- I bought an over-the-range microwave oven and had to change the direction of the exhaust fan. The directions made it seem more complicated than it really was. In this video, I will show how easy it is to change the vent direction on a Samsung over-the-range microwave oven.
you just saved me so much time! thank you man
Awesome thanks for the comment 👍
Thank you, this is much more clearer than the instruction manual!

Thank You So Much My Brother
Happy to help😁
That was helpful thx..

Is there only 2 positions (air out back or air out top) or is there a third where air would force out front?
There are only 2 directions for a vented microwave. However they do make vent less microwaves. You have to change the filter periodically. Google it.
The air can vent out the front on many microwaves. In fact the install manual on my samsung only mentions top, front, or non-vented. This video is the first I’ve ever seen of a back-vented setup. I’d refer to the install guide for doing front-vented.
Can you turn them into a direction to blow out the front of the microwave if you have no exhaust vent
If you have no exhaust vent, then you need a vent less microwave.
@@grandpadave8953 so it did have a vent at the front and after positioning the fan motor in the forward facing direction it indeed did blow out the front vent. Your video was helpful in finding Thais out
Do you know how to change the filters in that microwave
Sorry I missed your comment, No I haven't changed them yet.
How important it is to do this ? Cause I just installed mine and didn’t flip the exhuast fans 🤦♂️
If the fan is not blowing the exhaust out. It is pointless to turn it on, it would cause quite a mess before it stopped working. (in my opinion)
Okay thank you sir
can it be vented to nthe outside
You should have a vent already in place. If you don't I recommend getting a ventless microwave.
I think my contractor didn't do this, supposed to vent up to the new exhaust he made, fan is making plenty of noise but can barely hold a tissue up, brand new Samsung.
It comes from the factory vent up. So it might be an obstruction in the duct. One time I had a wasp nest blocking my vent.
Why changing it, I didn't undertood your need?
I needed the vent to go through a wall instead of up through the roof
