Man, you got yourself a lift and you got that new garage finished. You've really made some upgrades, dude. Congratulations on all the success you've been having!
Tell you what, I'm 79 years old. My first automotive job was at a Rambler/Metropolitan dealership as a lot boy after school. Put a 52 Cadillac engine in my 49 Ford when I was 18. Worked at various dealerships, gas stations, and garages over the years until I switched occupations. That was absolutely the first time I ever saw anybody pull an engine with the hood on! I was really looking forward to watching you put the engine back in with the hood on! Didn't happen. Now that I've pulled your chain a little 🙂 just want you to know I really like your channel. If I wasn't so old I would have made you an offer on the Torino. Really liked that car!! Keep up the good work and keep your hood up! or off....
Don’t take the hood off unless absolutely necessary.sits around taking up space, good chance of getting damaged, then the damn adjustment could give you problems even if you mark it and use the old bolt position marks in the paint.
I popped a 390 out of my 67 f250 and put it back without taking the hood off. Yeah it's harder but it's nice to close it and cover everything if you're not finished. And yes the hood alignment is still the same
I'm 81 and have always been a GM guy. But I love this channel. You are I were lucky enough to be born at the right time to truly enjoy the evolution of cars and music. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Said to my wife last night "man, its alot better watching someone else doing a rebuild, then doing it myself" hahaha. Good channel.
Always get a "breathable" car cover. I get them from HP and the cost about $50. They do have to be replaced every year because the sunlight and UV rays make them porous and brittle. But that's what the covers are there for, primarily to absorb and protect against UV rays, which destroy all plastic, leather and rubber parts -- interior too, dashboards, rubber weatherstripping and plastic trim especially. If you own a convertible, the breathable cover will save your top and prolong its life by 10 years. Oh yes, a desiccant pillow in the trunk and under one of the front seats will absorb massive amounts of moisture and protect the wiring and leather from corrosion/mould. Every month or so, remove the desiccant pouch and leave it on a radiator or in a sunny window to dry out for 24 hours, then return to car.
Yes good thing you notice the spring popped off those can make a real mess without a doubt I've actually had to repair the Carnage it could cost you everything
Hey Chris, I haven't watched a lot of your videos (yet) but I have to say that I really like how you see a problem and just dive right in like it's no big deal. The Gus-man needs a nail trim Chris :) I've had dogs all my life and I just set a reminder in my email calendar to do it once a month. That way, you get them used to it and you're only ever just taking a smidge off and there's no danger of getting into the quick, if you're skilled. As it stands at this point, you'll have to be more aggressive with how much you have take off and that's where you can get into trouble and get into the quick with black nails, that you're guessing on. They hate that :) And, you'll make them wary of the whole process as a consequence. I'd say, take a safe amount off, then revisit the trim in two weeks. Then, just take off a bit and repeat in another two weeks. The quick will recede as the nail gets shorter, so your job will get easier as time progresses. You just have to keep on top of it. Just don't get carried away :) I've seen owners that have their dog's nails so short, they look ridiculous and the dog can't do what they should naturally be able to do in soft terrain. Basic rule of thumbs is, once they don't make any of that clicking sound when walking on a hard surface, that's the perfect length, you don't have to go any shorter. Dog advice over :) Loved the video! That is one beautiful car your friend has. Thanks as always for posting and looking forward to the next one! Cheers, Sev

Not to mention making the dumb-ass "Look at me, I'm going to cause trouble!" statement cops just love. Just love the flow to your videos my man, been watching for a long time. My life has been much like yours doing same type of stuff for 35 years since i was a kid. My first car was a free 1978 pontiac sunbird a friend on my school bus parents owned and after seeing it sit a few weeks of school and dropping him off I asked him about it and the parents gave it to me. I got it towed to my house and ended up doing timing gears on it. Was a 2.3 liter maybe? Cant remember but it was green coupe white interior clean car rwd auto.... I played with that car everyday and finally fixed it granted i was a tooth off or maybe it had a bent valve cause it never ran perfect. But I just figured stuff out, been doing that my whole life.

My favorite was a 73 , always 302,4bbl, Vacuum tuned . True love
We need whoever that guy is in more videos!!!!
Wow I’m not a Ford guy by any means, but the convertible is pretty sharp.i just bought a 68 off the scrap guys trailer, and after four wheel cylinder kits,a few double re-flares,and the three oil galley plugs under the timing cover which the “rebuilder”left out it has oil preasure and scoots down the road perfectly.now its looking for a new owner.
My 1966 Cyclone GT was same color with new black top. The black side “go faster” racing stripe was wider offering 17% more power. I did have dual thrush that were jammed on to pipes and fell off twice. So cool straight! 1971 was a good year.
gotta be one of the best looking paint schemes I've seen on a mustang like that
Thanks for the vid Chris enjoyed it 👍
Before you bang in a lip seal ,fill the spring side with Grease to hold the spring in place. 😊
You need to give us longer videos my man! 38 minutes for an engine swap? Give me more!! Lmaooo all jokes aside longer videos are a must! I appreciate all your attention to detail and im sure thousands of others do!
I SWEAR I saw this car on Facebook Marketplace and I was looking to buy it, as I live in Mass, it was nearby my place! This car is AWESOME! Mustangs are my FAVORITE!
I had a station wagon in the 70s Yuk but it had a 429 boss under hood. Thats what this car needs
This looks like a fun project Chris. Definitely enjoying the channel.
Neat tip pack the wheel seal with wheel bearing grease and it keeps the spring from popping out during installation.
From Charming to EPIC, you are a Sith Mechanic my friend, Jen and your little dog to!!
That is one good looking Stang ..... nice 347 Stroker ..... ya need to talk him into 3" exhaust ... if not its gonna hold it back .. also exhaust dumps .. for that extrat punch when needed .... I have always did 10 tight turns right and 10 tight turns left (steering wheel locked each way) after changing a positrac rear differential fluid. Was told it forces the clutches open and allows differential fluid and positive fluid to really Pentwater the clutches.
Great work 👌, glad owner sorted brakes out beforehand, we can all drive fast but stopping is the important bit !! A job befoe any engine mods plus suspension, thanks for sharing 👍💨💨
Super cool project. Did a fantastic job. Great video
I built my wife a 347 Windsor for drag racing that run on methanol …..here in Western Australia. Beautiful little engines …ran 10.11 at 136 mph on the 1/4 mile ..that start up reminded me of it.love your channel BTW 👍
Nice job Chris! I wish you had held on to that Pontiac LeMans convertible you bought last year. It would've made for some good content doing more work on it. Plus, you and Jen would've had a cool summer cruiser for the shore and other places.
Love your choice of tunes
Wow Chris that sounds badass shes gonna rip great job bud thats a huge job
