No matter how many AI Navy stacks the enemy throws at you, one can efficiently dominate the seas of Japan with a cheap stack of mostly bow kabas and medium bunes.
Rule 1. Bow Kaba Spam Rule 2. You only truly need one commanding non-bow kaba unit, such as a medium Bune. Rule 3. Reach fire arrows in the Bushido Tree Rule 4: Proceed to spam these units and have naval dominance
3 or 4 bow kobayas is all you need to take down that fleet. More than that is wasting money. Sengoku bunes are best attacked from the rear. All their archers are at the front of the boat, so attacking from the rear means they cannot fire back. You can put the fire out on your boats. Stop firing, stop moving and hit the repair button.
Certainly. I've beaten this game in Legendary difficulty, and although the archery tree is important, it's more of an early mid-game achievement, priority should always be Chi Tree.
i have 2000 hrs in this game and i have NEVER finished a navel battle, its way too slow and boring and simply not worth the effort. spam medium bunes and auto resolve if you have the money. Even if you lose and enemy navy completely overpowers you on the campaign map, the AI just isn't smart enough to beat you. They always send army's to the same shores which are easy to defend. even in the late game when the AI constantly spam full stack naval units, there's just no real point to counter them as they pose absolutely no threat to your settlements. you can literally beat this game, completely ignoring naval altogether.

Why do you need a leader

> This is why bow kabas are super overpowered
> This thing is catching on fire
> Silence...
Great video tho
Great guide and demonstration. I always neglect the archery tree but yeah, fire works pretty well on wooden boats huh?

whenever I ignore navy, a big enemy force invades my provinces.
Well and what do you do if it rains ?
Real question
RUN AWAY. Usually, it never rains. Often I will have a few fire bomb kabas, then can annhilate anything.
Wait
Awesome! Now do FOTS! 😄
Or just spam nanban trade ships lmao
Not as Shimazu lol. Yes I also use Nanban ships when I'm the Otomo.
Yeah, despite their op-ness, they are very expensive to run and are limited to Christianity. (Doesn't stop me from mass producing them though)
