We arrived in Turkey, Bodrum and start our search for our new Ocean Fox.
We are hopping to find a bargain, if one exists in the Catamaran world. We are looking for one that needs a lot of love and care so can give it a new life. Just like recycling a boat, so let's see what Turkey has to offer on the catamaran market.
We are not sticking to the Lagoon brand, we are very open to anything out there!
On this episode we also bring you a little bit of the history in Bodrum and show you the Gulets, the motor sailing Yachts.
Gulet, derived from the French golette (or Schooner), is a traditional Turkish broad-beamed wooden coastal sailing vessel with a raised bow, a broad, flat stern, main foremast, and a secondary mast aft.
Gulets are particularly good as pleasure sailing vessels because of their broadbeam, which creates expansive deck space.

Have a look at the food we eat on board of Ocean Fox. A daily blog of our healthy lifestyle . We eat a Low Carb Mediterranean plant based diet and we just love it. Loads of fresh fish as we catch so much.

A little bit about us...
We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream!
Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia.
We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way.
Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is!
As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream.
We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

The T-shirt the Mrs. is wearing is that from Florida or the print was named Winter Garden?
No idea Juan, just random I think!
Sailing Ocean Fox. Would you be Willing to Come to America and maybe Fine a great Deal in a Hurricane damaged Catamaran? There are a lot. Also look at Lagoon Catamaran problems too. Peace be With You two.
The problem with those is getting insurance afterwards. Loads of work too and after the Barge we something not too difficult to work on it. Cheers
There’s an old cat that looks abandoned outside Nereus Boatyard in Rhodes, either a Lagoon or Leopard 38 I think……
Thank you! We might be going that way next week.
All right I’m just getting back to the channel what happened to the boat can somebody tell me
Which boat Lee?
Great video, thanks guys. Is Turkey /Greece the place you are looking for your next Catamaran because, good supply of boats, reasonable costs for boat work and marinas, etc and its the area in which you want to start off again on your sailing adventures? Would love to know bc I am looking at the same dream. Thank you!
Yes, we should be off to Greece next week. The plan is to leave from here when eventually we find a boat. Cheers
With all due respect that is a better view, i see sails and ocean in the back ground, this is one of my favorite Greek dish famous of Greek dishes, moussaka consists of layers of fried aubergine, minced meat and potatoes, topped with a creamy béchamel sauce ,Peace.
That sounds lovely. Cheers Juan
Please just get to the title. Very interested in looking at boats but not the history of turkey. I’ve been there several times and totally love Greece and islands. So why sell your other cat which was better than what youre looking for?
As we said at the beginning of the episode, they are going to be about the hunting for boats, the history of these places and kitesurfing.
We haven’t bought the boat yet so I don’t really understand how can you say the other one was a better boat?
We sold Ocean Fox for numerous reasons at the time, life changes and so do we. Thank you for your comment.
I’m going on what you said about buying a cheap boat to work on, whereas your other cat was in good shape. Hope this makes sense. I only know you said you wanted a cheap boat which will tie you down again for heaven knows how long to make it safe and fit for blue water sailing. I thought the other cat was fit for this purpose as you did cross seas on it. Please dont be offended that was not my intent. Just puzzled.
Wonderful video but the volume is extremely low.
Really? Doesn't happen on our side, strange! Thank you
hurry up and get back on the water
We are trying
Mannaggia, un'altra attesa vana. Ormai ho consumato i video con costume e senza.
