Thanks man. I wasn't sure how to attach the flapper. I had the lower edge behind the bottom tab which didn't seem right. The manual of course didn't cover this detail.
Thanks for the video.. I installed a new microwave several years ago.. but never thought much on it as to why the air blew into the house an not outside till my wife mentioned a grease spot on the ceiling from everything blowing into the house.. quick UA-cam search found this video an resolved my problem by flipping the fan.. all this time an the matter of 4 or 6 screw stood between me an proper stove venting/microwave
I would double check outside with the microwave running. Hold your hand in front of the vent to see if you feel anything. If it is on self venting then yes you will have to take it down to change the direction if you want it vented outside.
My vent fans turn on when I’m just using the microwave. For example put a glass of water inside for 30 seconds. When I press start I can hear the fan up top. Is this normal?

Thank you, Bro. I didn't know that much so long, over 4 years I have the unit vent into the room and started mess up the cabinets with the vapor.
Got a new microwave and realized the vent wasn't in the right spot. Thought I was totally screwed. Thanks for the video 👍

Awesome to hear I could help you out!!
How does that door switch with the two tabs on the top of the door frame restricting the door from swinging freely open? See 3:18 on video.
When it's vented to go outside like you have...should a little air still blow out the front vents? Not alot but a little?
We have cold air coming in from outside through the microwave, which way should the event be positioned?
This saved me , thank you!
Thank You thank you THANK You ! ❤

I have a new build house. I have vent going out to the roof but microwave is on self venting. So I need to take it off the wall and change the fan??

Hi guy I need two of this fan blades orator.

Run the Wire properly hide it under the Vent Fan. Do not run it over the vent fan spin blades and blocking the vent gap. 🤦♂🤦♀
