Cars from 60s and 70s had different keys for ignition/doors than trunk/glove box. The ignition was a square head for Ford and GM. The trunk/glove box had a round key. That was for having the car serviced only needed the ignition key.
"Service vehicle" as in cop cars. Fire trucks. Ambulances. Military, that kind of thing. They came with single keys for simplicity sake. "Anyway..." back at you
Woodgrain nardi steering all the way That car sounded like jumanji beats😂😂 Nice score. Donor cars are the best investments. Project ends up costing half as the sale of the Xtra parts supplement the build
What a great episode for bot cars. I’m excited to see the work done on the Mustang and in love with the evolving GT3 Porsche. Thank you so much., Guys.
Hurts to see, but parts are cheap and so simple to work on, take the back seat out to get in the trunk Headlights are amazon specials theyre the same size as any jeep get something a little more fitting in there
Matt's a pretty good cameraman.Awesome shots. The 'Stang will look Awesome with the new stuff. The gauge said about 7K miles,so that engine is fresher.Beefy cam too.Porche does look New ahgain.Great work!
This is a parts car dream. I mean it has everything you need to make a clean solid body Mustang completely Sick! You are correct! That body is Toast! The thing is, It has all the goodies you need to make a super clean shell into a Fantastic Mustang Restomod!
the old porker is coming on nicely - do love that colour - Mexico Blue hmmmm and the mustang looks like a cracking project - wow i'd forgot about the straight one, i remember it being painted when you had pretty much just started working there, will be a great project so true, nice to take stuff off and put in the new car
that mustang build in a week is a great goal but im gonna tell you from experience that it dont work like that your gonna have missing stuff, broken stuff , shit that dont work i dont want to hurt your feelings but this is what happens good luck bro your killin it a few more years and you will be workin for your self
There is a round head key for the truck on old Fords. You got an awesome deal on the car. The engine probably has a crushed pipe at the exhaust manifold and it may be forcing backpressure into the block. I will be watching to see you build this great car!
Understand not everyone has unlimited budget, that’s a not a bad buy at all, Front suspension is stock not coilovers, 8 inch rear end too Barry Grant steering wheel Good luck, oh I’d throw those headlights in the bin 😀😀😀
Crazy how those Mustangs are similar in color. Great choice to part it ok. I’d use the engine from the wreck mustang. But go fuel injections. Also I bet that transmission got busted from the wreck. Great work Marc as usually. ❤❤
Look son!! I got you a fully restored high performance Mustang for your 11th grade graduation present to go with your brand new driver license. No more riding that BMX bicycle. Whoops, don’t get your new pant leg stuck in that chain.
The ignition switch on that car is obviously from a 1965 or 66 mustang. Starting in 1967. They had one of those two-way keys which you could put in either way. The trunk lock is still a 67 lock that uses a two-way key. I hope this helps.
A kid at work told me, his Dad gave him a completely restored and updated 67' Mustang for his 17th Birthday . He said he totalled it, just 2 weeks later . This..could be the same car ...😳
They ain’t nobody else that could get the 400 down that stretch any faster and on that same note she will weighs a lot less than any body else that would be trying it so she has a natural advantage over others
If the radiator isn't hurt or the driveline I would take the car to car shows maybe lol..My brother had a big ol 64 4door Oldsmobile that the passengers side was banged up bad and he drove it everywhere ...It'd smoke the tires at 30mph and it was a big ol family car with a 431 or 421 big block engine and it ran really good. He took it to a drag track but I don't remember what the ET was..He found a big ol Buick body that was in nice shape but the engine was bad and he put everything out of the Oldsmobile in the Buick and it didn't run anything like that banged up car did..I'm pretty sure if he'd changed the rearend it'd ran the same as the Oldsmobile did. The doors worked and I don't know how cause it shouldn't been allowed on the roads but in the early 70s the police didn't bother people cause they knew everyone drove what they could afford..I'm hoping yall can get the Mustang going again cause it looks brand new inside and once upon a time the whole car looks like it was a show car..Good luck with it...
They don't want to fix they want the parts, I don't remember the caramo that was restored was hit harder then that car, the caramo is looking good now.
The Porsche came out hot, love it.
Cars from 60s and 70s had different keys for ignition/doors than trunk/glove box. The ignition was a square head for Ford and GM. The trunk/glove box had a round key. That was for having the car serviced only needed the ignition key.
...there is an exception- service vehicles. One key for door, trunk, ignition and glove box (if you ordered the lock).
@@olikat8Ford had a double key where it could be put in the cyl. Anyway
"Service vehicle" as in cop cars. Fire trucks. Ambulances. Military, that kind of thing. They came with single keys for simplicity sake. "Anyway..." back at you
Talk about a parts car. That's amazing getting all those parts.
If you can't fix that car you ain't no bodyman.
Just depends on the frame weather bent or not
Just depends on if you have a new body laying around.
@@scottkellogg8145no frame, unibody. But I get what you meant.
Why don't you buy the shell and show them how it's done
Cool Mustang build. Hang tough. You can do it!
That was an amazing deal considering all the good parts on it
Agreed
great stuff thanks, that is a nice score.
The body on that Porsche is pure Marc. 🙏👍
Woodgrain nardi steering all the way

My name is Abner I'm a tinker here in Brazil . I do restoration in old cars and I would like to meet you guys in your workshop a hug .
That was a steal of a lifetime! Can't wait to see this build done!
Looking forward to the Mustang vids.

The car won't keep running, could the fuel line run along the wrecked side? Pinched really bad maybe.
the old porker is coming on nicely - do love that colour - Mexico Blue hmmmm

That Mustang is definitely great for parts. Love the Porsche ~ Awesome job with it! Keep Orange Crushing It!
Grant Steering Wheels makes quality classic wheels. I have put them on cars and trucks I have since the 80's
Love the 67. I have one sitting in my shed with 18.000 original miles on it. Been sitting since 1970 but well taken care of over the years.
Do a leak down test on the engines.
That's a great parts car.
Awsome parts car, will be following this build. Go with a woodgrain oem steering wheel
That tie rod fix is epic 😂😂
Keep up the good work and videos bro
Great video 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Great job. Stay safe and be well. God bless

I put a efi kit on my sons ‘67 mustang 289….man what a diffrence…currently in the process of building an aluminum headed later model 5.0 roller motor
About time the mustang returns I'm super happy 😊😁
You and me both 😂

There not even close to the same color 😂😂. Think you better get your eyes checked.
@@jerrywilcox9890 did I ask you Mr Cox. No!
@bobbyjay75 lol I don't give a shit if you did or didn't.wilcox is my name more it's a town dip shit haha.
That old bent shell could be straightened and fitted with a fastback conversion.
I’d like to know why UA-cam unsubscribed me from the channel! Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
Vintage Burgundy. Had it been a Fastback I would have cried
We used to go through junk yards back in the day, with a good sized flat head screwdriver and a hammer to open the trunks on every car there.
Probably had one key for ignition and another for doors and trunk.
get a microphone that is pins on you.
I heard him good the whole time, get some headphones
Tell Vtuned to finish his mustang build!!
Happy to see you finally get a muscle car to rebuild on the channel 😊
It's not his
It’s a parts car for Larry’s

bet vtuned has all the parts you guys need, he has taken apart like 3 of them.
you will have a drivers side and passenger rear quarter. maybe even a roof if you found something needing a roof.
Damn that's what your brother needs right there vtuned definitely could use this
Facts
Everything has to be ‘super’? 😂
Check fuel flow. Damaged fuel lines?
i am looking forward for the mustang build
I wish you would continue the m3 replica build
Mustang swap makes perfect sense..❤❤❤
The wheels are tires on the build Mustang is going to look badass
Wonder if distributor cap got busted and now has moisture inside it causing it to run that way
1967 was the only year they had a high center in the Stern wheel would be nice to put that back on there
Thats one of John Wicks cars.😂
Ok after seeing more of this I think you should put it on the other car and let this go. Good luck
tnx for the video
Back in the day we repaired cars hit that way!
if you "only fix" the wrecked pieces side" and the grill along with the paint how much would it cost to buy the car?"
Timing off?
I seen this for sale. Almost bought it myself. But I have to many projects already.
Check out thunderhead 289..he has a electronic Carb tunning kit. Probably smashed body worth money for panels to somebody..
You dont know the square/round Ford keys?
All can be fixed, its only about time and money you want to spend on it.
Try the remote on the trans tunnel
So, painting a car with a roller is not good?
A kid at work told me, his Dad gave him a completely restored and updated 67' Mustang for his 17th Birthday . He said he totalled it, just 2 weeks later . This..could be the same car ...😳
Gday mate a bit late to the party but every coment counts yeh
What's wrong with the carburetor why run fuel Injection truthfully the fuel injection system can cause more issues but depends upon preference
Was going to say those parts would look great on my 67. 😁
All that money,and they didn't swap in a 9inch?🤔
Why not buy a new fastback shell from Dynacorn n fill it up with the parts?! 💯🗽🇺🇸
We have a completely restored mustang body 😂😅
Make 2 of them.@@Mtech_garage
Tiny little discs up front and drums on the rear...a Mustang accident was looking for a place to happen .
I've seen worse off cars rebuilt. That Mustang deserves reviving, not being stripped.
it has a 2nd key for the trunk
You gonna have a classic mustang before vtuned!!
I vote against the headlights. But just my opinion.
Possibly the fuel line got kinked off underneath some where. ???
The black mustang is not good. It's not mine.😅😅
360p?
👍
They ain’t nobody else that could get the 400 down that stretch any faster and on that same note she will weighs a lot less than any body else that would be trying it so she has a natural advantage over others
Ignition key and trunk key are different. Trunk is round
If you are Lucky the other motor with the tall valve covers is newer Roller 302. PLEASE Don't use those Headlights!!!
Different key for the trunk

It is a unibody, I guess they could push it out and plumb it out! Good luck!
U gays need to do a visit to goonzquad with the gt3
You.can.do
It.
They don't want to fix they want the parts, I don't remember the caramo that was restored was hit harder then that car, the caramo is looking good now.
This is the floor board tho and it twisted the chasis, if it was the quarter like the Camaro then yea it could be fixed
Dude that mustang is fixable u can do it with a new floor a door and fender with some tweaking on frame machine it a shame to destroy it like that
It’ll never be the same it’s all twisted.
Even if they did all that work the rest of the body is likely all Bondo, based on the trash paint job.
@@MrWoodyBalto yes i see the rest of the car is not in gr8 shape he is right
Chopshop time and sell all the other unused parts.
