This week we look at our dream boat, the Lagoon 450 FLY.
This is the boat that we would like to buy to sail around the world. Five foot longer than the original Ocean Fox but it gives you so much more space to live in.
The whole boat has so much more to offer and if you are a live aboard just gives that more extra space for all your toys, spare parts, extra sails, etc. The walking areas are much bigger do you don't bump into your crew all the time. Also you have the front lounge that gives you the opportunity to be at the front when the weather allows.
Liking the FLY bridge is quite a surprise for us as you are much more exposed to weather up there, but it is something that we are looking forward to have this time.

A little bit about us...
We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream!
Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia.
We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way.
Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is!
As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream.
We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it. - Розваги

We have spoken to Colin from Parlay. This problem it’s not exclusive from Lagoon, others brands are experiencing the same but they dealt better with social media than Lagoon so not many people are aware of it.
Whatever boat we buy they will have to be checked and reinforced. Cheers

Id walk away from Lagoons , Not many selling in this area & what are are being discounted big time mind none have had the BH issue looked at by the owners ?
I can’t see them being on a lower price due to the bulkheads issue. May I ask where are you located?
We are aware of those problems but that doesn’t really put us away from the brand. As long as they are checked and reinforced I don’t see a problem. Others major brands have the same problem but they have addressed the issue differently. Cheers Bill
@@SailingOceanFox NZ & Australia , Maybe its because there was a very large coverage of the incident with 'Parley Revival' , My friend a long time broker has said people are still lo' 30-40 % less then the asking price unless they have a full independent survey on the repairs/Fix ?
@@billhanna8838 maybe Colin made a difference there. 30/40% from the asking price it’s a lot. Could you direct us to your friend?
@@SailingOceanFox That's what they are offering , Particle the ex charter ones coming in from the bahamas & with the interest rates going frew the roof , Job loses , Tight times down this end of the woods for a lot of people , Marina cost going up ?? Id tend to hang on for awhile .
Only if you want bulkheads with more flex than a Russian gymnast.
Do you think only Lagoons have bulkheads problems?
@@SailingOceanFox far more than their fair share, haven't heard of others in anywhere near the numbers as with Lagoon. If there is I would be interested to know!
@@popeyeseamaster87 well I will tell something that we have heard about from a genuine source. Al the major brands are experiencing problems like Lagoon but they have dealt with social media far better than Lagoon, fixing them up straight away and giving a great customer service.
Well, as we all know Lagoon didn’t dealt well at all with social media and didn’t gave enough or any support in some countries. Apparently they did better in Australia but not on this side of this world I am afraid! So that’s why we all know about Lagoon bulkheads and nothing about the problems on other brands. Anyway, it’s all fixable but costly!
I prefer my land property and plenty of holidays.

Sorry, don’t agree. These vessels have built in structural faults caused by poor design and should be much cheaper because of that.
Doesn’t look like the prices are coming down because of the faulty design
@@SailingOceanFox Would you consider a Leopard around the same size, structural integrity beyond doubt plus the sacrificial keel and ability to take the ground safely is a big plus?
