits like back then. Only the commonly found ones are regularly appearing on each stores. You still can find it on preowned stores like Mandarake(which is better selection than retails shops) but with higher price than in overseas hobby shop. You can see in this video one MG Build Strike for 20k++ yen.. Isnt that absurd. It should be around 4k-5k yen for modern MG kits. Shame this is happening in japan because of scalpers are greedy as fuck.
Yes, I agree The amount of stock and price are not the same as before There are many hoarders even in Japan itself Then they sell it at a very high price Scalpers are rampant when a new item is released. Even Gundam Calibarn can be very expensive at the beginning of its appearance The same goes for Premium Bandai So sad..
