How did you convert it to awd did you use the 90s astro parts that came awd or? Trying to maybe make my S10 AWD been trying to figure out a good way to do it
Oldsmobile(being GM still) made a chevy blazer/gmc jimmy look-alike called the bravada. It came with a "smarttrak" system that controlled a transfer case (like a 4wd) into going from 2wd, into awd automatically. Giving better traction when needed. Was great for older fold up north in the snow or lived down dirt roads. They could get in it and forget it. My boss has one 190k still running. My point was they use these transfer case in replacement of the 4x4 t case bolt right in I would assume. I haven't done much research on the topic specifically but I've seen guys do it.

Nice video. I'm guessing the stock V6 Vortec heads is where the most power could be had. There isn't really much out there in the aftermarket for the 4.3L V6 other than Brodix has some heads for it. I'm not sure about cams and intakes. You could do some good porting on those heads and get great gains over the stock flow. I think I read somewhere that someone (Hot Rod?) did some flowbench testing and the gains were significant but compared to aftermarket V8 heads, they we're low. Keep plugging along. Nice to see the 4.3L get some recognition for a power build. Oh, and PowerNation has a 4.3L build going on right now that you might be able to snag some ideas from.

This cam will need the PAC-1218 springs and I highly recommend Morel lifters. I can look up the comp part #s for the valve retainers and locks to make it a drop in for the springs and they usually clear up to .530 lift . Do your rocker arms have the pivot ball or the later roller trunnion (like the ls motors with 8mm bolt) That cam will make you 100hp+ more, a very flat torque curve up to 5300 (I limit my rpm to 5800)at a lower boost level. ua-cam.com/video/6l4b4KDsmzc/v-deo.html is of my 4.3 in my 84 rx7 Let me know if your interested the cam. Hey man watch Dickey scoggins 4.3 shootout. It’s the newer gen 4.3 and made 600+ hp on a turbo and a stage two came and some race gas you should check it out planning on doing this in my 4.3 next year
The boost does what a polished manifold does. Don't need both. It's like adding eleven things to an engine, all claiming 10% gas improvement and expecting a 10% surplus of gas. Two technologies to move more air don't add any more air than one technology. The amount of air volume is limited.

Hi, i Also have a s10 v6 here in Brazil, my project is to install a turbo but, overhere is very hard to find the pieces and too expensive, i watched all your vídeos building your s10, v
In the past I’ve read Crower has a stroker crankshaft I think it cost over 4k do you know anyone with that build and how much a difference it makes
I have a Comp 56-000-8 custom cam for that block. intake 271 exhaust 276 on a 112° LC 4° advanced. in .500 ex .510.. If your heads have 10mm base screw in rocker studs I got the arp ones in 3/8.. This cam will need the PAC-1218 springs and I highly recommend Morel lifters. I can look up the comp part #s for the valve retainers and locks to make it a drop in for the springs and they usually clear up to .530 lift .
Do your rocker arms have the pivot ball or the later roller trunnion (like the ls motors with 8mm bolt)
That cam will make you 100hp+ more, a very flat torque curve up to 5300 (I limit my rpm to 5800)at a lower boost level.
ua-cam.com/video/6l4b4KDsmzc/v-deo.html is of my 4.3 in my 84 rx7
Let me know if your interested the cam.
Robert.
Hey love the truck! What radiator support is that?
I made it
What are the specs of your fuel delivery, if stock pump and injectors then that’s impressive but I need to know, building a turbo Jimmy.
Walbro 450 pump and ID1050x injectors
Are you feeding your turbo from all 6 exhaust ports?
Stock ECU?
I have a s10 with rear mount turbo . Had a few tuning questions for ya if you ever have the chance
I have a 2021 Silverado with the 4.3L V6 and would love to have a turbo installed on it. Is this a possibility? Not sure about the differences in the generations of 4.3Ls. I just want more power to improve street drivability, not looking to race it. What can you tell me about the possibilities?
Hey man watch Dickey scoggins 4.3 shootout. It’s the newer gen 4.3 and made 600+ hp on a turbo and a stage two came and some race gas you should check it out planning on doing this in my 4.3 next year
Whatch Scoggin Dickie Chevrolet video on the 4.3
IVE FOUND THE STOCK HEADS TO BE A LIMITING FACTOR AND WHY YOU DIDNT SEE GAIN FROM THE INTAKE..MAYBE GET HEADS PORTED
You need a lot more camshaft my guy 😁
Would the 4200 fit in that thing? Or would you have to get a Colorado?
The boost does what a polished manifold does. Don't need both. It's like adding eleven things to an engine, all claiming 10% gas improvement and expecting a 10% surplus of gas. Two technologies to move more air don't add any more air than one technology. The amount of air volume is limited.
Hey man I got a question how did you run actually fuel injectors in the 4.3 and avoid the spyder injection
Custom intake manifold, check out my other videos
Did the intake in the video look like what you run? Did you see the fuel rails? Did you actually watch the video??
Bro please respond. You have inspired me to build something
401 wow nice work
I want that intake manifold you’re using, can you help me, I’m on a fully built long block
What is all that you have done too the v6?
Do have any info on the install of that aluminum core support? Thought about getting one for my '01 ls swap s10 project.
Can you help me make this intake manifold, I’ve got a built long block ??
Put bigger ratio rockers in it and go back to the dyno. They will exaggerate the stock cam
I've thought about it, but they don't make drop in replacements for mine as far as I'm aware.
I’m buying an s10 v6 single cab next week . Want it to have a bit more balls before turbo what should I do that also isn’t going to break the bank also it’s going to be a daily with or without turbo
if you don't gap those piston rings you may blow up the engine over boosting.
