Glad to see everything came off without fighting you too much. Excited to see this car in person and get it back on the road! Thank you for your hard work.
It's amazing to think you can get the pre-assembled sections to repair the frame with. A complete underbody rebuild in 3 pieces is something I would never have thought possible. So glad Chris decided to fix the Mustang, and chose the right man to do the job.
Great video for anyone that had never seen the process. Too bad I didn't see this in 1999. Mr. Peterson knows from experience where each fastener and part goes, so he doesn't have to waste time bagging and tagging each fastener or part, which I did. Mr. Peterson must have a wealth of storage space for all those parts. His shop is almost clinically clean and orderly. What took Peterson and Chris a few weeks, took me six years. The internet and the aftermarket parts suppliers were not yet what they are today.
Been here a few years back man ! I have a 68 coupe it had rust in several places it was still in very good shape & the rust had to go ! New hood & trunk sheet metal good to go ! 😁👍
61 now , when in high school I restored three Mustangs, one for me one for my sister and one for my youngest brother, mine was a 67 coupe same color green if I remember right it’s called dark Moss green , I ended up selling mine to help pay for college , sold it to my uncle. He offered it back about 15 years ago. I wanted to buy it for my daughter, but my wife Said no shoulder straps no airbags no way and at the time I didn’t have a place to keep it inside so my uncle traded it in on a new Ford escape and they displayed it for a long time on the showroom, don’t know what became of it. I wish I would’ve bought it so I’ll watch you put this one together.
I just bought a 68 xr7 f code cougar in south Georgia, originally from nj😢. Floors, quarters I know need replacing. Car hadn't run in 20 plus years. Checked the fluids and hooked it up to a gas can and runs ! And runs well!. Following!
Came over from NNKH, glad to see the mustang get worked on. Looking forward to seeing you work on the mustang. And find myself curious to see more work. Will gladly sub and watch.
On my Mopar A-bodies, I did the US Car Tool chassis stiffening set up. Both have the subframe connectors, torque boxes, A pillar-to- shock mount top reinforcement braces, and core supports are done. The sedan have just the lower reinforcement while the '69 Swinger has the entire, thicker core support panel and has been mini-tubbed to the rails with the springs re-located inboard (so I can fit 10" rims). Absolutely transforms the vehicle. I was putting the sedan on jack stands, by the time I put the 3rd jack stand in place, the 4th wheel was off the ground & the doors still opened like butter. The sedan has a Bergman Auto Craft front set up with Bilsteins at all corners, JRSpring XHD rear springs & a rear sway bar from Firm Feel. Brakes are also 4-wheel discs (12" front, 11.2" rear)- the car is really fun to drive US Car tools also makes Mustang chassis stiffening kits, definitely recommend
My sister and b-i-l bought a new 67 mustang 6cyl before 1970 it was very hard to start. I pulled the head off and it had 4 burnt exhaust valves. Had the head fixed then they bought a 76 mustang 4banger. They should have kept the 67.
Cool! Im doing a 67 Cougar including a torque box addition, shock tower replacement and have questions about my frame alignment too! So I hope to learn from your installations. I patched up the inner cowl. I didn't trim the new torque box for the passenger side at all and just levered it in as someone suggested to me. Not sure if it may have altered the floor and rocker geometry and subsequent door fit. I need to patchup the seat risers too as the repro ones are taller.🤔 So I'm looking forward to Video 2. Cheers from Oz(tralia) 😁
Amazing videos of this vehicle. This is a real legendary mustang. Please send links to the completes restoration after Pete amazing body work revamp. I want to see the complete mechanical and complete restoration of this car until completion. Thanks
Ive watched this 4 times already and im amazed at how you have this down to a science ! When you first talked with chris you made it sound easy & well i guess for you it us lol ! Im gonna check out Your green mustang build while waiting Paintently for the second video to come out ! Great Work !
You’ve probably been asked this before which source for body steel is the most accurate used in these restorations? Thank you for the detail in your process.👏👏👏
You are awesome. I'd really like to have one of these cars that have been gone through by someone like you who knows exactly how to do this right. I really enjoy watching your videos and I'm also shocked at the amount of work you were able to do in such a short period of time. Wow!
I have a 66 2+2 I have had for over 12 years it needs a lot. I wanted to ask you how you determine on what to start with first. I have a full floor pan, firewall, full rails and shock towers, full quarter panel, and inner and outer tire tubs. I would like your recommendation on what to start with. Thank You.
I’m a big NNKH fan and also owned a Mustang many years ago. Looking forward to seeing what you can do with it. Approximately what does it cost for work like this?
This may sound silly, but would you put out a quick video on where you place your jack stands on the car? I usually use the front frame rails and rear torque boxes, but looks like you're using the pinch rails. I've always been nervous about putting them there thinking it would cause damage.
I’ll be waiting for this video. Sent Chris bring it to you. I can’t wait to see what you’re gonna do with it. I’ve been watching your video. You do a excellent.👍👍
I've been watching you're videos for motivation. I'm starting on a 70 mach 1 that needs full cowl, b pillars floor pans and radiator support. Where do you like to buy your mustang sheetmetal from?
R U putting in a MII front like Stacy David did on his '67 Cougar ? One of my workmates had a new Mustang back in "68 and got front ended. It was that color. Here in Boston area, I wonder ?
Love the channel you do excellent work. GLAD to see that he's getting the rust repaired. But I wish he would spend some money on a new paint job to me. It's disappointing that Look, it's not for me, I get it. It's not my car and I can't spend somebody else's money. But still it's disappointing I'd like to see that Mustang painted
I guess because when I was younger. I used to work at a body shop. And I did all that kind of work. Fix rust weld in new panels and Paint cars, it was very satisfying.
Glad to see everything came off without fighting you too much. Excited to see this car in person and get it back on the road! Thank you for your hard work.
Come on Chris! You have to take this one all the way!
And I'm here because of your work Chris! I did say "NNKH sent me"
It's coming along. Nice work. Heading to part 2 now. Chris, glad you're getting this done.
It's amazing to think you can get the pre-assembled sections to repair the frame with. A complete underbody rebuild in 3 pieces is something I would never have thought possible. So glad Chris decided to fix the Mustang, and chose the right man to do the job.
You can buy the whole car today all brand new parts if you want that
Its cool when the youtube algorithm connects you from other channels, I'm here from NNKH 😊
You guys who do this kind of work are MAGICIANS. I can do Mechanical work, engine work, etc. But this kind of stuff is pure Magic.

its a pleasure to watch a craftman work
My first Mustang was a 67 coupe. I had it repainted a color similar to this one. This brings back memories of so long ago.
Cheers. Glad you’re helping Chris.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this restoration. I watch Chris and Jennifer's channels, They seem like awesome people.
It’s nice to see these cars go back on the road
I love your videos. You know more about early Mustangs than anyone I've ever seen. Thank you!
Thanks, learning still every day
Amazing the patience you have
I'm glad to see the first update on the car. Looking forward to part two.

Every car is different as far as cost and sorry I can’t say this cars price because I don’t want to put the owners prices online.
you are the luckiest man in the world to have such a mustang😢😢😢
I come from NNKH can’t wait to see your skills
Wow! Thanks for Saving another Mustang!

My 65 Fastback in my avatar is up on a set of quickjacks using their pinchweld blocks. The pinchwelds are a factory jacking point.
I’ll try to include that in a future video. Pinch welds are very strong point on these cars actually.
@@petersonrestorationsthanks

I've been watching you're videos for motivation. I'm starting on a 70 mach 1 that needs full cowl, b pillars floor pans and radiator support. Where do you like to buy your mustang sheetmetal from?
My first time trying something like this. You're videos have really helped in letting me see what to expect.
Thanks for watching, I typically buy all my metal right from dynacorn. But you need an account to buy from them direct.
R U putting in a MII front like Stacy David did on his '67 Cougar ?
One of my workmates had a new Mustang back in "68 and got front ended. It was that color.
Here in Boston area, I wonder ?
I think his plan is to stay stock
NNKH sent me! Man, you do work, and good videos! I'm a subscriber now.
Nice work
It's my big dream in life to own this car, it's a pity that this dream will remain😢😢😢
Good work
Ben, Where did you source these new apron assemblies and what brand are they?
Big job but it really needs it
Where are you located? I have a 1967 Ford Fairlane and the cowl is leaking when it rains.
Love the channel you do excellent work. GLAD to see that he's getting the rust repaired. But I wish he would spend some money on a new paint job to me. About how many hours did this take altogether ?

Being such a wreck maybe it should become a faux fastback with a dynacorn roof? Just not another Elenor.
Did someone put a dome light under the hood for a light 😂
Which one piece floor pan do you use?
Dynacorn supreme floor pan assembly
What would it take for you to do a 68 cougar I have one with your name on it and I’m sure the viewers want to see it
